Aircraft tests like on the A380 are always spectacular.
and scary
@@danksbrother
For who?.......not the pilots, they live for this stuff!
@@sanddabz5635 yup. Looks like fun to me.
@@danksbrother you're not wrong, a lot of accidents happen in these shows.
There are no tests in this video. The A380 is years past the testing stage, this is an air show!
as a general rule of thumb for (regular) viewers of this channel: when the plane doesn't sport an actual airline livery, it might just be either an outright test or a performance display for demonstration purposes (aka, stun and awe the public 😅)
Arm chair expert
@@TheLukaszpg you disagree?
People are so mean over a good comment jeez
@@TheLukaszpg Agreed! Do do come over as one.
So tearing the nose gear off the Falcon was just a test?
The RyanAir startup reminded me of almost every L-1011 startup I ever saw. "I love the smell of kerosene in the morning. Smells like...victory!"
Yeah! Those could weather enriched starts were always fun. EXATAGUY. I enjoyed your comment.
I was gunna say, looks more like a new engine startup...
My parents live in the south of France, their neighbour Philip is a test pilot for Airbus, a very nice down to earth guy who does crazy stuff in the A380 wearing his orange jumpsuit and parachute!
@I I When your working life is absolute life or death. Worrying about the toaster burning the bread probably doesn't even raise your heart rate 1 beat per minute! 🤣🤣
@I I 😂
The A 380 was a demo flight on an airshow. Looks great!
The Ryanair with the smokey startup probably got a new engine. The first start can be pretty smokey as residues of oil and so on are burning up. Nothing dangerous but it looks impressive.
is that something that can be done overnight?
A bit like a new toaster?
@Phillip Banes Wow, cool. Didn't know that it could be done so quick (i.e. 1 day)
Can confirm that no engines were changed that during that night before, just a looong stay on the cold ramp.
This is likely just condensing water vapor. Burning fuel not only generates CO2, but also lots of H2O. And on a cold Finnish winter morning, that H2O turns into clouds.
I used to see that A380 test plane flying very low and slow over Lourdes and Tarbes in France..I can't believe its going out of production
I love the format of your videos. Thank you for posting them ☺️☺️☺️
If I look out the window and see hydraulic fluid leaking like that I will immediately get a heart attack!
If it happens at final approach I wouldn't be as scared. At 38,000 feet then that's a heart attack
@@kevinriddell2105 and what would be your reasoning for that? (a plane has three independent circuits. landing is the "scariest" part, since that's where most accidents happen. a plane won't fall out the sky just because it loses some hydraulic fluid. even when you lose control over control surfaces, a plane can still "steer" with help of the engines [power up/down will affect angle of attack and left/right is kinda self-explanatory])
Isn't that redundant? Not sure how the 737 works but should be, right?
I hope it's both by wire and hydraulic. Otherwise those people are so damn lucky
@@LuLeBe It's *very* redundant. 2 main hydraulic systems (Called A & B), each powered by two independantly powered pumps (one electric, one engine driven per system for a total of four), as well as a standby pump and system, not to mention that the 737 is one of the last holdouts in terms of directly linking the control columns to the actual primary flight controls - failure of all hydraulics thus still allows manual reversion (ie. good old muscle power) to fly the aircraft because they are linked by physical cables - it's a real workout, but it's entirely flyable with only the rudder being powered by the standby system.
Losing all the fluid from this flight spoiler means loss of fluid from one system only. Each hydraulic system powers 2 flight spoilers per wing - I can't off the top of my head remember which system powers this particular spoiler, but the flight controls will still all be fully powered by the remaining system.
impressive as always, thanks a lot ! 🙂
This is awesome!
Great as usual, thanks! 👍
Wow what an amazing clip! Nice video! Great channel!!! 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for the video
Another good one
Thank you for the 3 minutes

yes. you even start learning how to land by doing touch and goes* over and over again.

