I love these sailor bows they're gorgeous, I've been making bows for 20 years and I'm really not a fabric bow person but these are cute and super easy to make
I just made one following your video, and the clear way of knotting the bow made it too easy for me to make it so fast. Thank you. Greetings from Pakistan
haha thank you lol. I just try to get all the info and details on what I am doing out there since it is a "tutorial" because I can't always come back here and answer everyones questions on time. lol
Wow! You do great work! Thanks for the tutorial. I use to make bows a few years ago (when the big over the top bows were in). I want to get back into it and make these, so adorable. This tutorial was very helpful! Now, just to learn how to use a dang sewing machine lol!
you can hand stitch it together. are you talking about the bow itself untying or just the nylon band coming off? nylon band itself shouldn't come off if its tied into the bow
Such a great tutorial! Thanks for sharing your method! Any chance you could share where you get the logo fabric for the samples shown in the beginning? Understand if you wanna keep some secrets to yourself!
Magnifique votre vidéo. Je ne comprends pas tout. Mais pourriez vous me dire combien font les longueurs et largeurs de vos bandes de tissus. Je vous remercie beaucoup
I just want to say how great your tutorials are. I’m setting up to start making bows/ headbands as just a side business for a little extra cash and your video tutorials are so helpful. I was hoping to get your opinion on what other material you would use to make these bows ( for the nylon band ones) I’m struggling to get my hands on some nice Linen and don’t want to buy just any other material and then it maybe is to bulky it doesn’t work. Thank you for your time
so linen/cotton blend works better than 100% linen because usually that one is too stiff. also try flax linen, usually its on the thin side. even woven cotton is hard to work wit sometimes for these type of bows. the fabric has to be thin+flexible. this linen blend I used its from Joanns fabric store - they still carry it and if you have the chance to go and see how it feels - thats basically the perfect fabric for these type of bows. I dont know how many grams it is, thats why I explained it like this way lol
stick the glue stick tip under the knot in the front and the back, squeeze a tiny dot of glue and than press and hold till its dry. the glue won't be seen, and it won't untie. be sure to do it under each loop in the knot area.
yes, should be able to use all kinds of fabric. it will just depend how bulky it will be or easier or harder to work with. I just find these linen cotton blends are best
this one I got at Joanns fabric store. its linen blend, but I love it the most for bows. they have more colors and patterns. I haven't found a linen fabric store online just yet only because they do charge a lot for linen. Joanns inside store always has sales or I use 40% off coupons hah
Hi! Love this ! Thanks so much for posting. I have made a few of them and I find my daughter has an easy time opening the bow. I’m worried that if I sell these in my business, that this will be a common occurrence. Do you glue the middle together once you sell them?
stick your hot glue in between where you tied, after its tied and put a dot of glue.it won't be shown and keeps the bow from untying. I hope that made sense. if it didn't message me on instagram.com/zhannastar and I"ll send you a quick 10 second video of what I am talking about
you have to pull the loops tight, than pull the tails while holding the knot and than again pull the loops till everything is even. the thicker the fabric the harder it will be
I love these so much! I made them but for some reason it’s so hard to tie, the bow part and even tails don’t lay flat :( I don’t know what to do. I’m almost there
Thank you this was so helpful! As an 11 year old entrepreneur in the making this was amazing thanks a bunch!
Needed this! My bow and headband for my daughter came out so cute !

I’m curious wha teams people make bows out of other than some kind of fabric.. plastic? lol

Excellent tutorial and appreciate your attention to detail ~ these bows are ADORABLE!! Thank you for sharing your talent and process.
Such a nice tutorial. But also I love how she is so detailed and "uptight" (not in the wrong way) about the whole process 😍😍
haha thank you lol. I just try to get all the info and details on what I am doing out there since it is a "tutorial" because I can't always come back here and answer everyones questions on time. lol
Super straight forward! I followed along to make my first one and it turned out pretty good!

thank you! and working on it (:
How do you stop the bow coming off the nylon headband when little ones pull it? I pop glue In the middle but had one come off

I found it on etsy but the shop no longer exists! I know!!! I'm soooo bummed out! I been searching for similar but I cant find anything!
I’m in a bunch of custom fabric groups and they’ve been cracking down on copyrights, so logo many shops are no longer printing them.

totally get that. bows aren't cheap especially custom prints
Muito lindo só não entendi as medidas. Obrigada por ensinar 💕
I'm thinking that the smaller bow should be on the clip
all sizes can be on clip or headband, depends on your preference (:

Hi! Do you have recommendations on how to secure the bow more? So if baby pulls on it, it doesn’t come apart?
stick the glue stick tip under the knot in the front and the back, squeeze a tiny dot of glue and than press and hold till its dry. the glue won't be seen, and it won't untie. be sure to do it under each loop in the knot area.
Thank you for quick response! Do you have recommendation on a glue that has best hold & is non-toxic?
Where you get the LV fabric ?
Hi. Do you have the sizes for small medium and large ribbon? Thank you

Can I iron the fabric without a steamer? What would be the difference? 🤔 Love how cute they turned out!
yes you can. I just use a steamer cause it irons it on faster, and I feel like it takes out the wrinkles faster and easier as well.
Whenever I make them, one side is longer than the other once I tie. How do you make them even?
make sure the sides are even before tying the bow. like shown @6:34
Zhannastar i do. I think one side loses more fabric in the knot when tied. I'll keep trying though. Thank you!
Whats this fabric called ?
the pink bows that I did? its a linen/cotton blend. so its a little lighter than 100% linen - easier to work with
Where can I find it love ?
@@keylihenriquez7068 I mainly get my linen at Joanns fabric store, or I just search "linen by the yard" on etsy.com theres many shops and sellers.
