It’s so creepy 😮
They can do all sorts with your biometrics in the future….🤔
looks like i won't be going to Portugal then.
Same here Cyprus is not doing this yet .
Why ?im portuguese we welcome the civilized nationalities.....
For me, my body my genetics not to be Hacked. Am not cattle, but a human being. This smacks of Fascism?
Cyprus is not Schengen, and it's the UK you won't be leaving - not for any Schengen EU country anyway, Portugal is not alone - this is required by all UK passport holders when leaving and entering the UK to and from Europe, so far as I am aware.
That's exactly what they want, nobody travelling.
Just say no to the beast system
This is the beast system being set up
The Portuguese already have digital IDs including drivers licence all on iPhones
Sure is !
See, you guys though it was going to paradise in Portugal. Being under the EUs orders, Portugal will be one of the first and more heavy handed in implementing the elite's agendas.
That’s Portugal off my holiday list.
I've lived in 🇵🇹 for 23 years. I said NO to tests and jabs and didn't travel. I won't comply with this new idea either.
100 percent agree, me too
I’m Portuguese and have digital ID and drivers licence. So if the locals have it why not foreigners
@@j0s3mar9ues….It’s a violation of our privacy….besides you need us we don’t need you!

Why are people just saying NO I DO NOT COMPLY?
Same as 2020
Stockholm syndrome
Because most people are brainless sheep
You don’t need one of your an illegal immigrant, what a joke
I’ve been looking at this and the thrust towards digital currency for a few years and have become very concerned. I think it’s much bigger than simply illegal immigration (it will have minimal impact on illegal entry into the country and more so on those of us who follow the law, in my opinion). The initial disruption is tolerable whilst the systems are set up, compared to what happens beyond that and sadly, a lot of people I know are burying their heads as to the potential dystopia ahead. The boiling frog syndrome. In defence of the Portuguese government, I believe this decision is out of their hands. We’ll still move towards emigration from the UK, but sadly I feel the Schengen area and the UK have some very tough times ahead.
at my SEF meeting in 2022 my biometrics and fingerprints were taken...once upon a time I was a flight attendant after 911 had our retina scanned..with every declared emergency we lose more privacy rights..it took a year for my first permit under SEF regime..took less than one month for my renewal under AIMA
This is the first step to digital ID for people ,comply to this it will never end jab passports next and the list will go on,if everybody stood together and didn’t go on holiday they would end it ,but that won’t happen people still wearing masks, and the old saying I only took it so I could go on holiday.
I live in Madeira and have for 25 years. I do frequent trips to uk last couple of years and the airport here has undergone some big changes with all the new equipment needed to conduct the digital ID process. How it will cope when it can’t deal with flight delays on a normal quiet day. It will affect our Brit tourism with more queues and beurocratical crap. I hate flying since I am still waiting for my own residency paperwork to get updated as I have been waiting over 3 years to get an appointment. I have to carry an outdated QR code so hold up the queue at passport control at both ends as they have to manually do their checks. With the growing number of cyber attacks, frailty of a digital and internet based system what happens when it gets interrupted or when it all goes down? I grew up in the 70’s and don’t remember anything being as complicated as it is now. It’s all going to shit and designed to put us off traveling anyway. Go look up jet zero and what this will lead to!
That is why I stopped flying altogether some years ago .
Absolutely agree re: the red tape and bureaucracy everywhere .. not just in Portugal. Whole industries of pillage and plunder have sprouted up out of nowhere ie: Immigration Agencies are booming just to address something as simple as visiting another country or bringing a spouse or family member to live with you in your own nation. Not only has the complexity of these processes increased, but so to have the associated government fees For instance, it costs $9000 just to apply for a marriage visa for your overseas born spouse in Australia. It's clear that these systems were designed to rort, separate and discriminate against the less well off peasants amongst us.. $9000 is an outrageous government fee. You are also advised by the government immigration website to hire an immigration agency to handle the visa application, which can cost up to $4500-$5000+ in Australia. So total cost of merely applying for an off-shore marriage visa in Australia is over $14,000. I get the feeling that our governments don't want us to travel anymore unless you enter illegally or claim refugee status.
Neo liberalism promised to cut the "red tape" however the only "red tape" that they cut were the systems of checks and balances that we had in place for controlling out of control politicians, globalists and corporatists. The "red tape" that "burdens the everyday people" was kept and in many cases was increased in size, cost and complexity. Governments and their bureaucrats should be "helping" citizens to achieve their goals (that's what we pay them for), not hindering us or requiring them to hire specialised services (at a vast cost that many simply cannot afford to pay) just to interpret the complex documentation and lodge an application.
I´ve never witnessed so many Brits in Portugal than I do these days. Curious how things can change so fast since it´s not been 10 years since I last left the UK and it was just an incredible place to live with a lot of pros and few (if any ) of the cons which exist in Portugal. As welcome here as I was for all the years I lived/worked over there btw ...
The problem is that anyone could potentially be labeled a criminal, even after they get a digital ID.
We travel through Spain into Portugal for a holiday most years barring times of ‘Covid’ ! We are now seriously thinking of not bothering next year, which is a shame for the villa owner and also local economy.
They say, "control of access". But, it was not passport and Identity documents and driving licenses for that purpose already? And what was fingerprints if not "biometric data"? Why the state "needs" more and more redundant data, data they already have?
Because redundant information is about verifiable way of checking The Information.
Because with any form of control there’s a counter reaction to bypassing it.
*Deterence*
Wonder if a schema of swift deportation to Rwanda could be implemented as soon as they land on airport for 3rd party country people illegal entry (post-brexit UK is now 3rd party) country 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not sure why you're making it sound like a Portuguese issue - all UK passport holders must use the biometric ID card when leaving and entering the UK to and from any Schengen country in the EU.
No consent, no contract. And don’t answer questions
My passport is digital, I think that's enough really
I've already got 20 digits. My 10 toes and my 10 fingers.
I guess, as a Brit, its going to be impossible to travel into the EU without all of this nonsense, We will avoid it this coming trip as we cross into France a couple of weeks before it starts and will already be in Portugal by the time it is implemented.
I've just gave up of traveling to U.K. and I work for a British multinational company... I don't have a passport, i'm not willing to waste 100€ to get it and i ate traveling.
good job I'm not daft enough to have a smartphone anymore, they are not homing in on me💥
Hope this crashes badly- I don’t concent to giving away my fingerprints for free - next they’ll want my dna! 😬
This is not a portuguese question. This is due to the implementation of the EES. 10 November is the date of implementation and will be in all Europe.
Apart from a few Cyprus been one of them
OK Can a Person move inside the Schengen Area without Digital ID For example from Ireland to Portugal
No, you'll need to get your own country's digital ID which will work anywhere in Schengen
Schengen is a people and goods free circulation area, there are no borders, therefore, no digital ID check.
If you don't have a UK passport - I mean if you have a Schengen country passport you are free to travel. It's just the Brexit deal with added security (more spying and making travel awkward - they will probably carbon tax us to death if we move about 'too much').
Top, dank je wel 👍🏻
Interesting video, thanks. It might be worth noting that like NI, Gibraltar is not part of GB. Unlike NI it is not part of the UK.

