1:54:45 Also Noelle's room is made based on her search history, so that means she keeps googling "December Holiday" trying to find something about her sister but only finds stuff about Xmas
So maybe it isn't that she died but rather that she disappeared? It's even implied that something happened in whatever is behind the mysterious door in the southern area of the town.
@@snakesbakecookies no? Like I'm not sure where you're getting this but genocide is by far the longest, it only feels as short as it does in youtube videos because they cut put all the neccessary grinding and deaths from undyne or sans. Part of the impact of the genocide route is just how painfully slow everything is, letting it hit you more and more how much it is your decision to keep going.
@@iguessmynamesriya7658 I’m referring to the act of first trying every boss and playing fast and all pro leik lol. Genocide is actually really quick if you know the frisk wall walk strategy and get the better weapons earlier, for example toy knife in the ruins. The thing about Potassium is probably due to Potassium being an element used in potassium-ion batteries as well as alkaline batteries (as potassium hydroxide) and bananas are rich in potassium, so it makes sense for Queen to think that potassium deficiency = death
@@evervirescent It was Toriel worrying about Kris and trying to find out why they might be yellow, and ending up searching a lot about bananas since they're both yellow.
The reason why Kris tea tastes like apple juice to Susie is because Kris uses an apple scented shampoo, if you talk to Susie in the puzzle room where you are required to spell "apple" she mentions that Kris smells like apples which makes it difficult for her not to wanna take a bite or something like that
My favorite moment from my playthrough was me forgetting how to sprint in the dark world and Susie politely telling me that i can. She says something like “I know you’re feeling nostalgic kris but…did you forget how to run?”
It would be one of those videos that you don't see completely at first, but one of those in which you enter randomly when you have nothing better to do
I believe the Shadow Crystal is some sort of crystal that a darkner can use to see the world they’re truly in rather than their Dark World. Jevil had one, and he saw toys strewn on the floor because he was in the closet. Spamton had one, he realised he was in the old outdated computer room and realised he was stuck in that world and went insane. I believe this will be the continuous theme in Deltarune and might have a confirmation in later chapters.
I have been thinking about that. Or the concept of it. If the crystals are windows, so to speak, and in the weird route we see that more correctly it not Kris but some force (player, 3rd party the player represents), watching and controlling. Watching can mean monitor. Monitors of late are LCD, liquid 'crystal' displays. Likely a large strech. But so far the 2 worlds we've been in have been ones that can be interacted through screens games and the internet. With the next possible area to be TV themed...
Just like to say I really enjoy these videos, but nearly 6 hours? That blows my mind that you made this much content on the subject of only easter eggs, secrets, references, etc. in ONE chapter of Deltarune
I feel like the beads in the hospital imply that even with something as drastic as the Weird Route, the story remains unchanged. Berdly isn't following it anymore, but everyone else is still doing exactly what they need to do.
@@michaellatner975 Yeah, it's officially referred to as the Weird Route by Toby and that's what I meant with the story being unchanged. Berdly isn't on track anymore, but everyone else still is.
yeah, I am really looking towards ch 3. I think that undine might show up cause toriel called the cops before kris opened the fountain. And I wonder who kris will "proceed" with... heheheh
i just realized. a ship for guards 01 and 02 could be called 03. probably not very funny at all. just thought it's funny, but considering how bad my sense of humor is, to the point of laughing at dark humor, this joke probably sucks worse than sans's.
I hope we get more and more Raggers throughout the whole game until we get the Ragger 7, which just removes Ralsei’s healing and makes him hit harder than Susie
Ralsei in the beginning: hello, Kris, we should be friends! let me heal you while you learn how to fight! Ralsei at the end: (brings out a boltrifle and a chainsword with DOOM music in the background) God has not had mercy for His enemies and so shan't I
You know what the best part is? I've seen all of these videos, and despite that, in my own secret hunting streams I've found so much more content that these don't even cover. It's insane how much content Toby puts into these games.
It’s real cool that people are finding things this far after the release date, such as your nutcracker thing and the secret plug citizen in the Cyber Field Makes me want to see how the next few chapters are gonna be even more, how much love will be put into every tiny possible interaction
@@Game_Byle well, he... changed it to an addison it's more fitting that way, because... y'know.. addisons advertise but his animation channel TheAdimator still has it as Papyrus
Never really realized how densely packed Deltarune is till I saw the like 6 hour collection of EVERY VIDEO ON DELTARUNE. Honestly incredible work holding on to the sanity needed to even compile all of this information, no matter how obscure.
