So yeah there's no point in wasting time on the dlc in my eyes at this point.
I just hope this is not a bid to force people to get them from pokemon Go. If so, I am afraid there may be a lot of cheating in the near future. I am still salty about a certain pokemon and Quest line being left out for the Lord knows how long. Also, weren't we supposed to have reruns of 7 star raids? Pokemon Company is starting down a very bad path.

I’m not saying he’s entirely lying anf sound like verlisify but khu has only been leaking stuff that’s already common knowledge or has been being talked about when he leaked the confrontation of the unlocked shinies pokemon locked them and think of it this way so not make videos on leaks that heavily ruin the surprise like that
GameFreak is so out of touch. Shiny hunters play the game more than the average person. It gives us a reason to keep playing. Shiny locking legendaries that are available on SO MANY other games is truly insane.
If they keep doing this they might not receive money from me anymore, Pokémon is a very fun game and it makes it more fun to shiny hunt, 2 to 3 years ago, they said "If people keep shiny hunting the legendarys or the starters they become the normal form for them" and why is that a problem? We just wanna have something to do at the end of the game ;(

That is also what I was looking forward to! How fast my excitement turned into "great. so I'll be spending 5 minutes catching these things just to "complete the game", then stuffing them in a box and lever looking at them again, given I already put all the effort in training these horses when I got them on gen 8, and have no purpose for another round of the same thing".

It is just weird how on some fronts GF doesn't learn from their mistakes at all. These were all not shiny locked in BDSP, SwSh, USUM, and ORAS, but the last time it was this bad was XY and that was with way less legendaries. It just sucks they don't listen to the community one bit. Especially outraging to put something behind a pay wall, like a DLC and then do us dirty like this

I think the issue is that GameFreak cares more about consistency than providing shiny hunt opportunities

While I didnt plan on hunting the legendaries, there was 0 reason to shiny lock them. Also out of the ones on this vid I got Archaludon, Hydrapplin and Porygon!

I already have every one of the legal shiny legends already and once the legends are legal in vgc ill use my shinies to let them know that their stupid shiny lock s*** is ridiculous. At this point im turning omega ruby back on and shiny hunting there.
Sadly soon you won't be able to transfer shiny legends caught in 3ds games or before because poor Nintendo can afford to keep servers up.

I hate that they did this, when Scarlett and violet came out, they were already struggling in terms of gameplay, the designs of the Pokémon and even there shinies for some (yes the mouse Pokémon mainly) and then they were hit or miss with the updates to repair the game.
I was so hoping this indigo DLC would of saved this game but it completely flat lined when I herd the shinies weren’t huntable, what was the reason lack of time, money, laziness I just don’t know anymore.
If this is what we’re gonna expect further on, I’m not so sure how I’m gonna feel if gen 10 releases because it could suffer the same fate as this one.

@@JeererDaClown I pre purchased the game and on the day till they updated it, the lag was noticeable and then when coming to the lake frame rate plummeted, then with the raid dens, because it was made to be multiplayer the syncing was bad, as in when other players were attacking you didn’t see there damage till a minute or two after, not on the spot. And then there was this one time in Area Zero I tried to leave the cave by climbing only to hit a sweet spot and go through the wall and roam about the outer layers of cave I was in I even screen shot it as proof, even the Pokémon you tried to shiny hunt were ridiculous because in certain areas there trapped in the walls and you never noticed until you use the lock in button.
@Dragnel0GenerationX Thats not gameplay. That's performance that you're talking about. Very different things. The gameplay is what keeps Pokemon in business. The performance however is where this is complete trash. I recently purchased the Lenovo Legion Go, which is basically a Switch on steroids, and it's never been more apparent that this game runs like complete garbage. You won't hear me arguing on that aspect however the gameplay is fine.
@@JeererDaClown I think I meant performance yeah, it’s one of those things that take me out of the immersion when it happens, I will say it was humorous when the wall glitch happened but the rest of it was off putting.
@Adrive Gotta Let u Know there is a major glitch with the picnic table that makes it invisible major problem for shiny breeders like myself temporary fix is to close re-open the game but this really needs to talked about and addressed hoping it gets patched i might make a video to showcase the glitch later today just thought id give u a heads up man!

because shinies show in the overworld i think that it might be very bugged (you would have to camp in front of them XD) and they couldnt deal with that so they locked it
Funny enough, shiny Trapinch was the first shiny I encountered in the Indigo Disc! And it was full odds! Only 15 minutes into the DLC also! Just cruising through the Savanah Biome. Now I'm after Dewpider because of outbreak! Thanks for always putting out great content, Dan! And in a timely manner! Always enjoy some aDrive content!
Note: I've hunted half this list before seeing this posting. So glad to know we have a similar taste in our choice of shiny colors!

