I always wondered why Zero never smiles in the Zero series. We seen him smile in the X series, but never in this series. It seems that he forgotten how to smile as what the song translates which is really sad. I can imagine him remembering how to smile in Zero 4's ending as he destoys Weil's core and dies in the explosion.
I can see why the song has a calming effect, given its strong themes of hope and optimism. Everlasting's lyrics are all about Zero letting go of the past and bidding the good Doctor Wily a heartfelt farewell while embracing a brighter, better future.
I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate... If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!
People wonder why I say mega man is my favorite video game series. I tell them about the absolutely amazing gameplay and the outstanding story. They find it hard to believe but I stand by it. I tell them about the absolutely fantastic community and people, as well as the love and effort put into the games. (Except X7). I find it amazing how I can play a game featuring a little blue boy, slowly but surely evolving into his namesake, and get to something truly beautiful as seeing the heart and soul being formed in robots, as well as the amazing efforts of two specific robots. X and Zero are forever in my top 5 video game characters list. And X4, 2, and Zero 3 are without a doubt 3 of the best games I’ve ever played.
I know, it's your personal opinion, but X7's story wasn't that bad. Localisation just... didn't handle it right so it all feels like a cash grab with not really good of a new character. And the game itself is not that good too, although I had fun playing it anyway. I swear, they were trying with X7. And it's more of Axl's title than X's (like X4 was kinda a Zero's title (at least it felt like that to me) and X6 had a lot of Alia moments that no one was asking (I mean "no one was asking" because I doubt anyone really wanted to know who she was before becoming Navigator. I wasn't asking questions, but I liked what I saw in X6, it was interesting) ) It's just the interesting details of Axl's past at Red Alert and Red's backstory weren't translated. And what was officially translated is just... I don't know what to say.
For such a bittersweet finale to X’s story, this is such an optimistic song. I hope this means he has a chance to see the world he fought for finally flourishing from cyberspace even if he can’t materialize on it anymore.
This is what X would have wanted from the start, sacrificing himself for the sake of the world getting peace with humans and reploids walking together to forge a new era, he deserved to rest after battling over a century and while his physical body is no more, his legacy will live on
I don't think this could be from any other point of view, however I respect the opinion of any differing patron. "I've found my true self" "Reset the puzzle of mystery" These are all leading to how Zero remembers who he was in MMX, and learns that "even if he body is not his own, his heart is still Zero". I think it's just capcom trying to make a deep story, and doing it right. Now a days we only have "FUCK YOU" for "Dark writing" for "A mature audience". What are WE fighting for?
Welcome the new word! No need to fight~ Goodbye yesterday. With all of my heart! I always sing that part when i get up in the morning. Hello morning goodbye yesterday!
Maybe, but that last battle made him a legend. Becoming the savior of humanity itself. And in a spectacular twist of irony lettiing Dr. Wily have the last laugh on Dr. Light, with his creation suceeding in what X only made worse and worse.
On other hand, Wily will be happy that he was right about robots being the heroes of anyone remember the old college debate. I.e Zero the final hope of humanity and machines itself. Light isn’t wrong about Wily being chalk full of ironies.
The fact Dr Wily wanted to be viewed as a hero originally before he became the evil scientist we all know is what ironically his ultimate creation became in the end.
Ya know, this could have been a good song for either extended credits of Zero 4, All Games Clear credits of Zero Collection, or for a special credits of Zero/ZX Legacy Collection.
@@agenericguy1014 man at this point we just need to hope they still care about mega man. @@ViralityCheck005 Thing is, most companies dont' want to waste money on new games because the audience for it isn't totally there. I really want to animate a Megaman Zero fan anime series but I need to practice a few things first, if I do end up making it this will definitely be one of the openings.
This song says so much about Zero and his existence, being the everlasting warrior who never hesitates in killing his enemies and gradually forming his beliefs over time and fighting to bring peace despite not even being made with true sentience.

Thats all true...I dont actually see wats the point on making a game with no sense, those things happen a lot with shooters. One of the reasons i love mmz is the story it has.And thanks for the translation,i couldnt understand anything(like everyone).
"Welcome the new world, no need to fight. Goodbye, yesterday, with all of my heart." The words hit much deeper and tragic as you realize how long X and Zero had been fighting for peace between humans and Reploids, but X eventually no longer gave a damn after fighting for a century alone and ended up retiring to Cyberspace, and Zero struggling to come to terms with his past and the truth behind his creation, eventually bidding farewell to his past as he moves on to the future.
And to think this whole series was rated "EVERYONE". It even had blood taken out for this purpose. I really doubt any child would be able to understand its storyline. It is really pitiful how games with deep storylines are overlooked and replaced by empty ones. After all, nowadays games are only hollow shells with nothing more than "fanservice" to lure the players, instead of story and ideals that would really get them deeply involved.
You pretty much summed up all of life. Kids are into cool stuff Adults are into money and secrate acts But then again there are some people who would risk it all for one indivisual, they may be stupid but i'm gonna go with them all the way 🤗
In the Resistance Base there is Old Andrew a Reploid who was married to a Human Woman the Woman grew older but Andrew didn't his Wife started to hate her own looks so Andrew got himself modified to look older so relationships between Humans and Reploids exist also Reploids are Robots who feel and think like humans some can even get tired and need to sleep like a human so a relationship between Zero and Ciel would have been possible.
I find it poetically bittersweet that this song was sung by Zero’s Voice Actor. It was said that Reploid’s cannot sing, because their voice chip can’t emulate it. This song’s meaning is longing for peace that he felt he had finally achieved. Peace with himself, even after destroying his original body. So it became sort of a pipe dream, but also…. not, because he had done the impossible.