Upon re-watching this after the Spamton Sweepstakes, I really love the fact that they tied in how Noelle clicked on a link for "Creepy Game Glitches", referencing the secret Noelle blog. The fact that Toby had that in mind and set that up so far in advance is amazing.
I can confirm that the “sans” textbox sound effect popping up on the word puzzle is a thing. I got the sound of it on my first playthrough and thought I was going nuts or something. Another thing is, those magic glass platforms exist in Undertale as well, in Hotland when doing the steam valve puzzle with the conveyor belt at the bottom, if you go left when you’re about to leave the belt, they appear for some reason. They also appear when you go to the area with the secret boss.
If I'm not mistaken the glass tiles was used for the God awful character that is So Sorry. Toby really tried to hide it but it was requested by a very financially influential Kickstart backer
He mentions that the Queen uses the terms “it” to refer to the knight instead of “them” and I have a theory that it may actually supposed to be our vessel instead of kris. The reason is because at the beginning the narrator voice describes the vessel as an “it” despite multiple branches of dialogue about the vessel being the same as us (shaping the mind as our own or haveing the same name) in my opinion it’s seemingly odd how the vessel is the only other character who is referred to as an “it” when it would make sense to say “them” I think the narrator text even says “them” once but all the other times says “it” it’s kinda strange
My theory is that “Knight” is just a title for someone who opens a dark fountain kinda like “president” because the Queen says that she can create new knights
I didn’t see it mentioned, but Noelle is referred to as an “angel” several times by Spamton. In Undertale, Gerson tells us about how the prophecy mentioned an angel from the surface (possibly just meaning from a different world, surface = Light World) who frees everyone from being trapped underground. Within Undertale, this is interpreted to mean either that the angel is Frisk and they free the monsters by destroying the barrier (in a pacifist run) or that they free the monsters by killing them (genocide run). Noelle being explicitly called an angel by Spamton has some interest implications because of Spamton’s connection to Jevil and that whole theme of chaos, timeline divergence, even the title SnowGrave being an anagram for WrongSave. There’s definitely something more there.
uhh noelle's referred to as Angel by the addison who sells you the ring, i'm pretty sure. also spamton uses [[Angel]] aka with square brackets, which is usually speculated to be a clip of someone else saying that.
@@generallyunimportant i didn’t even think about that, maybe Mike is more important than we thought. it’s already speculated that he’ll be the third secret boss, but maybe if you did a snowgrave route in ch 2 you’ll get more information about Noelle and this angel thing. my best guess is it will be a continuation and commentary on the manipulation themes, of the player manipulating Kris who manipulates Noelle, who isn’t aware of the player. this is all assuming that Spamton’s bracketed text is actually Mike, but maybe it’s a different character we haven’t met yet, or a character we know about but don’t have all the information about. i’m inclined to believe it’s Mike though because i believe it’s hinted at in Spamton’s dialogue
I was replaying the game today and during the scene where noelle and susie are on the ferris wheel, noelle says that she would jump out the window and grow "angel wings" because it's a dream
Here’s a tip for when you eventually cover Waterfall in your geggs for Undertale. The sound of Shyren singing is actually lifted directly from Earthbound. There’s a character called Venus, and at one point you hear her sing. The sound of her singing is the same as Shyren singing. Edit: Just noticed this too. In the cliff area before you fight Giygas in Earthbound there’s a sound that plays recurrently in the music. That sound is used in Here We Are, the sound that plays in the True Lab. Edit #2: Just noticed this too. In the background of Napstablooks battle theme you can here very faintly only with headphones in your right ear the song that plays when you name your characters in Earthbound.
I love the detail that its “Kris called for help… nobody came” When you call susie/Ralsei but when you whisper noelle its “*YOU* whispered noelle’s name” And the damage done at the end to spamton might be an error but the damage is blue meaning kris did the damage OR we have full control over noelle thats why its blue
I'm not sure if you got this one, but the enemies running away from you in snowgrave is a reference to Earthbound, where enemies run away from you after you reach a certain level
The first time I saw the "Captive Audience" line from Sans, my immediate thought was the connection to the Human Souls in Undertale, and how both the flowers and the Souls were trapped in containers...