i wanted a bit more of a challenge when Shiny hunting, so one of the first things i did was hunt for a Jumbo Shiny Metagross to put on my DLC team. the 9th shiny Beldum i caught ended up being Jumbo. so much for a challenge lol
How many balls did it take to capture it, unless you used the master ball anyway
@@Graboid104 for one Beldum, at 1-hp and sleeping, it took me 30-40 premier balls. but i did cheat a little and just reset every time i didn’t end up with a Jumbo beldum. by the end of it i actually only ended up with 5 shiny Beldum. and i did use the Master Ball for 1 of them.
I understand why Terapagos and the peach are shiny locked but previous legendary Pokemon should've been shiny huntable
Well, Pecharunt isn't available at all right now. You meed an event item to get it, and you can't get that item yet. There's also a meloetta encounter no one knows how to trigger yet.

Scizor is a pretty common spawn in the Canyon Biome right by the Central Plaza. Made a Lv 2 Steel Encounter sandwich and got it in 15 minutes.
Can you evolve into hisiuans forms(starters) in the dlc or do they have to be imported?
At least we can still use Dynamax Adventures in SWSH to shiny hunt legendaries. It's a good way to get other shinies too.
It really sucks that they shiny locked all the legendarys in the dlc but if they weren't they had to change how u would encounter them and hopefully in the next game we getting something similar like the dynamax adventurers agin where u can hunt for them and also not being bored doing it

Yall are missing a big factor, Pokemon go. They want shiny legendary hunts to be done in that game since each event makes bank for them, as opposed to releasing these for free in dlc we already paid for. Edit: as I posted this adrive said it in video lol.

they locked the legendaries, but didn't lock the uncatchable ditto blocks OR the pokemon that spawn when syncro'ed (controlling one of your pokemon) AND you auto kill everything you get close enough to in this mode, INCLUDING SHINIES, and if you the trainer are too far away, when you go back to controlling yourself, the shiny will be despawned. also, on top of this, there's a mistake in the coding. the legendaries are supposed to have 3 best IVs but instead get 0. WHO was in charge of this. this is insane. what a fucking MESS
Your Pokemon in Auto Battle do NOT automatically take out shinies. I have seen with my own eyes that they won't target them. First there was shiny Bombirdier in Paldea, then my Walking Wake backed away when I tried sending it after some Milcery in the special outbreak. Right there, I spotted my first shiny Milcery, so Walking Wake didn't touch her.
Oh, you mean Synchronizing? Well, in that case, what did you think was gonna happen? When you test the limits in a Pokemon game, it punishes you. They've been doing that since the ye old days of Gen 1.

@@MetalZuko oh wow, this is new. never been on this side of it before. normally I'm called a bootlicker and sheep and even "literally insane", cause I am very much not what you think. like, if it tells you anything, my fave games in the entire series (which I have played every mainline game on release since yellow) is SWSH.
but I still disagree. these are weird choices that were made by the devs, minus only the legendary IVs which is a mistake.
but they willingly chose to shiny lock all the legendaries but not shiny lock the uncatchable ditto blocks. they were thoughtful enough to make sure autobattles don't kill shinies but ALSO made the choice of not having an overworld sound effect, and now chose to allow what is essentially autobattle to kill shinies if you so much as walk too close to them, and they will despawn if your character is too far away when you cancel out of it.
these are intentional choices. although I will give you, shiny locking the legendaries could be something insisted on by the higher ups to sell them via pokemon go or something, but I doubt that. I expect it'll go as it usually does, and these legendaries will be given out shiny as download codes over the coming months or something.
I'm personally not bothered much by the slow down, lag, frame drops, camera glitching through the map, and all the wild graphical mess that we saw at launch. I still think they're some of the funniest things to ever come from this fandom, but I and everyone else are allowed to be grumpy by things sometimes. that doesn't make us abusive haters who needlessly attack the devs over things they aren't in control of/are due to crunch. even the most passionate and understanding fans can have complaints sometimes.
I totally feel you on the frustration with haters and how they tend to ruin the vibe and abusing the devs is Super Fucked, but that doesn't mean the devs can do no wrong or that any and all complaints are unfounded and from a place of entitlement and hate. I've put 1,435 hours into violet alone. if I wanna be grumpy about it and complain that they made shiny hunting harder/easier to fail and the character customization is shit, I will, cause I've certainly earned it.

Raging Bolt, much like Raikou, is one of those pokemon where the regular colors and the shiny colors should've been switched. Can't explain why. Idk what it is but Raikou's shiny has always felt like it should be the regular one's color, and vice versa. Same with Raging Bolt here. Just feels more correct to me.

