That's a higher level of knowledge and practical approach to it, thank you Sandi. Actually, this video helped me understand the cause for my Achilles injury (the same foot had been sprained 4 yrs ago)
A timely YT recommendation! After dealing with quite a few ankle sprains/twists the past few seasons, I was really needing this info. Thanks for making this vid!
Really like what you put on your channel. I'm a elite triathlite that struggles on my running. But been getting better at running watching your channel. Videos like these help me trouble shoot after a race or hard run to recover or prevent injures. Thanks.
Thanks Sandi, I’ve been having problems recently with my ankles feeling like their going to roll from underneath me, these exercises should help me out 👍🤘
Your so cute you got a soothing voice haha, I sound pathetic saying this but I love your videos, you have taught me a lot! Keep it up guys! From Singapore 🇸🇬 ❤
Really informative as always. I actually am doing just this as I had hurt my ankle not too long ago. Thanks for sharing so tips, such as the mobility board, I might look into one of those for sure. Also, just want to say I love your videos. Thank you for taking your time to make them.
What do you think about that Roll Recovery device underneath the couch? I've thought about getting one, but it's pretty expensive and I'm not certain it'll actually create enough pressure to be worth it. I often just use a heavy dumbbell on top of my quads to loosen them up when I'm feeling agitation on my lower patellar tendon.
Love the content. Always very informative. I wish the audio was clearer - it sounds like straight up GoPro audio. It’s sometimes hard to hear. Anyway, thanks for the awesome ankle mobility advice. It will help me
There may be a video on it, but I’m amazed by the elevation gains on your Strava runs. A video talking about going up and down hills I think would be really helpful?
I've had flat feet my entire life. Some people are just naturally like that and it doesn't mean arches are weak, but for me, it is important to have good posture to distribute my body weight evenly over my feet. Single leg balancing exercises are always good as well.
@@RunningWildSandi same here, that's why I asked, and great to see someone achieve and sustain a high level with flatfeet, in my case stability shoes helped, if you have specific advises please let me know, appreciated 🙏
Thanks. I find that ankle injuries are more likely to occur in tall, young (18-22 years old) people eg basketball or volleyball players. Also, ankle injuries show up in people who generally have a lack of balance in their lives or are being coached/taught by someone who is overbearing!
OMG I just wanted to ask this! I have this problem I am clumsy and I often step bad while running trails so I am often either resting my ankle followed by stretching and then strengthening my ankle and then it happens again. I am starting to fear it just snaps one day 😱
I remember hearing that if you have one ankle sprain, you're more prone to having another unless you retrain your ankle/foot on how it's supposed to move. Strengthening helps too. I think you can use knowledge to get around that fear and be more confident on trails! :)

Thanks, Erik! Such a great idea to use races to learn what you can do better for the next one!
Thanks Emma!

Hope these exercises work for you. I know running feels more enjoyable when everything is working smoothly. You've got this!

I agree. It was all done on my iPhone. One day I'll be able to justify getting a nice camera and audio set up.

Merci beaucoup! I needed those exercises tks.
Thanks for watching!
Sandy thanks for the video, very informative, do you have a flat feet? Or lower arch? If yes how do you balanced that for running?

That's a good point. You'll sometimes see that in basketball and volleyball due to landing mechanics.