TIL trousle means "Worried." The Worry of Bones. "The Trousle of bones can be heard from further away." Could this mean that Papyrus' worries are getting further and further away? Or does it mean that Papyrus himself is getting further and further away? There's so many ways to interpret this.
Reorganizing certain details, like updates to previous videos, so they play out in the right order is such a nice touch. I can't imagine how much editing that took
And (I’m pretty sure, don’t quote me tho) he overdubs any accidental misgendering of Kris. He does mention in a pinned comment of one of these videos that he accidentally used he/him pronouns for Kris and I don’t see him misgendering Kris at all here. :)
1:15:08 This is also likely a reference to the ”Happy99” computer worm, short for “Happy new year 1999” which was, quoting the Wikipedia page, “generally considered the first virus to propagate(spread) by email” .
The creepy face that has the same colored eyes as Spamton is called "friend" in the files because he talks about him and Kris being friends. Not needing anyone else.
Interesting little detail about the egg rooms( especially the one in chapter 2) is the tree appearing in a dark void. The way to get to those rooms (spamming going between two specific rooms) seems to be a reference to people breaking games and getting into unexpected, out of bounds areas not meant to be reached. Also of note is that, at 2:35:22 , Ralsei seems to literally go out of bounds in a similar way to let Susie pass. Dunno if it's just a random thing for the cutscene or if Toby is playing around with the idea of what it means for Deltarune to be a video game in the context of its narrative, similarly with how, in Undertale, saving, loading and resetting save files was both a game function but also something baked into the narrative of the game, being represented in Sans' and Flowey's explanations during their fights as controlling the timeline. Toby is already doing it in Deltarune with the idea of us controlling Kris; what if it was expanded to more video game phenomena that are 99% of the time not considered as part of the story but merely mechanics?
Huh. So Nubert was actually kinda in chapter one. Here I was, thinking that Nubert was simply a reference to nub mice. Y'know, those things that you sometimes get in Lenovo ThinkPad keyboards. The red rubbery-ish one that moves the cursor when you wiggle it a bit.
Another interesting thing is that I think this game gives an interesting connection between Gerson and Gaster: in UT, when Gaster fell into his creation, his duty as royal scientist was filled in by Alphys. now, in DR, when Gerson died, his duty as a teacher was filled in by Alphys as well. Edit: Like a [totally well-adjusted human being], I did watch this all in one sitting.
Sometimes I think about how in the Berdly fight it says "smells like frozen chicken" and die a little at that Snowgrave references just casually existing
3:00:36 the term "spaghetti code" does not originate from TF2, it's a general term for messy/inorganized/bad coding that programmers use. It's unclear where it originates from, but it's known to have been used as early as 1977, which is way, WAY before Team Fortress 2 (or Team Fortress Classic!) was even a thing.
“A captive audience” seems to tie in with the general theme of puppetry/control. The beginning of the game all but refers to Kris as a “vessel” for the player. Literally speaking, a vessel would be some kind of vehicle or transport that a person is controlling from inside - steering or operating something bigger than a person. Symbolically, it is not unlike the concept of puppetry, the only difference being that the control is external - a person manipulates the strings or the jaws of a much smaller puppet. One could see a person as no more than a vessel or a puppet. This can range in severity. It could be a misplaced desire to protect someone by forcing them (physically or emotionally) to behave or look a certain way. Sometimes it’s well-intended and with minimal injury. Sometimes it isn’t. The way Kris moves during THOSE SCENES at home is very reminiscent or a puppet, unstable and being lurched around by something bigger than it. The player/Soul is held captive during those scenes. It’s interesting that the player has been controlling Kris’ every move and word, las though some unseen force is steering his body - like a vessel - but the player’s control is ripped out from within Kris by what LOOKS like external, puppet-like possession. The question is, who is really the “captive audience”? We do have the imagery of the Soul, controlled by the player, shut in a cage, a cupboard, and sofa cushions. But who is shutting away the Soul? Is it a malevolent force? Is it Kris? Are they one in the same - or are we, the player, the ones keeping Kris captive to the game, while we decide his actions and words against his will? Is what appears to be so frightening and external actually a rightful reclaiming of the body the player took? Or is controlling his body meant to be an evil done for a greater good? Someone’s will is being compromised, but what if the alternative is soullessness? Anyway I just think there’s a lot in that line of Sans’. *drops mic*
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but if you are in the the spamton Neo fight with only one party member alive and try to snap it will say "You snapped desperately" and will snap 2 wires instead of one.
