    Can you do it without sewing it together?

    • @Zhannastar
      @Zhannastar  3 года назад +2

      yes, instead of sewing, when you pinch/pleat the middle part, while holding it with your fingers, get one of those clear elastic mini headbands and tie it around the middle part. than knot the center, per usual, just leave the tail part longer so it doesnt come apart, if that makes sence

      Theres another variation of this type of bow. It has extra fabric strip in the front on one side and the back on the other side.

    Is the yellow one considered a 6 inch bow??

    • @itsleslie5539

      But measurements are really 6x5’’??

    • @itsleslie5539

      I’m confused if my bow should be 6x6 or 6x5 when done?

    • @Zhannastar
      @Zhannastar  2 года назад

      It’s a 5” bow.

    • @Zhannastar
      @Zhannastar  2 года назад

      No the strip i cut is 6 inches (height) by 18 inches. You can cut the strip 5”x18” or even 4”x18” that doesn’t determine the size of your actual finished bow. What determines the size is when you follow the folding steps, and how long is your folded part is before you “pleat/pinch” it to gather it together in the mkddle

    Newbie here , what is the difference with the glue in the clip ??

    • @Zhannastar
      @Zhannastar  4 года назад +1

      I do both. for personal I just either glue them, or slip them in. for my store I only glue them on, using hot glue. I think its considered a choking hazard so it has to be like glued I guess.

    Do you have a video for an 8” bow

    • @Zhannastar
      @Zhannastar  4 года назад +2

      I do not. but for 8 inch instead of having a 3" first fold, you do a 4.5" fold, and than the second fold should be 8' that will make it 8" width, but it probably won't stand and will be floppy.

    How much fabric does this take on total? I'm trying to figure out how much I need to order.

    • @Zhannastar
      @Zhannastar  4 года назад +2

      for one bow you need a strip of 6"x18" (inches)
      a yard of this type of fabric (bullet/liverpool fabric) is usually sold by half or a full yard. in a full yard the standard is 36"x60". so approx 20 bows will come out of 1 yard.

      look up "bullet fabric by the yard" on Etsy. there's a lot (: I kind of just buy all over there, depending who has what

    Do you know how many inches the final product is?

    • @Zhannastar
      @Zhannastar  4 года назад

      5 inches in length, and approx 5in in width. these are the usual size of these, if bigger they will flop down.

    What age does this specific measurement of bows work for? My daughter is 1

    • @Zhannastar
      @Zhannastar  4 года назад +2

      this is a 5" bow. a 1 year old can wear it, it will just be an oversize bow (: so the strip is 6"x18", you can cut the strip 4"x 15" to make it a 3" bow. and those are perfect for one and under (:
      you can see my bows and how they look like on babies on here www.zhannastar.com/product-page/bow-on-a-nylon-band
