I love Haltane! It reminds me of either Sauvage Elixir with a touch of oud. The other comparison is BR540 with a touch of oud and more depth.

Nice review, Rebel. I much prefer the masculine line from PdM to the feminine. I'd gladly pick up at least four of them, whereas I only enjoy Delina Exc;lusif and Oriana of the other. You didn't mention which one you liked better: OfG or Haltane?

Really liked your review. I have a sample of Haltan and a sample of Kalan. I really loved both. Some how I feel Haltane is more versatile. Some how Haltan reminds me of my 20s that some of my friends would wear the classic Polo Green bottle. Which one do you prefer Kalan or Haltane. So far if you have Layton, HAltane and Herod you are covered for every situation and time of the year. Cheers.
Kalan is like green Irish tweed
Haltane is a banger and my signature scent. The saffron note is my favorite part of the fragrance. I rock it all year round.

It’s so beautiful. It’s everything I wanted BR540 to be. On my list. But they only have big bottles. Waiting for 1 or 1.7 oz bottles.
It's a fantastic scent! I really liked it from the start but enjoying it even more now. Very charismatic and alluring kind of scent 🤩
What is the best From the point of view of spread and stability Haltane or karlayr
Love the drydown on this fragrance. The opening is a bit rough to me and lasts much longer on my skin then it sounds like for you. The drydown is worth the wait tho!

Hey Rotten, I have a small sample of Haltane and enjoy it. I intend buying a full bottle this winter. I've heard that a better comparison is Initio's Oud for Happiness (I also have a sample). I already own a full bottle of Oud for Greatness and agree that it's a 5 star fragrance.
Hi Sandy! Hope all is well 😊 I know a lot of people feel OFG and Haltane are SUPER close.. I don't feel they are THAT close.
I have not done a direct comparison between Oud for happiness and Haltane, so I can't currently comment on similarities, but I do know that Haltane impressed me the most of those two and its the one I (at least currently) prefer the most out of those two.
How do you feel when you compared the 3? Is Haltane super close to OFG according to you? And is it similar to OFH? Please do share 😊
@@rottenrebels Thanks Rotten. I also don't think OFG is that close to Haltane, however, having just sprayed Haltane on one arm and OFH on the other, I DO find that these 2 are surprisingly similar. I think the green notes in OFH make it sweeter and therefore much closer to Haltane. If I were to rank them I would still put OFG first followed by Haltane and then OFH. OFH is growing on me though - I have had my sample for several months and upon the first sniff, I didn't really care for it. I really disliked the cannabis note.
I've also been further testing 2 Killian samples today, namely Gold Knight and Intoxicated. I only picked up the Gold Knight sample recently and it was an immediate love. It has a gorgeous honey note combined with patchouli. I really love both but slightly favour Gold Knight at the minute. It's sooooo smooth and yummy lol.
Quick update: Haltane and OFH now going their own way on the drydown. Haltane is woodier and now more like OFG (but still not that close) whereas the cannabis note in OFH is even more pronounced and radiating off my arm. Now I'm reminded why I wasn't overly fussed on it.
Thanks for sharing about OFG, Haltane and OFH! Kilian's scent are nice indeed.. I gotta put my nose to my sample of gold knight again, but Intoxicated is NICE! 👌
@@rottenrebels No worries at all Rotten. OFG is the best of the 3 by far. I've been budgeting extremely well these past couple of months but have just pulled the trigger on Ormonde Jayne Tobacco Intensivo Verano and will probably order Killian Gold Knight this week. 😳😬☺ I already have Tobacco Intensivo but have been wanting Verano for several months.
The only bottle worthy q,ong the PDM samples I got.

Having a tough time choosing between the Haltane vs the Althair both from Parfum de Marly.
I had the same situation at Nordstrom. Left with Althair, but 30 minutes later I smelled my wrist and realized I needed BOTH

There’s a note in Kalan that just isn’t right. It’s so close though

Come on Sandra , I agree with Rotten Rebel on this one . I would even give it a 9 out of 10, this is an amazing fragrance : very wearable not animalistic oud check , sweet prealine check , fresh check , saffron check , there are not too many fragrances that can pull off fresh , sweet and oud . I think the issue here is that PDM has so many fantastic fragrances that when a new one comes out , the expectations are super high to begin with . Imagine if Burberry came out with a fragrance like this one . Everyone would be thrilled 😂
A great scent indeed.. And like you mentioned, the expectations are really high whenever a new Parfums de Marly fragrance comes out. This release really reminded me of how much I enjoy oud and sweetness together. Sweetness to balance up the oud is a great thing.. 🙌
@@rottenrebels PDM is just one of the best Niche houses period . I try to control myself when it comes to buying them . For a longest time I did not buy Greenley because I thought that Apple will smell kind of synthetic but boy I Was wrong . Greenley is a wonderful fragrance , you just need to spray this one a bit more for a better performance ...
same here Sandra, I know all PDM fragrances for men and almost all for women - so big fan :) I got my hands on a sample about 1 month ago. I heard it resembles the Initio one and indeed at least in the opening I did get a feeling from Initio OFG. Honestly I dont think I would grow to like it more than a 7 average for me . Bottle color is great :P

@@ytsbayezid4510 Oud can be heavy but to me this is not the heaviest of oud and even though it's also sweet, it's sweetness develops nicely with a bit of warmth.
All this is subjective, and I suggest you try and see how it develops on you and how you feel about it. 👍👍