In the Ferris Wheel in the first choice there is an option that says "Point and hearts come out", that's literally what Kris does when ACTing Also Susie si talking about Kris knowing what to do (which is acting (?I think?))
You know it's a Deltarune/Undertale video when a compilation is goddamn 6 hours long. So far, the Chapter 1 compilation is around 2 hours and this is 6 hours. I can't even imagine how long a full 7-chapter Easter Egg video is once the entire game is finished.
Well, to be fair, Toby Fox himself stated that chapter 2 is going to be the longest in the whole game. I suposse next chapters will have lenght that is something between ch 1 and 2.
Something else I noticed was when kris clicked on something it specifically said "you unconsciously clicked" they're the only character that has the word unconscious used for them. Just another sign that they're not in control
This video is my go-to background noise/falling asleep video to put on now. I've watched through this video at least 5 or 6 times now and I love it so much. I can't wait for chapters 3 and 4 (and the inevitable 12 hour compilation video on those two chapters from you :p)
3:25:00 The use of the “it/it’s” pronouns when describing The Knight reminds me of the start of chapter 1, the vessel creation. “How do you feel about your creation? (It will not hear.)” The Vessel is referred to as an “it” and Kris gets selected as the vessel for the player when the original vessel is discarded. Then we see Kris stabbing the ground and opening a fountain, just like what Queen describes the Knight did at the library to create the Cyber world.
2:20:20 the face that pops up looks like flowey's face on the tv at the flowey boss fight. and its file name is _friend = your best friend, flowey's song in the soundtrack. also reminiscent of how flowey randomly pops up as you advance through undertale. i wonder if this exists anywhere else.
I love the idea that there’s something deeper going on with Tasque Manager knowing about and disliking Jevil but I personally want to believe that, in line with the design possibly referencing Franziska von Karma, it’s just some well deserved clown hatred in reference to everyone’s least favourite Ace Attorney case, Turnabout Big Top.
You have no idea of how much you saved me by saying they even if we didn’t defeat Jevil yet we could’ve still taken his thingy I swear to God, I instantly paused the video and went to find Java one more time, did it, and finally got that glowy thing!!! Now I won’t be missing anything in my future play through, thank you so much!
I'm surprised I never see anyone mention how Tasque Manager's connection to Franziska extends to her obsession with order, similar to Franziska's character being based around obsessive "perfection"
The keygen sound is legit used in keygens still. I can confirm this as it's on my keygen for CS6. The keygen actually works. It's fantastic as a reference and I haven't heard that sound in YEARS
I cannot express how much i appreciate this content, its SO nice to just sit down and binge deltarune secrets. The video is such high quality too and it covers basically all of what i was wondering that i missed! Thank you :D keep on doing what you do!
Not only Kris loves chocolate, Chara loves it too. In Undertale genocide route if you inspect the drawer or kitchen I think, there will be a red flavor text saying “No chocolates.” which is Chara talking.
That's one of those things that's like... Is that a direct reference to chara? Or is it just liking chocolate... Which is like a super common thing lmao
@@talb.1805it is. its in red text which is directly associated with chara and its not the only time charas love for chocolate is brought up either. and given how were shown a few times that specifically kris loves chocolate its def intended for us to think of chara
@@talb.1805 i mean if you say so but to me it feels like the game was very deliberatly making a point that chara likes chocolate and at least in deltarune its very clear that kris specifically really likes chocolate i mean beleive whatever u want and ill stick to my stuff im just sayin
@@talb.1805 given kris is extremely similar to chara in looks, personality, AND role within their family, the only real difference being that theyre older, id be willing to bet them both liking chocolate isnt just a coincidence. its hard to tell with toby sometimes, but to me, it just feels deliberate. and obviously so.
