I got my lite today and I'm honestly liking it more than I thought. The material they used for the case and the contrast of the white buttons makes it so appealing. I find myself using my switch in handheld more than anything even when sitting on my couch so the lite was perfect for me. The connected joycons and the lighter weight of the lite makes it such better handheld experience. Plus the smaller screen with the same resolution and more yellowed screen makes it sooo nice to replay botw or all the great indies

It feels like they really thought about people having multiple Joy-Con they’ll switch out with each other, and thus having they Joy-Con being the customizable part with all the different colours. With the Switch Lite being a singular unit, having it come in different colours makes more sense than it does for the standard Switch. Though, I do wish there were more dock varients.

I love the turquoise color, but I do like the light grey special addition because of the different blue and pink buttons. I’m probably still going to buy the turquoise though. However if they made a switch lite in a cherry blossom pink I’d have a much harder decision to make cause DAYUM that would be pretty🌸

Agreed about the yellow. Maybe they should have used black buttons for the contrast. Would've looked cool like the Dandelion yellow GBC I used to have. That's why I settled for the turquoise Lite. Also, Nintendo almost never puts out a red console on the first run. I think it's because they expect it to catch the attention of late adopters when they do release it.
Picked up the turquoise Switch Lite with Link’s Awakening today. I’m a big fan of how cloud saves are working so far! Haven’t had any issues playing between my normal Switch and the Lite :) love it!
I have the blue/turquoise one and I honestly felt like the pictures are very different to the actual console itself, with lighting it looks turquoise without lighting it looks almost green, a similar colour to BMO from adventure time, I’m swapping it for the yellow as it seems like a nicer more banana colour, would recommend the coral switch however as it’s a super nice and eye pleasing colour.
Out of all of them the turquoise just look so good! Tho months of use will prove how it holds up. If they had a Link’s awakening theme lite, I would buy it instantly. Let’s all hope they do something for the lites with the BOTW game.
I remember when I bought the Gameboy Color Lime Green it was my first Gameboy. I had a red/silver Gameboy Advance, Gameboy DS, and a blue Gameboy DSI. I wanted a color that was different, and looked kind of 90's so I picked the yellow Switch Lite. It would be nice if they did neon, and transparent colors again. The special editions they did based on old videogame consoles are nice to. The coral is a nice color, but would look off on some games I'm playing.
The Gray one is better because soon they will be new back panels and you can have a different colourd one but you can't change the front so the grey one is plane and looks better with different back panels
Tbh, the reason I didn't buy one. Nintendo never publicly addressed those concerns, so I won't buy one until they do. I've had significant problems with joycon drift in the past. Sometimes it takes ~6 months for problems for drifting to become apparent, so it might take some time before reports about drifting surface.

The tech in the PS Vita is from 2012 its 2019 know. I would not say ahead of it's time because many PS3 and Xbox 360 games could not come to the PS Vita because it was not powerful enough. PS Vita was only 1/3 the power of the PS3 so in reality it was closer to the Wii and OG Xbox than the PS3 and Xbox 360. The Switch is getting big Triple A games and is a 7.5 generation console power wise.
I think the vita could've have done way better if it they didn't used overpriced proprietary memory cards they could've done better, even if just a little bit.

I had the blue lite but grey is more adult look for me when you play mature games like resident evil you need dark tone to give gameplay atmosphere more of a dark look for me.
I really hope we have more switch lite designs like the 2ds and 3ds. Nintendo has to realize how much money there is to make, there are people that will collect every special edition (including me).

