David is the most incredible actor I've ever see. I'm almost finishing his filmography and every time I see a movie or series that he is in it, it makes me more sure that he's my inspiration (sorry my english)
Yes! David is my very reason I started learning English. He and Doctor Who. I started to watch Doctor and there wasn't decent dub for it so I started to watch it with subs, and I fell in love with his voice! So I started watching his works, movies and theatre, and later listen to the books he narrated (How to train your dragon in David Tennant's narration is the best thing ever). He's got such an incredible voice! And his acting is so brilliant, like, you watch some comedy with him and you laugh your ass off, and then you watch drama, and you can't help crying.

That's exactly how I feel, since 2011 when saw him for the first time, I fell in love with his work. The way he can be both a super serious caracter in Broadchurch as well doing a incredible performance in Recovery, Hamlet and so many others, is speechless. We can't forget the wonderful Doctor, which I still don't have words, that he was, actually "once a doctor, always a doctor". Anyway, if I continue I'll stay here until God knows when hahaha

If you're familiar with the classic series... it's both.

The show itself has always been called Doctor Who, both the classic and the newer show have credited the character as 'The Doctor' and ' Doctor Who' but the show has never officially used the term 'Dr. Who' in any way. At least as far as my long term, classic series knowledge goes they haven't. A number of actors have also referred to the character as Doctor Who also.
There is a difference because 'Doctor' is a name and 'Dr." is a job title. The Doctor has repeatedly implied that he's not a real Dr. and it's just a name he chose. Only the term 'Doctor' applies to the TV show.
Dr. Who was saved for the two Peter Cushing movies which have nothing to do with the show. It's how they got around the legal complications by actually making him a human called Dr. Who. :-)

What others like WOTAN call him is also kind of irrelevant because they aren't him and could simply be wrong by assuming he's an actual Dr. It's happened a few times.
If he did sign his name as Dr. it still doesn't mean much unless it's widely used. He's used aliases throughout his life, like John Smith and Foreman. Susan even took on the Foreman last name whilst on Earth. He is officially the The Doctor or Doctor Who, not Dr. Who. See the bit about the Cushing movies and how they got around the name. :-)

David Tennant is such a hilarious dude, I freakin' love his accent. I love that he was finally on this! The best doctor, always my doctor. I miss him so so so much. So glad he's coming back on screens soon in his new projects and stuff. I love this guy! Like, he's adorable, goofy, and just amazing. I love him so much. I can't even explain it.
He brings light, positive outlook, he likes to make us laugh, even at ourselves. He's someone I can imagine I'd be proud to know. Reminds me a bit of my husband insofar as liking to make people smile, laugh :)

I actually couldn't stand the Tenth Doctor until his season with Donna. He was always so arrogant and borderline cruel towards Martha (though not as bad as the fans were to her), and the s2 romance~ with Rose was creepy after they basically telegraphed Nine as her surrogate dad figure. Donna was just the sort of person he needed to ground him yet still keep him a little light-hearted. Honestly wish David had stayed on one more year, cause Catherine has said she would've done two seasons. Just imagine!
To understand Rose's significance you have got to watch Clara Oswald with both Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi's doctor. You will understand how amazing she actually was and she really did love the doctor no matter what he looked like.
Er...I did. Still not helpful. If anything, Clara's relationship with the Doctor was an honest depiction of what the Rose-Doctor dynamic was: a codependent mess of two people feeding each other's egos and believing themselves to be invincible. They create their own problems and enemies. Remember "we are not amused"? Yeah, if Rose had just had the decency not to make fun of Victoria while people were LITERALLY DYING all around them, there'd have been no Torchwood, thus no Battle of Canary Wharf, and Rose would've never been lost to the parallel universe. In an early draft, RTD's plan was even that the Doctor and Rose caused Victoria to actually die in that episode and change/damage history. But go team, I guess.
Her significance is that she got Nine out of his gloomy rut, I won't deny that. But she was absolutely the wrong companion for Ten. The last thing he needed was a young girl to moon over him and be his cheerleader when he could barely fit his head through a doorway due to the size of it. And he absolutely led her on to the point where she was willing to ditch her own mother - who had devoted her life to raising her - in a parallel universe, never to be seen again. If Jackie had had Sylvia Noble's personality, I'd understand it better, but Rose just comes off as foolish and selfish in that "but then I met the Doctor" scene. And when RTD was content to shove almost every other woman in the show at Ten as a love interest, it kind of cheapens their supposed "true love".
Rose was not doctor's 'true love'. Yes she got nine out of the trauma but she didn't abandon him when he changed. The doctor himself says that regeneration is hard, you barely remember who you used to be. When ten's regeneration happens he is so frail that for a good part of the episode he is on a bed. She stayed by him even though she couldn't recognize him she knew who he was. She saved him more times than anyone can count not because she and him were mooning over each other, but because she gave the doctor strength to move on and the belief that he can have friends. We all know what happens to him when he is alone. Yes Donna levelled him but the basis of all the companion-doctor relationship was laid by Rose. It was due to her he realizes that he is not alone and he can have friends. Clara was just obnoxious when twelve comes.
If Kilgrave was still alive, he could've helped out in infinity war!

Yes you are right Jessica made him do good stuff for a few episodes and it was working until she chose not to anymore, but then again she can never trust him...If he had been alive and somehow decided to joind the good guys infinity war would've ended in a second and we wouldn't have a movie.. just like the fact that dr. strange could have trapped thanos in a time loop like he did with dormamu but didn't do it coz it seems the easy way and again we wouldn't have a movie

I have fond memories of Doctor. Who conventions from YEARS ago. Colin Baker was so lovely to his fans, and he remembered each one. I'd seen him several times over the span of years, and he'd sneak me into the VIP sessions, or sit down next to me (when not on stage) at the 'caberets' the actors used to put on.

As many people will know, James's first story on Doctor Who (The Lodger) was an adaptation of a Doctor Who Magazine comic strip, but the original version featured the tenth Doctor and Micky Smith (instead of Craig Owens-James's character) . So there could've been a line in the TV version:11th Doctor, "Haven't we met before?". Craig, "No I don't think so.". 11th Doctor, "Me neither. Must have been two other people!".

Hey now! Many Americans grew up with Doctor Who since the show began. I used to sit and watch it with one of my Moms best friends he was Scottish/Irish. I knew it was a jackpot even as a toddler, I wouldn’t move until it was over. When the reboot came I was over the moon with happiness. Thanks to My moms friend Roddy I’ve been a whovian since the start in the 60’s.
