    The craziest thing is Denver being the first Western Conference team not in Texas or California to win the title since the Sonics in '79.

    Shaq averaged 36 and 16 in 2000 Finals. 😮 Once they got Phil Jackson and he locked in, he played his absolute best basketball on the biggest possible stage. For three straight years.

      @@Ari3558 Absolutely. I would argue it was the best. There are others who had better raw stats for a season (Wilt averaged 50, MJ won MVP and DPOY, etc.). But Shaq had all-time statistical dominance, AND won all three MVP awards, AND won it all in dominant fashion. I think he definitely had the greatest Finals series ever that year. MJ in ‘93 is up there. But 36 and 16 boards to win it all?? That’s crazy.

    Fun Fact but when the Bullets actually won the championship, the commentators and CBS Sports showed on the broadcast that Bob Dandridge was the Finals MVP of the series. That's why you never hear them actually declare Unseld as the Finals MVP for the series, yet the NBA has the award in his name. I would really love to figure out what went wrong there and was Dandridge the real Finals MVP or did Unseld actually get it and the commentators messed up?

    Im not a Lebron fan in the slightest, but if 1 person deserved EVER to get a Finals MVP on the losing team besides Jerry, it's 2018 Lebron, period. The man was 2 orders of magnitude better than anyone else on the court, including KD. And he was without Kyrie against one of the best teams ever.

    All due respect, all greats of the game.
    However, Cedric Maxwell was a seniority MVP (Cedric 17, 9 and 3. Larry 15, 15 and 7, with 2+ steals...). And LeBron deserved 2015 even in a loss. I know that happened only once before, but the fact that Iguodala won that one for "limiting" him to 36, 13 and 9 is kinda comical... 😂