I got mine today and I’m super happy! I don’t own an original switch, I’ve just used my cousins from time to time and it’s fun multiplayer, but using the original switch is just to big for my hands. I am so happy I went with the lite. It’s perfect for my hand size and the screen is pretty good idk why other reviews have kinda complained about it .
Maybe it will help (it's my first console like this in my life and I'm not a kid anymore): I bought a yellow one because I love this color, but after taking it out of the box it turned out that my eyes hurt from it :) The color is really lovely, but when playing it very distracted from the screen. I did a factory reset and took the console to the store and took the gray one. It's perfect for me. It looks good, the darker color makes it appear shapier (smaller) and is not so much associated with the appearance of the toy. And most importantly: while playing, nothing distracts our attention and it turned out that it was very important to me. I didn't have turquoise in my hands, but you can guess that the effect will be between yellow and gray. Summing up: if you want to focus on playing and you don't care about different colors from others - buy a gray one. If you want some color in life - take turquoise. In my opinion, the yellow console is only for those who are really sure that it should be THIS color.

5:32 just a warning with attachable switch skins they will likely scratch the switch's casing even ruin the switch's label on the back. use skins at your own risks if you like to keep your switch in mint condition.
Also idk if I'm alone on this but weirdly enough I love the rounded edges of the lite. The 3ds was kinda hard to play because it was just built completely out of sharp edges and misaligned case plates.
Save up. Give up snacks and sweets for a while. Try homemade foods while you save up. Get a part time job too. In like few months, you will able to get enough money without breaking the bank or give up your rent money to Nintendo Switch Lite. Don’t worry, you can do it.

I picked up the switch lite the day it came out. I've not played the OG switch for more than 10 minutes, so I can't really compare, but I can really say that I really love the switch lite. I don't need the dock, I don't need the joy cons, I prefer handheld. I honestly could not put it down all weekend. I picked up the blue lite, and thinking that it might be intrusive to the games I'm playing, it really wasn't. If you're looking to get into the switch, and don't care about docking/sharing, the switch lite is perfect. One thing I wish was included was vibration, for games like Rocket League, but not a deal breaker.

@@ZackSNetwork for mobile gaming, Vita was ahead of it's time. The fact that it had an OLED screen in 2012 when most phones and even the current Switch doesn't even have OLED screens today.
I had the blue lite but grey is more adult look for me when you play mature games like resident evil you need dark tone to give gameplay atmosphere more of a dark look for me.

I got mine today and I’m super happy! I don’t own an original switch, I’ve just used my cousins from time to time and it’s fun multiplayer, but using the original switch is just to big for my hands. I am so happy I went with the lite. It’s perfect for my hand size and the screen is pretty good idk why other reviews have kinda complained about it .

I bought a yellow one because I love this color, but after taking it out of the box it turned out that my eyes hurt from it :)
The color is really lovely, but when playing it very distracted from the screen.
I did a factory reset and took the console to the store and took the gray one.
It's perfect for me.
It looks good, the darker color makes it appear shapier (smaller) and is not so much associated with the appearance of the toy.
And most importantly: while playing, nothing distracts our attention and it turned out that it was very important to me.
I didn't have turquoise in my hands, but you can guess that the effect will be between yellow and gray.
Summing up: if you want to focus on playing and you don't care about different colors from others - buy a gray one.
If you want some color in life - take turquoise.
In my opinion, the yellow console is only for those who are really sure that it should be THIS color.

5:32 just a warning with attachable switch skins they will likely scratch the switch's casing even ruin the switch's label on the back. use skins at your own risks if you like to keep your switch in mint condition.

Also idk if I'm alone on this but weirdly enough I love the rounded edges of the lite. The 3ds was kinda hard to play because it was just built completely out of sharp edges and misaligned case plates.

I picked up the switch lite the day it came out. I've not played the OG switch for more than 10 minutes, so I can't really compare, but I can really say that I really love the switch lite. I don't need the dock, I don't need the joy cons, I prefer handheld. I honestly could not put it down all weekend. I picked up the blue lite, and thinking that it might be intrusive to the games I'm playing, it really wasn't.
If you're looking to get into the switch, and don't care about docking/sharing, the switch lite is perfect.
One thing I wish was included was vibration, for games like Rocket League, but not a deal breaker.

I like yellow but I realized that it's like looking at a tv screen/ipad with black vs white bezels. You notice the bezels with a brighter color but not with a bland color like grey/black