Was the pilot in the first segment a teller in their last job? Cause they were banking hard!
🤦🏼♂️ Dad joke award! 😄🏆
Boo that man! Boooo!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hung around in pool halls.
The A380 was landing downwind too, nice.
Excellent video!😸
That RyanAir engine start... Wow!
A little bit farty.
As a person who works at a cold airport, that's every airplane when it's below about 10 degrees fun.
I've learned, that a simple "Bank Angle Check" would do the job!
Jet2 was coming in hot. At least it looked like it was going faster than it should.
It was a 'touch and go' training exercise, according to what others have said here.
that ryan air aircraft was just showing its thrust ablities to travellers
back to back hearts from 3 minutes of aviation
You are best !
0:50 Better call the Ice Road Truckers!
2:00 (RyanAir pilot): "Watch this, I'm coaling just like my diesel pickup!"
A380 looking good, doing what airplanes and tires (upon landing) do.
Awesome 3 minutes!
I was wondering what Matt's Off Road Recovery would do with that Falcon, how would he decide where to tie his kinetic ropes on, and then the thing broke. "Matt would have waited for an engineer to tell him where to connect!" I said to myself.
Matt usually knows enough where the center of gravity is. even if the wheel is stuck, once it becomes unstuck the majority of the force is moving the vehichle mass, not the vehichle wheel.
@Matt's off runway recovery
Matt would found a few rocks to make a ramp to get the tires out of the mud and onto the tarmac.
The smokey startup reminded me of a Vauxhall Cavalier with knackered valve stem oil seals 😁
Its a miracle any Boeing 737 Max can start at all !!
The tug strap was fastened to low to the Falcon 900 nose gear. It should have been attached as high as possible to reduce torqueing and failure of it's nose gear.
You want to pull from closest to where it’s stuck. In this case the tires are stuck in the mud so you want to pull from closest to the mud. If you were on a dry surface, you’d be right.
@@stevenbeach748 wouldnt tugging from both high and low points be preferred then?
@@stevenbeach748 nope. In cases like this, you put straps on the main gears, not the nose gear. But if u were stupid enough to do it with the nose gear, you do it as high up as possible, so it doesn’t snap as easy.
@@Overdrive1587 you are supposed to do it by the mains. Not the nose.
Thanks ))
Your channel is too good. It doesn't need to have click-bait titles. 😆🤣👍
splendid
1:01 Insurance: You did what???
First one just looks like a normal landing. Just an innocent landing.
Flown by just normal men, we're just innocent men.....
Just use some duct tape on that falcon 900, it'll be fine
Without nerdy UK plane spotters this channel wouldn't exist !
1:50 I thought Ryanair don't use MAX 8s, instead they have their own variant called the MAX 8200 with stairs up to the plane (like in the 737-200) and another door at the back
And in additional 482 seats.
0:30 PQP, MAS É LINDO DEMAIS!!!!!!!!!
Woo Ryanair makes it onto the channel! 😅😅
I'm not surprised with the 737 max
You DON'T owe us 3 Minutes and 3 Seconds of content for this video.
# 3 is rolling along about 150 mph:
"No problem, that's not fuel you see pouring out of the wing,"
Just brake fluid...
Dude I was litterally at Pensacola airport yesterday, INFACT my flight had a REJECTED TAKEOFF due to a emergency exit light on
They don’t reject a take off for a light.
When you make your videos, do you have to ask the clip owner for permission first or can you use the clips simply with crediting?
I don't think the nose gear on that Falcon 900 is designed to have those kinds of forces applied to it. Perhaps a better tow point and some ground preparation would have been a better strategy.
yeah, who decided that was a good idea?
Definitely. Poor nose gear didn't stand a chance with the mains so bogged down...
Costly error. I wonder who paid the cost of the nose gear? Perhaps both sides gave a little considering damages suffered by the airport too.
In situations like this, you are supposed to pull the mains, not the nose.
That a380 landing looks more like a typical PTFS public server landing heh
A380's wings are so large and thick, they always look like they could fall off the plane!
A380’s max bank angle is 67 degrees.
under normal conditions yes. In direct law you could attempt a barrel roll if your balls are big enough.
A380 video....JERRY YOU BLEW THE SHOT!! You missed the best part of that turn, because of the building 🤦♂️
Last clip needs boing .... boing sound for the bounces.
Airbus plays Boing ;)
Question: the plane like the Falcon can be repaired or is total lost?? Nice video👍
given enough time and money anything can be repaired. It's just a matter of it would be cheaper to buy one of equal value.
Just like with an ordinary passenger car, the responsible insurance company decides whether the loss is total. If the airframe and engines are low time, and everything else is first class, then it's worth the considerable expense. Likely to end up in law court(s) to rule who is to blame and in more courts to make that party's insurance pay. The lawyers and the A&P mechanics will both get plenty on this one if it's not totaled.
@@Thankz4sharing thanks for yours response 🙏✌️
The nose gear collapsed. I'm sure it will be repaired. There will be some structural work, but it's probably not as bad as it looked.
That a380 was scary as stall
If it exceeds the maximum bank angle, does it not technically not exceed the maximum bank angle? since the maximum bank angle is more than what was theoretically estimated before?
I LIKE WATCHING THESE VIDEOS AT 2X SPEED THANKS
why?
bro has only 1 minute and 30 seconds to spare
True, less waisted time. Nothing really spectacular happens. Only daily little usual irregularities in air traffic.
The challenge faced by this channel was "Everyone has 3 minutes to spare" - and it certainly worked for me, regardless of the # of notifications, I always do 3 minutes first. Going for known quantity, but unpredictable/unknown quality.
How do you know there was a bank angle exceedance?
I owe you 3 seconds this time
So what is the "maximum" bank angle of an A380? Anyway, the airplane's systems don't allow it to bank beyond a certain angle
You can override bank angle limits by switching into different control law modes.
I would assume that's only in AutoPilot mode 👍
@@nickthechicken11 The A380 (and all other airbus aircraft) air fly-by-wire. The aircraft will not allow itself to exceed 45 degrees of bank in normal operation even if the pilot holds the controls tick at the maximum angle. It also prevents exceeding the critical angle of attack regardless of power setting and will not allow the aircraft to overspeed.
@@MillionFoul Did not know that. Thanks 👍
@@gcorriveau6864 cynical
(1:14) Trying to hold it in until you can make it to a restroom is always a gamble, and when you make that bet and commit to it you've got to assume the consequences if you lose.
I'm sure they have their reasons/know better, but I'm a bit surprised that the hydraulic failure didn't trigger a go-around to at least investigate the issue/run checklists.
If the aircraft is continuing to perform OK then there would be no need. In fact, it could be more dangerous to go around as you may have an increasing number of issues as the hydraulic pressure drops.
Yoooooo Ryanair best airline 1:57
Just what I want, to get on a Ryanair 737 MAX *after* it had technical problems!
Imagine the thermal shock starting up a frozen engine , I think I'll stick to the tropics thanks 🏖
Happens every day.
BANK ANGLE, BANK ANGLE, BANK ANGLE! 😂
Gross negligence on the Falcon recovery.
thats completely messed up on so many levels - where were the spotters? was the MLG dug our of the mud first, and mats/boards placed down?
For sure. It takes a special kind of stupid and lack of common sense to hook a chain to just the nose gear. These would be the same people who try pulling something with their car bumper.
That needed to be lifted before pulling.
I'm a technical dimwit, but even I could see that you can't just pull on something without some corresponding lift and push from the rear.
Hopefully, people will be fired.
@Junior where did this occur?
Pilot left the 737 Max's contrail switch on during engine start 🤣
Some conspiracy theory minded people would say the "cloud seeding" switch...
I love planes but I have little knowledge of them. So, question to the ones who do: What caused the smoke on the start up in the engine of the RYANAIR?
couple reasons but either Incomplete fuel combustion / oil burning off or water vapour
'Roughly' three minutes of aviation
They are flight simulators, but look so real, thank you😂
How much would it cost you to do a voice over?
A380 has at least 3 modes:
Normal
Technician
Acrobatic
You really just made up those terms last two, didn't you? Try "normal, alternate, and direct.' ;-)
@@gcorriveau6864 👍
That last one was a go around because after the second bounce and still at such high speeds, pilots knew not enough runway was left to safely land… ????
Ryanair Max 8: Smokey engine cold start...
Also, Ryanair Max 8: But wait, there's more...
The recovery of that Falcon 900 was hard to watch.

