Another dead band, Sleeping Giant. They where a great band that help me find my way back to Jesus in 2012 when I was a lost cause... All these bands that are going away did help me and a bunch of people find our way. I'm Happy that you like For Today and that they help you commute with God. Just started listening to this band and I just learned it's a Christian band. Although I'm atheist I don't mind listening to Christian music and I am getting into this band and I like this song too. It's bands like these that prove to ignorant people that this genre of music is not "devilish" or "evil" or "satanic" it proves to people that you can worship the lord in anyway so I give props to this band that make music the way they do and be who they are and not have to change just for the fame. 👏👏👏
Mattie just shared a message at Liberty University, can you believe that? So awesome, I don't mean to lower him but rather my understanding of what God is capable of. His message was how a lot of Christians like the spotlight, big churches and massive intelligence. I tell you now he was right, some of us will never be noticed. However, some of the most important moments in the bible are started by nobodies, their names aren't even there, except in God's memory. He is not far from you and he has not forgotten you, keep the faith.
Chris Epperson saw it and you can tell he still struggles with the pride and fame but I'm glad he was honest about it and I trust he's genuinely trying to get better about it! Awesome message though!

I remember the first time I heard this song. It came on my pandora while sitting on a city bus heading home in Ft. Lauderdale. I had just gotten off of work as a formwork carpenter. Nothing but a mattress on a floor in a shitty apartment. It resonated with me then to keep going. I’m older now. Married with a kid. I sit behind a desk. It still hits the same as it did back then. Amazing song.
I've never been super religious, but the last few years have been some of the worst times of my life. I've always been a huge For Today fan, ever since their Ekklesia Album. Their music has always given me chills, almost like God was present. I have decided to become a follower of Christ and be an all-around better person. I hope Christ accepts me with open arms and will accept me as I am and cleanse me of my sins.

Because I guests they tire and God want them to do something else and calling it a day. Also the leader Mattie said they breaking up.
Also this band have been doing this for 9 year. They also are doing their last tour and lot of different city.
It a lot of people that just now came to the band. Even know they done now I still listen to them and a lot other do too.
I miss the more lead-driven style of guitar from Breaker. Their guitar work isn't as interesting now.

Have to consider this band a guilty pleasure, don't believe a word they say but the lead is heavy as fuck and has a great scream/growl, don't like the implications of the lyrics, still a good artist though.

Agreed! I'm also an athiest. Right or wrong, my belief, is not a religious one. But I do believe, this band is talented and heavy. I listen to my music for the... music... Lol. I don't listen to For Today because I want to be Christian any more than I listen to Behemoth because I want to be the anti-christ.
If you like it, listen to it. Yes, there's a message behind every song, but a message is not a rule.
william mitchell i agree with him. my belief is that most sensible atheists dont care what belief or faith someone has. the only thing that grinds my gears are the people of other beliefs (not just christians but other ones too) constantly tell me how what im believing in is wrong
