I spent 3 years outta 6 years in the service, in the war. Me and my 9 year old daughter were at the rally . We were beetween Trump and the shooter. This song describes that day. When the song picks up and they go " We are sick and tired of the games you play". That feels like the moment Trump turned and screamed "Fight ". The will of god. You cant kill what god doesn't want dead. This song will always remind me of that day. Thank you gentlemen
So, I like the music and the vocals, but the lyrics are a little weird. I understand that the Christian community loves Trump, but this is a leaning toward something that could be seen as idolatry and that’s not good.
@@testingmyaudioaddiction3452 What is seen and what the intention is does matter and I’m sorry you didn’t understand the point of the song. The intention isn’t to praise Trump, but to call out the evil that occurs within both sides of government. Evil that caused someone to want to take a man’s life and unfortunately took another, and injured 2 others. Trump referenced that it was divine intervention that saved his life and I acknowledge that in the song that no matter the evil, God is always in control. Whether he believes it or not, that’s between him and God. the point of the lyrics “he can’t be killed” and “you can’t kill who God doesn’t want dead” is exactly that. Not that trump is god or unkillable, but to show that God at the end of the day has the appointed day of our death. Not another. I end it by saying “the will of God, Thy will be done. Hope that clears it up!
@@SmallVoiceBandthat makes more sense. I have been so sad lately seeing the American church’s idolization of this man that I may have projected those feelings onto you and your song. I have been getting discipled by someone from my church family and it has really shown me how much anger I still hold towards things that either I have done or have been done to me. With that being said, thank you for the clarity and sorry once again if I projected anything on you. It is something that God is helping me through and it’s really hard to resist it sometimes. God is good and God bless!
@@testingmyaudioaddiction3452 Just prayed for you now for whatever discipline you’re going through. And no worries! I already thought that my lyrics might get misunderstood and I know exactly what you mean when you say many in the church idolize the Republican Party. That is not us. Thank you for hearing me out! Be blessed!
@@SmallVoiceBandexactly how I perceived the song. I’m Christian and the Holy Spirit isn’t sounding any alarms that this was idolatry. Steady on Small voice! Y’all are kickin butt