The Portuguese sheep are being fenced in.
Citizens outside the Schengen area, but what about Irish and Cypriot citizens? They are EU but not in Schengen.
It's probably for ALL non-Schengen countries 😉
@@sammy2tyres l thought they would be included. Irish and Cyprus citizens don’t need the electronic travel authorization to enter mainland Europe, so that is a good thing.
Well here's a dumb ass question, what does this digital thing look like, what does it do and where does anybody get one or is one expected to carry their life history on them

“There is, in the westernmost part of Iberia, a very odd people: they refuse to govern themselves and they refuse to be governed!”
The quote is sometimes attributed to “a Roman general” from the 3rd century B.C., sometimes to Julius Caesar.
It's not for illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is for this.
Ok... I suppose that the NGO's will control the digital ID's of those arriving at the Spanish islands😂
So your digital ID can be scammed, coded, and inserted for other than obvious situations. Good luck having your lives draped along He said She said nonsense.
I think the whole biometric I.D. thing is destined to cause some kind of bureaucratic paralysis. Portugal will be the first crumble as they are away with the fairies most of the time. We have been toying with the idea of moving to Portugal because of the poor living standards in the UK.
Living standards are worse in Pt, housing is through the roof expensive if you don’t want to live in the back of beyond.
Red tape in Portugal except the Nazi pass during covid. For a country with poor infrastructure, awful bureaucracy somehow managed the covid pass without issue. The Portuguese bent over in style.
I do not understand the shock horror element of this. Most countries collect biometric data nowadays. The U.S does, Canada does, China does, Malaysia does, even Thailand does. It is pretty much inescapable these days. To the extent that it causes delays, I agree it is a bad thing. However, it hardly seems justified to moan about Portugal and the rest of the EU implementing a system (for non citizens) which so many other nations already have in place. As I pointed out previously, quite a number of illegal migrants fly to their country of choice and then overstay. It may have some impact on that if they have to give biometrics at some future date and can be picked up as a result. Not that anything would probably be done regarding expulsions. That basically never happens.
👍
Tracking people overstaying their allowed tourist visa can be difficult (even if Portugal is not that big land country), but yeah, more police random checks but not only for “brown people” but also for “white people” as they could catch on the net english, russians, albanians, …

Like it, or not, the whole world is movin in that direction; also UK is taking such measures, look for "uk-to-replace-egates-with-facial-recognition-technology-at-airports". Don't like it? Stay at home.
There,s always one.
Make it two
And you can add me , that makes three .
I'm four.
I was asking a regular flyer who lives in France about the new measures, Were they 'measured' already? What did it entail etc? and they said all the extra regs make them feel safer in an unsafe world.
They were pleased with all the extra safety measure after 9 II and Co4id checks and Ji66y Ja6s, and see nothing to worry over with the digital ID when that arrives. Only Conspiracy bods would get their Knickers in a twist over safety measures!
On the other hand, during one of the many many C4id checks, one of them did have an incident where there was a lot of pain on being roughly swabbed, quickly followed by copious clear fluid leaking from their nose for the next few hours. Maybe it did more damage than they want to imagine?🤯
Feels like everyone is now seen as a potential crim, yet the only people who won't need ID are the crims who bypass such checking.
I feel sure this is something we have fought against for years, only allowing for the personal Data, finger prints etc, of convicted Crims to be held? It's creepy.
Once again leadership tells we need to do stuff to keep us safe, else probly, we are all going to d!3. Given we are all going to d!3 one day, I don't see how giving away our biometrics will help? Better we have a word with the grim reaper or the nice fellah upstairs?