First clip is me on Flight Simulator. But you don't want to see the landing.
I've never been on an airplane before
#2: Joe Patroni never would have allowed that to happen.
Mel Bakersfeld: Joe, this is Mel. There's no more time. Stop all engines and get out. Repeat. Stop all engines.
Cockpit qualified young man: Mr. Patroni, she won't take much more.
Joe Patroni: Well anyway, she's gonna get it.
Mel Bakersfeld: Joe, the plows are moving. Shut down and hold on! Joe Patroni! Do you read me?
Acknowledge!
Mel Bakersfeld: Joe! Shut down!
Cockpit qualified young man: Mr. Patroni? Don't you hear him? Shut down.
Joe Patroni: I can't hear a thing. There's too much noise. Hold on. We're GOIN FOR BROKE!
Cockpit qualified young man: [after the plane gets out of the ditch] The instruction book said that was impossible.
Joe Patroni: That's one nice thing about the 707. It can do everything BUT read.

The only thing was missing , was the Bank angle itself in video !!!! , you cut it out !
Must take some force to rip the nosewheel off a Falcon!
Please switch to darker backgrounds it’s a flash bang every video lmao
Should have parked a couple of kerosene turbine heaters in front of the intakes of the RyanAir 737 before attempting to power up.
2:44 It did a boing-boing because it thought it was a Boeing...
Did that A380 pilot know what they were doing the whole time?
Yeah, they are called Test Pilots and this was a test.
Nope, the pilot thought he was test driving a Hummer.
The Falcon 900's botched recovery was most likely due to those rich Aspen folks yelling at the airport to open the runway. That's the airport's only runway and impatient rich people have no time nor capacity to understand runway safety areas (RSAs) and proper aircraft recovery procedures.
Bang Kangle?! I hardly know her!
Okay Mr. 3 Minutes of Aviation …. why don’t you tell the rest of us what the maximum bank angle is supposed to be and what his bank angle actually was. I assume you were on the flight deck at the time, right?
That falcon 9 maybe a directly written off after that collapse.
Edit: falcon 900
Falcon 9 ? Like the spaceX rocket ? What are you on about
1:02 - 1:05 - I hope the plane “WAS ALREADY DAMAGED” *oof*

Looks close to crash to me, full right aileron and the A380 continues to bank yikes!
Ryanair jets powered by Perkins diesel engines nowadays😳😳
I bet the Ryanair just got out of an overhaul
Yes it did. That engine just burned off some excess oil the engine parts had.
