I have a Model J triple battery... I swapped out the adjustable stem, added a full twist throttle and added a cafe fairing ... My only issue is that the rear light visibility is compromised by the rack ... I suggested an adapter but no joy so far.
The white fork throws the look off more than the turd colored rack. This bike will be on my radar if/when they add rear suspension. Thanks for the video.
Two batteries: do you unlock them and swap to get the stored range, or are they both online? And also, any idea what the real-world range is per battery?
warch the video. the number of batteries is configurable and the second battery "doubles the range" (although the website says 60 miles/100 miles/150 miles. I dont see a reason why the batteries would have to be swapped. unless the cheapen out on battery connectors...I dont know how dual batteries ebike handle using unbalanced batteries though. the best solution would probably be draining only the battery with the highest voltage until both have identical voltage, instead of letting it charge the other battery while powering the bike which woukd likely reduce rhe power available and put unnecessary load on the battery.
Is EBC the only company offering a fully customizable e-bike at the moment? If so, it's a really smart differentiation strategy and competitive advantage in such an increasingly crowded field. The only things I wish they offered are a belt drive option for the Model J (I'm willing to pay the premium) and a customizable minimalist gravel road bike with a throttle that competes with Ride1up's Gravel Roadster v2.
Care to elaborate on the difference? 28mph is within "moped" speed territory, the 1250W peak is right up there with Maryland moped horspower limit. (1.5hp / 1100W) although I think it is usually the nominal power that is used to rate ebikes and emotircycles..I guess they want to keep the bike a legal class 3 ebike
@@geemy9675 mopeds go 28 mph + on throttle only. They also need to be registered as motor vehicles in most jurisdictions. 35 to 40 mph on throttle is more normal for mopeds.
i bet EBC could make a kickass American belt-drive , mid-drive moped . I'd get it All Chrome 💫
Nice options. Blue and brown are actually one of my favorite color combos, but my preference would be brown wheels on a blue frame.
I agree--blue and brown are a great combo.
I purchased a model J love it, nice cruiser, old school look, costume design for my liking. It took over 2 months to build. Had to wait.
Thank you for your support, enjoy your ride
I see high expectations for a this company and it’s customization options. I’m on board.
The triple battery option is awesome. I think that's the first time I've seen a triple battery.

Would be nice to know what this weighs, as configured. Thanks!
This bike with 3 batteries, suspension fork and rear rack is about 70lb. You could get it as light as 52lb with just one battery
They need to give it quality rear suspension, then I’m in.
I don't understand why you don't put links to the product in the description! Nice bike and nice review
Same here. Was that a mistake
Some kind of optional bolt on spring seat might be a good option. Or an optional higher seat for those who want to pedal a bit.
Blue and Brown are a great pairing - aesthetic is perfect. Still prefer more lively power output for moped style ebikes.
Love everything accept the motor size. Love the 3 battery option is cool. Can you order a larger motor??.

a leather satchel would be dope on that brown rack 🐎
I think they actually have that as an accessory! Why didn’t I think of that!?
@@Electrekwould you do a review on eahora m8s and the eahora knight m1ps
"Because I'm not a Psychopath" hahahaha! well played

The white fork makes it look like a walmart bike imo. I like the battery options.
Thumb throttle is the only way to go over those bs half grips.
I believe there are at least a few e-bike companies more American-made because EBC doesn't make their frames in the U.S. as far as I'm aware.
I bought one of these, it's really slow for a moped style bike. And it cost $2,000 after selecting some basic color options

I’m getting one! Cosmo Purple frame, front & rear rack. Adventure bike!
Thank you for your support! We hope you enjoy your bike
Looks nice 👍
That is a great looking bike
Wonder why most of the pre-build ebikes using hub-motors, mid-drive motors should have better preformance
Can the rear rack be used for an extended seat, and carry a passenger?
Add a pad n I don’t see why not.
I'm disappointed it isn't an actual E-moped like is stated in the headline. E-moped like isn't the same thing. Nice bike, though.

Sure..... if you have the money, honey. Plus shipping.
Nice bike but horrible color choices 🤣
Heh, you said hiney. Oh wait, this isn't F9 😆
3:09 Oh noo! There goes another $4 and 15 minutes to fix the color 😅
They are ghosting customers, not taking calls I need parts for model E , they say email & will get back 24 hours but never do
No fat tires.
Thank you for your support! The model J comes with 24 x 3in tires
The factory and offices are both in Costa Mesa not Newport Beach.
Thumb throttles rule!!! Oh No im a psychopath 😮 hide u children 😂 get outta here with that nonsense
Heretics, all of you! 😜
What an ugly color scheme, nobody wants a blue bike
