I think the Barbie who got the "easy updo" is a Clara/Sugarplum Fairy doll from Barbie in the Nutcracker movie from 2001.
I also recently got the Happy Family Midge, just without her pregnant belly.

These girls came out fabulous! The 2 that got at my heart strings are the pregnant Midge and the Skipper doll. Don't get me wrong, you did fantastic on all of them, but poor Midge has always come in 2nd like a poor stepchild, and her being pregnant really kind of made her an outcast. Which I never understood because lots of women have babies, and it is a natural process.
The 2nd was Skipper. It was years before I found out that a tall adult like Skipper existed, and so I really loved that she grew up naturally versus the growing chest one. That one was weird imo. Lol.
I just wish Mattel would evolve and make Barbies parents like they did for Midge. As usual you never fail or disappoint in your makeovers. I love that up do and that you showed us how to di it cause I was wondering how. Thank you for that!! Love your videos. They bring me sunshine on our cloudy, cold, dark, and dreary Georgia days. Thank you, and keep up your magnificent work and love for Barbie. I still have my daughters pregnant Midge and her family.

43:30 girl that updo just saved my black ‘96 Winter Fantasy! She was a fixer-upper and I mussed up her hair trying to back comb it and had no idea what I was gonna do after that failed! She looks like a queen now!

There's almost nothing more fun and relaxing than doing spa days for thrifted dolls. I admit I was a bit shocked to see you dry brushing the kanekalon hair! Sometimes it's so tangled it's not gonna budge without conditioner!
My favorite lewk is the kawaii Skipper! She deserves a great look after caring for quadruplets!
Well I found that if you dry brush kanekalon hair first it won’t shed that much! 🤓

I like fantasy hair barbie and pregnant Midge the best! Where did you get the lavender dress that fantasy hair barbie is wearing? It's so cute! I had Coolsitter Teen Skipper as a kid. All my childhood barbies are stored at my mom's house still. Teen Skipper was a favorite of my barbies as a kid.

I always wanted a teen skipper, I had a different pregnancy 11-inch doll which gave you a boy and girl baby that both fit in the belly, it had a battery so when you wanted her to have her babies there would be baby cries.

I think one issue (besides the controversy) of the pregnant Midge doll was those very strong and very little magnets that are hazardous for small children, I think I remember toys being recalled because of that. Love your videos!
There was also "controversy" about the fact that the first wave of pregnant midge dolls didnt come with a painted on ring and so parents were getting up in arms that it was "promoting teen pregnancy/ unwed mothers" which was stupid. They fixed it in further editions by painting on a ring and adding a lil cardboard cut out of Allan to the box

The McDonald's skipper was in a time where you could work at about 14 with parent permission. I had my first job at 15. My youngest loved the Happy Family and had almost every single doll and playset. Even then I thought the controversy around that doll was ridiculous. Midge was married in the 80s people! Also, I'm pretty sure the first princess doll you show in the close ups was Barbie from the 12 Dancing Princesses. My youngest had her as well. The make up really looks like her. Plus, I feel like most if not all of the princess collection had the older Barbie body but I could be wrong.