2:07:10 Back when chapter 2 had JUST came out for like 10 minutes, in that version of the game the angel spamton didn't exist and the green spark would just instantly heal Kris when touching them, when I was playing chapter 2 immediatelly after it came out I found this out on the first playthrough
Unsure if anyone else has thought about this but theory: kris creating the dark worlds is an escape from their own life. I see the discourse between Toriel and Asgore as divorced parents taking a hard toll on Kris, along with Asriel gone to college. I believe that Kris is just in the background in their family, with toriel being busy (she's just in chapter 2 finding something wrong with her child), asgore not even in their life because of toriel(from the dialogue in the store that they have to talk about asgore even seeing asriel when he comes home.) and Asriel who (in Kris' eyes) would have left them alone in a blissfully ignorance home. It would be a way to deal with their feelings of this all. The room Kris has is their own desires to be like Asriel. To have some form of acomplishment and attention outside of their family. I think that Kris created the first world(where Ralsei lives) as an escape but later became corrupt by those feelings or by someone else (wink wink). Ralsei would be the perfect version of Asriel, with Kris being the protector older sibling to him, like a role reverse. I also kinda see the King and Queen as versions of Asgore and Toriel, being absent and overly protective and speaking for someone respectively. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd, it would be the same or similar to Spamton's story and history where his intentions were to help him get better but later manipulated down a dark path. Jevil's history also fits as well. All three had contact with this "someone" and they ended up corrupting them. (still banking that someone on being gaster. Chapter 2 really set my theory in stone.) Just my theory. I'm open to anyone's ideas or add ons. :)
6:19 Well in Undertale during the Quiz, Alphys says that in Chapter Four of Mew Mew Kissy Cutie, they all go to the beach, i would love that to be Foreshadowing the upcoming Chapter 4
2:08:50 In the Deltarune website, Toby said he left his pillow in a dumpster somewhere, I don't know if that got changed but when chapter 2 was just out it was there
if anyone ever wants to make an obscure internet/gaming little tidbits just hire toby fox because jesus christ the man's a machine. does make this game incredibly fun tho
Just wanted to say how much I appreciate this massive video and all the shorter Deltarune videos that preceded it. At this point, I consider your Undertale/Deltarune videos as essential to the experience as the games themselves. Thanks for the hard work.
Well, there are some strange connections between Spamton and Burgerpants. Both make references to Vacation days and hell. BP "I can't go to hell. I'm all out of vacation days." Spamton "Take a vacation straight to hell!"
Actually, from how much toby puts refrence in the game, people start to think that everything is a refrence Like here 1:33:47 So toby by a complete mistake, he make everyone think that he is more genius than how genius he is
If it hasn’t been mentioned, recruiting everyone but tasque manager will unlock secret dialogue near the great door.(you can interact with the animals and the bloxer)
3:18:45 Ralsei even said that he is from the original fountain which is made of pure darkness (this is also why other darkners can be themselves within it's radious), so he can exist in any dark worlds, while the other darkners are made by the specific fountains and those gave them forms, not allowing them to move to other ones as they don't have a form there.
1:15:51 I wonder if Noelle tripping is more of a funny "haha she's confused about the battle system" or is tripping due to somehow getting shoes put on that cause her to lose her balance (shoe tidbit with Ad-guy).
4:15:07 It seems Seam is aware of the lightner world and other dark worlds. Also, since he has shown to know Jevil, and you hand him all shadow crystals, I wouldn't be surprised if Seam was the chap. 7 secret boss, but only if you bring him 6 shadow crystals
That 'Teabagging' at 3:36:45 is also another reference to punch out, the same motion of Taunt he has on the SNES version of punch out, and another taunt after you lose that's different.
Sadly I did not watch this in one sitting...I think I watched it over 2 weeks? But I just wanted to say I love all your Undertale/Deltarune videos! I only discovered Undertale when the Switch had the holiday sale in the last week of December (2023) so I'm very late to the party. Quickly devoured Undertale and was blown away. Then I quickly devoured Deltarune and now I'm left to devour every single analysis/easter egg video I can get my hands on until Chapter 3!! Thank you for all you do!
1:34:56 Am I the only one who thought that it was just Susie bumping into something and gasping because she was startled? 3:00:51 I know another example of spaghetti code... *Yes-yes, Yandere Simulator, I'm looking at you!*
Can’t actually believe that I watched this entirely in one sitting and never get bored at any moment, my passion for Toby Fox’s games sky rocked And the compilation is great for sure, watching this was awesome :)
1:09:07 No, Kris is Scooby because theyre the main character, Lancer is obviously the leader so he's Fred, Noelle is clearly Velma, Ralsei is Daphne, and Susie is like Kris's best friend so she would be Shaggy.
i would like to confirm that i did in fact watch this whole video in one sitting, and i absolutely loved it. thank you for all the attention to detail that you put into it!
liked the video at 1:04:00 (it’s important to note that kanaya’s main character theme is being motherly, as the hs person with the virgo sign) hacker could be a reference to looker from pokemon!
