I've never been super religious, but the last few years have been some of the worst times of my life. I've always been a huge For Today fan, ever since their Ekklesia Album. Their music has always given me chills, almost like God was present. I have decided to become a follower of Christ and be an all-around better person. I hope Christ accepts me with open arms and will accept me as I am and cleanse me of my sins.
I love how God can use what some Christians say is evil music to reach the lost. There songs have helped me thru a lot of storms in life they taught me to be Bold in Christ they will forever be my number one band ever because they right truth and they don’t compromise awesome RIP

Another dead band, Sleeping Giant. They where a great band that help me find my way back to Jesus in 2012 when I was a lost cause... All these bands that are going away did help me and a bunch of people find our way. I'm Happy that you like For Today and that they help you commute with God. We had Mattie Montgomery come speak at our college in Virginia and share a message with us. This dude is so chill. I love how he publicly is open and plays a popular style of music that portrays his open faith to everyone. This dude is inspiring... This dudes chill.
Just started listening to this band and I just learned it's a Christian band. Although I'm atheist I don't mind listening to Christian music and I am getting into this band and I like this song too. It's bands like these that prove to ignorant people that this genre of music is not "devilish" or "evil" or "satanic" it proves to people that you can worship the lord in anyway so I give props to this band that make music the way they do and be who they are and not have to change just for the fame. 👏👏👏

His message was how a lot of Christians like the spotlight, big churches and massive intelligence. I tell you now he was right, some of us will never be noticed. However, some of the most important moments in the bible are started by nobodies, their names aren't even there, except in God's memory. He is not far from you and he has not forgotten you, keep the faith.

I remember the first time I heard this song. It came on my pandora while sitting on a city bus heading home in Ft. Lauderdale. I had just gotten off of work as a formwork carpenter. Nothing but a mattress on a floor in a shitty apartment. It resonated with me then to keep going. I’m older now. Married with a kid. I sit behind a desk. It still hits the same as it did back then. Amazing song.

Hey brother, I used to be Atheist, God pulled me from that. I really suggest prayer and studying. I didn't come to faith through reading the Bible(it only solidifies my faith now) or even talking to someone, I came to belief only through God proving his presence. Have to consider this band a guilty pleasure, don't believe a word they say but the lead is heavy as fuck and has a great scream/growl, don't like the implications of the lyrics, still a good artist though.

I don't listen to For Today because I want to be Christian any more than I listen to Behemoth because I want to be the anti-christ.
If you like it, listen to it. Yes, there's a message behind every song, but a message is not a rule.

Hey brother, I used to be Atheist, God pulled me from that. I really suggest prayer and studying. I didn't come to faith through reading the Bible(it only solidifies my faith now) or even talking to someone, I came to belief only through God proving his presence. I could have picked any other belief because it sounded good, but the God of us had pulled me out of non belief for some reason, and I believe it is to speak to those following the path that I took. He loves you, search for him :)