Shiny Joltik tho. Tiny, but its hopping around in the abridged Chargestone Cave, just like in the original game.
I mean with the auto battle it makes looking for things like Mineor shiny pretty easy.
The ONLY theory I have (for the new shinies like the paradox ones), is that they’re trying to avoid a briefcase simulator situation. Because you encounter them as part of the story, they don’t want people to stop dead partway through the story and spend potentially months refusing to progress until they get a shiny.
As for the old ones, my only theory there is the same as my theory on why the PC boxes haven’t expanded (I know MINE are pretty crammed). It’s to encourage you to have to use Pokémon home. They want you to get those shiny legendaries in Max Raid Den adventures and bring them forward in Home, rather than being able to acquire them in one game now.
But those are just theories

You literally do not encounter them as a story. Also, even if you did. The cut scenes can literally show shinyness if you hack it to be shiny so even that's a lame excuse And if people wanna hunt for a Pokémon, let them hunt. Worst part is some pokemon are still locked to this day (looking at you victini)

2. They want to encourage people to buy SW/SH. Looks like the Crown Tundra is the best place to farm Shiny legends. Make a new account and farm D-Max adventures.

I actually started the plot and almost as soon as I went into the Terarium I found a shiny Trapinch. With the Uncommon Mark. Absolutely recommend hunting for it, it's really easy to spot and shiny Flygon is so good

I honestly enjoyed indigo disk a lot, had not felt such a nice pokemon experience since like gen 5 personally. It could have been perf if only legends were not shiny locked smh
Quite dumb considering there's obviously rushed work done with these games and they can simply cover their tracks at the very least giving people the chance to have these shiny legendaries to be used later down the road. It's not even confirmed if in the future these pokemon will be playable anyways so they could've also as easily made it to where you couldn't use these pokemon in the next game lol
Yup. I am a full odds shiny hunter and have bought every Pokémon game since I was 5 in 2000 and I was so excited for this dlc as it’s potentially my last Pokémon release as I’ll be 30 in a couple years and the locked everything… I found out when I first started and I put the controller down right there and stopped playing. Im done with the series this is absurd.

The shiny locks are the worst part. Ive poured hundreds of hours into the games just looking for the shinies and I had been excited to hunt for kubfu, meloetta, and the false legends.

They really had to shiny lock the new paradox mons...what gives? Sucks cuz Dewpider is the only shiny on that list I don't have. Honestly once I catch that, imma hop back on to CoD. I'll get back to pokemon when the next gen comes out.
They shiny locked them likely because theres nothing pokemon related coming out until the end of 2024 most likely so they need some reason to get people to do raids for another entire year on a game that most people are already bored with.
My reasoning for this is theres 25 legendaries and 12 months in a year with the exception of a few pokemon remaining on the end that's 1 legendary pokemon raid every 2 weeks like they did with the mightiest mark pokemon
I think shiny locks are great because it helps retain the value of your previous shinies. I hope they never release a shiny deoxys or darkrai again because I like havin those rare rare exclusives.
Well some people are new to pokemon and want that rare rare shiny.. so wouldn’t even be a thing.
You can get darkrai shiny in DP and Deoxys shiny in Emerald. While both require some level of glitch, whether walking in the void or fainting a Pokémon with a berry, you can shiny hunt them in those games
I'm so glad I got shiny Ho-Oh in sword. But I always wanted a shiny suicune and latios.. This is just so backwards. This reduces playability. They are probably just going to release them in events...which is boring and not special at all
i dont even see them releasing as events you will be able to get them in pokemon go when they come out

The most valid reasoning I can think of for game freak is that these pokemon are static encounters and unlike swsh/bdsp the battle here is done in the overworld which cannot change the pokemon to shiny. Now that i think about it that also the case with PLA.

The pokemon appearing shiny in the overworld prove different literally EVEN DITTO BLOCKS CAN BE SHINY even tutorial for syncro can have shinys (uncatchable) Even encounters like spiritomb and TERA POKÉMON can be shiny don't use the bs excuse "there static"
Why would static encounters make a dufference? There has been non shiny locked static encounters before. If it is a programming limitation then that is still a failure on their part

After hearing the legendaries are shiny locked I didn't even want to play the dlc, me and my fiance were planning on doing live streams and hunts for some of our favorite legendaries. All of these dumb choices have really been making me question why do I keep playing these dlcs at the least. It's honestly rough with them also shutting down the online support (soon) for ds games and what not locking your pokemon in older Pokemon games. I don't know

The shiny lock is so dumb, but I’m pretty sure you’re right about why they did it for the new ones from gen 8-9. They want to pay wall them through raids, or the GameStop cards. The older legendaries not be unable is just stupid though. Why lock them when I can just go and find them in dynamax adventure? So you can put them in raids, but still have them locked? So dumb.

Ugh i hate when people say the whole dlc is shiny locked. Makes things real confusing with a title like that.... THE LEGENDARIES ARE SHINY LOCKED NOT THE REUGLAR ASS POKEMON.
The new legendary pokemon makes sense i guess im fine with them being shint locked a bit annoyed but its fine but locking all the old legendary pokemon even though you can shiny hunt all of them in all the other games on switch makes no sense