It occurred to me while watching this latest edition of my favourite Undertale/Deltarune Gaster content, when talking about onion san, and how you’d have to reload to get the interaction again, Deltarune is much nicer to you for reloading your save. Certain characters would have different dialogue like sans or asgore in Undertale
33:45 The "Dojo" in "Party Dojo" is a JoJo reference, the font seems incredibly similar to the one used in JoJo, and the word itself sounds similar, so there are at least two references. Plus "This is the power of [Baker's arms] is reference to Giorno Giovanna, his stand said" This is the power of Gold Experience Requiem" during the end of Part 5.
“Chill”, “Fever”, and “Weird” could be a reference to the different routes you can do, pacifist being chill, fighting everyone being fever, and obviously weird being weird
After many hours of Deltarune I believe that Ice-E and Mike are going to be equal beings. Like They have giant grins, one is a highly powerful in media, and the other is believed to be a tv monster. I think we'll be fighting Ice-E commercials
1:21:15 (timestamp just for context) I actually got an easteregg similar to the "a" in agree2all where its in sans' voice. The first time i tried the puzzle the "s" also got read out in sans' voice. Just something that i wanted to add :)
I have never been so happy when the Osomatsu-san reference is finally being acknowledged, my favorite game series of all time having my most beloved character making a reference to my very first and forever top 1 anime is honestly one of the best things that happened to my life ngl Your videos are really cool btw :DD
I know people think the gaster sounds are coming from the locked door near the forest, but if you go more towards the end on the room the gaster sounds get louder then just standing near the locked door.
Oh its 5 hours... Ok well ima stop at the 1 hour mark. Stopped for today. 1:00:00 for ease of access tomorrow Wow... Slept less than I thought. Anyways, starting at the 1 hour mark again. Stopped at around 1:30:00 1:59:44 Reminds me of Binding of Isaac for some reason I just realized, Undyne has both her eyes in this game. 1:13:51 cat's meows being binary can actually be part of homestuck proud tradition of making barks and meows into the codes, imo. Just that in homestuck they were stand-in for DNA sequences (don't ask, i just remember the point of when it was just revieled and can't remember anything before or after), but here they're translated into binary as more suitable for occasion. Not nessesarily reference, but probably more of an inspiration of concept, even if that was subconcious one.

I wonder if he's going to combine every chapter's "secrets videos" into one.
It'd be a day long, of course. But I'd probably still watch it
One day is underselling it, I’ll say a week at most. And it will be a two-parter
haha, i can say the same but i havent started the video yet
Probably multiple days long

@generallyunimportant 03 already exists, as an unused enemy. But you probably already know that.
I hope we get more and more Raggers throughout the whole game until we get the Ragger 7, which just removes Ralsei’s healing and makes him hit harder than Susie
He one shots the knight
You can make him do more damage than susie using the puppetscarf, though susie does more damage with devilsknife.
Ralsei in the beginning: hello, Kris, we should be friends! let me heal you while you learn how to fight!
Ralsei at the end: (brings out a boltrifle and a chainsword with DOOM music in the background) God has not had mercy for His enemies and so shan't I

Those platforms are only if you go out of bounds if I remember correctly.

The reason is because at the beginning the narrator voice describes the vessel as an “it” despite multiple branches of dialogue about the vessel being the same as us (shaping the mind as our own or haveing the same name) in my opinion it’s seemingly odd how the vessel is the only other character who is referred to as an “it” when it would make sense to say “them” I think the narrator text even says “them” once but all the other times says “it” it’s kinda strange
i was thinking abot that too
My theory is that “Knight” is just a title for someone who opens a dark fountain kinda like “president” because the Queen says that she can create new knights
@@generallyunimportant i didn’t even think about that, maybe Mike is more important than we thought. it’s already speculated that he’ll be the third secret boss, but maybe if you did a snowgrave route in ch 2 you’ll get more information about Noelle and this angel thing. my best guess is it will be a continuation and commentary on the manipulation themes, of the player manipulating Kris who manipulates Noelle, who isn’t aware of the player. this is all assuming that Spamton’s bracketed text is actually Mike, but maybe it’s a different character we haven’t met yet, or a character we know about but don’t have all the information about. i’m inclined to believe it’s Mike though because i believe it’s hinted at in Spamton’s dialogue
maybe she frees everyone.. or she freeze everyone

I love the detail that its
“Kris called for help… nobody came”
When you call susie/Ralsei but when you whisper noelle its
“*YOU* whispered noelle’s name”
And the damage done at the end to spamton might be an error but the damage is blue meaning kris did the damage OR we have full control over noelle thats why its blue
When your game has over 5 hours worth of secrets, you know it's something special.
