+Harry Andruschak Thanks. Oh How I laughed when I think how I cried when I sold this roll, then I remembered I had another one... so that that is why I laughed.
I have the Nora Bayes recording posted, but I really like this one too. I was wondering if that 20 second minor-key "tango" starting at 1:38 was in the original score? Or was it just one of those Pete Wendling creative moments?
In addition to his often unique endings, Pete was known for his creative arrangements at QRS, and he (as well as others) often inserted some form of musical comment in the bridges of their performances. Many times it was a theme related tune they played with, but in this case I think it was just Pete showing off. Glad you liked it. Thanks for the view!
Fantastic melody! Do you think this might be available on sheet music? I have a couple of Ragtime friends who would just love this. Thanks for playing!
I Have a EMERSON 78 By Irving Kaufman singing this song! It`s AWESOME! LOVE THIS ROLL!
Fun to hear this again after many years.
Lovely performance - lovely piano, thanks.
Thanks very much. Glad you liked it
That's the same piano I have except mine is a 1924. Got it in 1974 from a guy who wanted the money because he was building an airplane in his garage.
"Like" on the Ides of March 2016 :)
