  • THIS Is How Caitlin Clark Is ALREADY The BEST PLAYMAKER In The WNBA
    In the Indiana Fever’s last game against the Dallas Wings, Caitlin Clark made HISTORY, tallying 24 points and 19 ASSISTS! Although the Indiana Fever lost this game due to bade defense and missed shots, what Caitlin Clark accomplished MUST be recognized. No player in WNBA HISTORY has EVER recorded 19 assists in a game. How did she do it? In this video, I break down the film.

    You are spot on. Caitlin is the perfect point guard. She can score a lot in her own right, but she pushes the ball up court with a purpose every time, and that purpose is to find an open teammate if she can. She's always looking. Think how her teammates feel. They know that if they will work just a little to find an open spot, they will be rewarded by getting the ball in a place where it is relatively easy for them to score. She's just unbelievable at finding shot opportunities for her teammates.

    CC's 3's or lack of in some games comes down to stamina and strength. She has been going strong since what, last September? This break will do wonders for her in so many ways.
    With defense the Fever are learning how to defend, but then fade away from executing. Like boxing out, in a couple games they did this very well, and now not so much. The biggest thing is when a team is fast paced on offense, they usually leave a couple of the opposing team behind. and if not played right those left behind have a good chance of being open on a turnover or brought quicky back up the court.

    Caitlin Clark's deep point scoring arsenal, her range, her ability to make mid-range shots as easily as her 3point drops and drive in lay-ups, most of all her vision to see what's coming next and to take it to the next level is transformative.
    Caitlin Clark is not just a phenomenal 3 point shooter, she is the greatest passer of all time, as evidenced by watching her play, her assist records she keeps breaking, let alone pointing scoring ability, her defense, Caitlin can do it all.
    Caitlin Clark is driving the pace, making offensive plays that literally makes her unstoppable.
    Caitlin Clark has literally revolutionized WNBA Women's Basketball to a new level, rewriting the records book with every game she plays, is without a doubt the WNBA League's ROTY and MVP !
    Caitlin Clark's impact on the Indiana Fever crawling out of the WNBA rankings gutter, in spite of Coach Sides ineptitude, incompetence, is nothing short of astounding !
    Yet WNBA powers that be, which includes Indiana Coach Sides, GM Lin Dunn, hates Caitlin Clark and her massive success, talent, generational skill and massive box office appeal that is embarrassing the WNBA elite powers that be with every game CC plays.

      coach Sides is a little slower on the uptake. no, a LOT slower. she still doesn't get how to coach a running game, or how to motivate CC's teammates (besides AB, and occasionally some of the rest) to get themselves to where CC can get them a dime.

    Why can’t Sides see what everyone else can see?
    Shides sabotages the Fever’s progress.
    Yet Boston and Clark, and occasionally Mitchell keep pushing ahead.
    Wheeler ALWAYS costs them the lead.

    Great video. Sides cannot teach defense. Can you imagine if CC played for UCONN or South Carolina. Boston is exceptional with CC. Kind of curious if Dunn will make a trade before the Aug 20th deadline. Also curious if really good players will want to come and play with CC. next year. Would they take less than max money or would it have to be max money. Or does Dunn even care.

    • @ClutchHoopers
      @ClutchHoopers Месяц назад

      Worried Dunn is unlikely to fire Sides, at least without Caitlin taking a big stance. Sides did such a good job kissing Dunns ass and then Sides brought a bunch of players and staff from Atlanta who she “trusts”. And by trust she means- control the locker room, and put out any fires that’ll get her fired. It’s a scam and a joke.

    Carter, your analysis but also your tone are truly outstanding. Kudos. Maybe you should ask to like/subscribe once in a while, you deserve the attention. About this game, I just want to mention one thing I noticed....the Wings just could not miss, they must have a huge percentage of huge hits in fieldgoals this game. So there is some benefit from 'luck' there. anyhow, a well deserved win. And in the midst of it all, yes Clark was amazing.

    About freakin' time! I am actually looking for you vids, but they do take some time to put together so I will forgive you! Yeah, they are READY for her passes now! Her own team is pushing HER! CC's assists were because everyone was getting down to their goal! Also that one play you showed, Mitchell didn't dribble but PASSED it back to CC. Mitchell is going to be VALUABLE! It's going to be the big three CC, Boston, and Mitchell! CC also now has confidence in her teammates with that behind-the-back, in-the-paint assist! And her teammate was READY! Her hands were READY! Another great vid. One or two more plays could be added and keep your videos succinct and intense!
    Okay, I will forgive you since you were under the weather! 😂

    Sides should put a dribble limit on each player. All players get 1 dribble max before they must pass the ball. All guards can get 3. CC gets as many as she needs. If you are open at the 3 point line you get 0 dribbles....looking at you ERICA.

    • @outsidethegarden
      @outsidethegarden Месяц назад +1

      lol, Sides did the opposite of what you suggest: gave CC a time limit, and apparently didn't interfere with anyone else's desire to dribble, or play hero-ball, or just not give CC the ball, or not even catch passes. weird.

    I got to thank you for for insight and analysis, it is helping me better understand basketball. I am one of those who has taken and interest in the sport since I heard about Caitlin Clark and her Logo 3's..Initially I didn't really know what this meant, except that shooting from there was not common practice in basketball. While there are some men in the NBA. the fellow Curry being the one of most renown, launching from the logo. 3 pointers from as far has been virtually non-existent in WNBA. I watched during March Madness and saw she was singular in this sort of play. Before the end of the first game that I watched, I was amazed by her style of play in feeding passes to her teammates .In one case there was one of her teammates coming almost from behind, to her left running forward. This player must have started on the extreme edge of CC's peripheral vision. Caitlin threw a pass that that met with the trajectory of her cohort who scored successfully. Of course there were bounce and behind the back passes. In Iowa her teammates were accustomed to her style of play which perhaps reduced her turnovers, while in Indiana they are learning she will find them, What I cannot understand is that so called commentators like Bayless and Arenas seem astounded that passing is a part of her game. They only thing they noticed was the Logos. Like her teammates learn to be ready to receive, she will learn overcome double a triple teaming that inhibit her logos.

    The last piece for her is to recognize that she has to shoot sometimes instead of feeding a player having a bad game. Smith cost them the game . Double dribble on a breakaway, two turnovers bringing the ball up the court, missed layups. Clark fed her for a three which is not smiths game. Smith should not touch the ball unless she is under the basket.

      I'm very curious about this -- but I doubt my questions will ever be answered. there were obviously some tense interactions earlier on, about whether CC was supposed to shoot (no), or assist (yes, except none of the rest of the team were expected to be prepared to deal with her high-level passes), or just be a decoy and stand in the corner (are you serious?).
      my own theory (based on watching her at Iowa) is, she realizes that the Fever is a dysfunctional team, based on every-woman-for-herself ball-hogging. she's turning that around, starting with AB. but now she's got to get buy-in from the rest of the team. KM is sort of on board, but her default is still hero-ball. but (here's where I'm just making things up) I think CC's priority is, pass. in order to give the rest of the team the chance to take an easy bucket. which will build their confidence, and increase their buy-in to working with a run-and-gun point guard system.
      and that works -- WHEN they can sink their shots. but if they're not ready for the pass, or they don't get to an open spot, then CC is wasting the chance to sink her own shots. but she still refuses to give up on empowering her teammates.
      and in this game, her teammates (except AB) just weren't there. so CC tried harder -- giving them a LEAGUE RECORD of assists. that they didn't use.
      this is a coaching problem, not CC's problem. my opinion.
