Every time I watch him play a role I have to readjust the next time I see him in a different role, or see him interviewed, because it's like a completely different person. And he's so good at it that when I'm watching it doesn't really feel like acting so it's a jolt every time I'm reminded how completely unlike that person he really is.
I totally hear this. My dad was also always away for work, and the tenth doctor (and Russell T. Davies through his utterly humane writing) taught me so much about being a person, being good to others, and recognising the extraordinary in ordinary people. I credit so much of my love of humanity to that show, I'm so grateful to have had it at such a formative time in my life, glad you had it too
I had the same; dad worked a lot to give us a decent life and so Christopher Eccleston became mine. Especially because they basically have the same personality but Eccleston is Northern and my dad is Southern
Okay question. I want to watch doctor who and start with David's season but like I dont know what to search on google to find it. I tried a bunch of different searches but couldnt like get it. Can yall help out?
I have never met him, but this idea of David Tennant is who I aspire to be - a good man, who is kind, funny and charismatic, with no ego. I aspire to be this. I sometimes succeed. The cynic in me doesn’t often believe in people, especially these days, with so many scandals, but I choose to believe in David Tennant.
The Proclaimers are his favourite band. The benefit album he sang on last year he covered another one of their songs. I believe it's even more beautifully sung by him than the original even.
He's a great fan of theirs and did a video with them where the whole team of Doctor Who - in front and behind the camera - lipsynced to 500 miles. It's somewhere around RUclips.
I just found the full show! They actually had a singer perform it with the proclaimers right before they announced that David was getting the award. They basically said it was a clue!
I wish there were more like him. What an inspiration. What a wonderful person. It is rare for me to get this thrilled and emotional over someone getting an award, but I feel rewarded when I see this.
Such a lovely man. The best Doctor in my book. He was great in Good Omens and his acting in Broadchurch was absolutely amazing! Versatility at its finest 😊
David Tennant deserved this award so much . He’s a truly amazing actor and I look up to him as my role model. David Tennant is the best actor of all time with Gerald butler :)🎉 and Liam neeson :)
Oh wow before 3:28 I bet that Georgia thought that it was impossible to love David more than she already did, but in that moment I think she fell even deeper inlove haha!
just re watched jessica jones season 1 before i watched this reaction+acceptance :p ofc he is the best doctor, the 10th, but it felt weird as he looked just like Kilgrave being accepted :P , was this award show during the filming of Jessica Jones?
I'd guess just after. JJ started in November 2015, the awards ceremony was in January - and he would also have had to do some promo for Broadchurch 2 which started in January 2015. Or maybe just before. Filming takes a while, but with most of these American shows that last more or less the whole year (say Arrow &Co.) they usually film until well after the show started - and Killgrave was a fairly big part. He was mostly on his own, though, if I remember correctly, so it may have been quicker. I've been an extra on a few things, and once the Assistant Directors said they'd be lucky to get 5 minutes of material in 8-10 hours of filming - now, it obviously depends on how long the scenes are and how many people are in them (not to mention stunts, animals and special/visual effects). So you can imagine how long it takes to finish anything.
Chris should get one too, he brought Doctor Who to the world and was great as the first doctor after the time war, angry and dangerous but wanting to do good.
@@tdurb0 yeah you might haha but I'd say if you keep it to a moderate amount or watch it a few episodes during a long time you'd ease into the fandom and it won't hit as hard
@@tyraboden2800 I tell you what. I’ll ease into Doctor Who via Eccleston, who is also someone I make time to watch anything he’s in. I don’t mind Tennant either to be fair, he’s watchable in Broadchurch. I’ll let you know (assuming they’re on iPlayer!) Edit: spelling fail
No offense mate, but there are people I've "known" for 20+ years that I don't recognize. Facebook is constantly showing me people who "know" me from forever ago apparently yet I haven't the slightest as to who they are. 100s of common friends. Same hometown. And I don't remember or recognize them. Doesn't make me a horrible person; just makes me human.
They could not have given that award to a more deserving, talented, lovely actor.
I whole heartily agree with you!!!
I concur
mashallah tbark allah alhamdulillah inshallah better astaghfirullah
me too
John simm and David Tennant are both 2 very special and precious actors alive
3:36 “I’m gonna dedicate this to my dad” his voice when he says dad broke me :(
That's because he was sick and passed away short after this. You can see how emotional he gets when his dad got on the screen.
im still sobbing
Ohh he's so flustered... What a beautiful human being.
i would be
mashallah tbark allah alhamdulillah inshallah better astaghfirullah
You totally buy into every character he plays - you know it’s David Tennant but he’s such a versatile actor and an absolute angel
He's an absolute angel, but plays a really good demon lol
Every time I watch him play a role I have to readjust the next time I see him in a different role, or see him interviewed, because it's like a completely different person. And he's so good at it that when I'm watching it doesn't really feel like acting so it's a jolt every time I'm reminded how completely unlike that person he really is.
I remember being deathly afraid of him as Kilgrave in Jessica Jones after only seeing him in Doctor Who and forgetting he was in Goblet Of Fire
@@OptimusGPrime Well I wouldn't say "good demon". He's a demon yeah, but he's really half-assing his job.
His performance in Broadchurch was one of the performances of the ages.
Yes yes.. He s so so talented..
Broadchurch is the show of David and Olivia. Very rare to such chemistry between leads
Ever.
Bird and Bee Academy Agreed. He was fabulous.
I'm actually watching that at this very minute. Broadchurch and Shetland are my 2 all-time favs, as well as DT and "Jimmy Perez!" ❤❤❤❤❤
“My family… who make everything possible, but much more importantly make everything worthwhile”. David makes himself easy to love.
My heart melted when he mentioned Georgia and his dad😍😍
My heart melted as soon as he opened his mouth
I adore Georgia, she's simply amazing - but I can't think of a single reason why she'd be better off in my life than his. DT is a definite keeper.
His Scottish accent is enlightening.
You can literally hear David Tennant fighting back tears in his speech, especially when he spoke about his dad, I absolutely love this man so much
This sounds strange but because my dad worked in London and I didn't see him much, The tenth doctor became my second dad. And this is so special.
You know, whoever you are, I hope you meet him someday.
Aw, bless you

