    Beautiful stuff. You got some amazing nest shots. They are truly amazing birds. I have been filming American Dippers feeding their nesting chicks salmon. I even got some underwater shots...check it out on my channel if you are interested! Cheers, Damon

      I don't know but every dipper I've ever seen, including one in China, does it. It is like they are programed to dip.

      It is thought that it might be a way to maintain visual contact in a noisy environment where calling probably wouldn't be heard.

      I know that Thailand Wild is extremely knowledgeable. Dippers call at a frequency that can easily be heard over the sound of the water.

      @@JudyLehmbergEpicNature Ah.... interesting. I've also seen it suggested that they bob to help avoid detection by predators, but that doesn't seem very credible. So my final theory is that they enjoy bobbing.
