The production process of the fermacell Gypsum Fibreboards and fermacell Flooring Elements, illustrated by Ton Bouw, Technical Director at Fermacell BV in Wijchen - with a fully automatic packaging machine.
Once the checks have been made, the boards are packed. This is done by a fully automatic packaging machine. The flooring elements are fitted with protective corner pieces. A label is put on every pallet. All the production data are recorded in a so-called message system linked to the pallet number. This guarantees traceability. The pallets are covered with plastic sheet or synthetic tapes. When the packing process is complete, the pallets are stored in our warehouse. All the accessories needed to work with fermacell boards are delivered directly from our warehouse, too. On average 25 to 30 lorries leave the warehouse every day to take our products all over Europe and sometimes beyond.
