@tillitsdone my feelings exactly! Mick Taylor said so much by playing well placed notes is incredible ❤ Much like Mick Jagger on harp, just a few notes that just screamed!
I love the Mick Taylor period. Ronnie is a much better match for the Stones, regardless of technique. The band was never about technique to begin with.
Even Keith said when Taylor joined the band he took them in a new direction, and obviously put out the best Stones music from YaYa's to Sticky, to Exile 😎💯
Mick Taylor years are my favorite. Please.... BOX set Also, I need to say.. Charlie Watts drum playing was very important to the songs. The beats led the way for great music..
As much as I love the MT years, when you take the long view, the true sound of the Stones is Keith, Charlie, and Bill regardless of the era or time period. They’re the best there ever was. Period.
It’s kind of a pity they let Mick Taylor go, he did add a lot to their sound. Woody’s great & everything… but he’s not in the same league as Taylor.
Especially live, Ron doesn't stand out like Taylor

Mick left, he wasn't let go

Well yes but they’d never have written Some Girls with Mick. Stylistically totally different direction
The Taylor years were the best years for the Stones,no contest! It's easy ,just LISTEN!
Exactly
Listen to Hide Your Love….an underrated beautiful solo you can whistle to.

Mick Taylor was certainly "Ventilated" of his royalties!

What a chaotic video

I’ve always wondered how thoroughly Brian Jones “drowning in the pool” was investigated.
Muss ich mir morgen anschauen...🍀
“We just thought they were some guys who sang badly.”
A famous real musician from the 60’s.
Rubbish. Damn sure every song Taylor played on he was the sound of the Stones.

The stones were a better rock band than a blues band.
Im just sayin
When Brian Jones was there the opposite was true! After Taylor left the Stones became trashy Budweiser salesman posing as a rock band.
Some girls? Tattoo you? Not good but great 👍.
Mick Jagger should've gave Mick Taylor whatever he wanted to not quit the Rolling Stones. After he left they never made a good album again.
