He wasn't there for all three of them all of the time with every little thing they needed, but no father ever is. He was always there when it mattered the most. He provided them with all the basic necessities children need, did his best to always make things fun for them, showed up to all their really important events and showed great support in all the things that matter the most. So yes, he was a great dad. About as perfect as anyone could ever hope for. Just because he stumbles and makes mistakes along the way, that doesn't erase that fact. It just makes him human. Some episodes, he was off his game, others he was on point. On the whole, he was a solid 9/10 TV dad.