I'm not sure if you got this one, but the enemies running away from you in snowgrave is a reference to Earthbound, where enemies run away from you after you reach a certain level
yeah lol, just played Earthbound again this Monday
"Enemies running away from you because you're too strong" has been a concept that has existed way before earthbound
The first time I saw the "Captive Audience" line from Sans, my immediate thought was the connection to the Human Souls in Undertale, and how both the flowers and the Souls were trapped in containers...

And (I’m pretty sure, don’t quote me tho) he overdubs any accidental misgendering of Kris. He does mention in a pinned comment of one of these videos that he accidentally used he/him pronouns for Kris and I don’t see him misgendering Kris at all here. :)

This is also likely a reference to the ”Happy99” computer worm, short for “Happy new year 1999” which was, quoting the Wikipedia page, “generally considered the first virus to propagate(spread) by email” .
Another interesting thing is that I think this game gives an interesting connection between Gerson and Gaster:
in UT, when Gaster fell into his creation, his duty as royal scientist was filled in by Alphys.
now, in DR, when Gerson died, his duty as a teacher was filled in by Alphys as well.
Edit: Like a [totally well-adjusted human being], I did watch this all in one sitting.
Sometimes I think about how in the Berdly fight it says "smells like frozen chicken" and die a little at that
Snowgrave references just casually existing
*drops mic*
pretty sure it's kris who gets controlled by the player and can't say what they want.
kris is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns but excellent points otherwise
@@charlieb6831I'm already overriding their will, he is a he now.

2:02:28 Note that it does not say "misclicked" or "accidentally clicked" or anything in that vein
Something else I noticed was when kris clicked on something it specifically said "you unconsciously clicked" they're the only character that has the word unconscious used for them. Just another sign that they're not in control

The pronoun is "its" the phrase "it's" is "it is."

🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Chapter 2 really set my theory in stone.)
Just my theory. I'm open to anyone's ideas or add ons. :)

“Chill”, “Fever”, and “Weird” could be a reference to the different routes you can do, pacifist being chill, fighting everyone being fever, and obviously weird being weird
After many hours of Deltarune I believe that Ice-E and Mike are going to be equal beings. Like
They have giant grins, one is a highly powerful in media, and the other is believed to be a tv monster. I think we'll be fighting Ice-E commercials
1:21:15 (timestamp just for context) I actually got an easteregg similar to the "a" in agree2all where its in sans' voice. The first time i tried the puzzle the "s" also got read out in sans' voice. Just something that i wanted to add :)
maybe its only on letters that spell out "sans" (so s, a, and n)
The unused text is for sure the lost vessel, I cannot wait for this to unfold.
I have never been so happy when the Osomatsu-san reference is finally being acknowledged, my favorite game series of all time having my most beloved character making a reference to my very first and forever top 1 anime is honestly one of the best things that happened to my life ngl
Your videos are really cool btw :DD
I know people think the gaster sounds are coming from the locked door near the forest, but if you go more towards the end on the room the gaster sounds get louder then just standing near the locked door.
i wonder if thats a bug and toby just put the sound at the bottom of the room instead of on the door lol
@@totallynotarobot8607 Either that, or Gaster is hiding in the forest and stalking Kris like a creep. 🧐
Oh its 5 hours... Ok well ima stop at the 1 hour mark.

1:59:44 Reminds me of Binding of Isaac for some reason
I just realized, Undyne has both her eyes in this game. If you look above the left eye (which was the missing one in Undertale), there is what almost looks like a cut scar.
4:21:18 had this playing in the background
In the same way Top Chef puts [Baker's Arms] in brackets, the hacker also puts [Cool City] in brackets too, which is an actual song by Danny Elfman.