David Tennant: best doctor ever! i'm in middle of watching the tenth doctor and i'll be extremely sad when it's time for him to regenerate!
Yes, exactly, trust me you will be
His outstanding performance can't have made it easier
I don't want to go

He is the best actor of his generation, if not any generation. What a lovely man.
I do so agree with this comment
I love the fact that he reflects the whole thing back on to others, when it's him, deservedly, that got the award!!
He's one of our national treasures
God, I'm crying. Where can I find one of him?
Just him! 😃
yes please
you can’t ☹️
David is taken, unfortunately.
Nowhere else
Gosh he deserves this award and many more...wow i love him

His and Graham Norton’s awards are just the best. Both get me every time.
I’m crying 6 years later what an amazing man 🤍

#MyDoctor indeed
Fitting musical selection, quintessentially Scottish, and kinda perfect for the doctor, who has walked and ran so many miles.
And they played it as his doctor who wrap party :)

Won an award and only thought to thank everyone else, we don’t deserve him

Haha I'm sooooo with you there. And I just started watching this guy in film & television.
Best Dr Who ever.
Doctor

I'm Scottish so I didn't notice his accent until the comments :)
I'm Asian, I don't notice when he changes accent. 😅 Sounds the same.
Unless he's gone full 'Takin Over the Asylum' accent. That's some heavy Scottish.
I'm American and I've seen him in so many roles and videos that I don't notice the accent anymore
Same I'm Scottish too
There is honestly no one else it should have gone to
I'd let him in my living room without the telly...
I‘ve seen this so many times. Seeing him being pronounced and this speech is even more heartbreaking now that his father has passed 😭
I’m crying like I rarely ever cry, but he just feels like the best, purest human being, and he deserves all the possible praise for it✨
The voice wobble when he dedicates it to his dad made me cry 😭
The most deserving award I’ve ever seen given in my entire life.
You bloody deserved that award David.A a great actor and a decent man.
David is just so sweet and so nice! Now he's got to teach classes in how to be a decent human being to the 99% of the other celebrities who aren't.

Laura JellyBean I was waiting for Catherine Tate
And Freema Agyeman
But it's a real drag when people start listing everyone they ever worked with, and he realises that. He surely talked to them afterwards
