Lysander, the one attacking the city, is the true heir to the throne of Waterdeep but was sent away to a school for dragon riders. While he was gone, his twin brother murdered their father and usurped the throne. So Lysander is leading an army to take back his throne from Sephiran, his twin brother and usurper. Unfortunately, there is always horror in war, even if you are leading a good cause...

I'd been getting back into a D&D fever a bit so I was going around gaining inspiration for a new character, and I decided to do a random search for this animatic in particular. (I knew it was taken down for a while, but I was super excited to see it come up.) I'm one of players of this campaign when it was still going. My character was Lysander (one of the twin brothers featured here. :D)

I don’t feel sorry for Ramses. The plagues could’ve been avoided and his son would’ve lived if he had only listened to Moses and let the Israelites go.
Hello! I'm the original commissioner. The story behind this animatic is that two brothers were born into the royal family. One brother (Sephiran) was chosen for the throne while the other was chosen by the dragon god Bahamut to become a dragon rider (Lysander). While Sephiran inevitably got the throne, he was jealous of his brother for being able to receive a lifelong companion and go on adventures while Sephiran was forced to stay in the kingdom and take on the pressures of being King. Years later, Lysander is forced to conquer his own kingdom as there are greater evils than Sephiran at work and need its support & resources. (Support that Sephiran was too stubborn to give.) + to save it from Sephiran's tyranny.
