Dude, you are rapidly becoming my fav VanStar on this platform. I have a 2004 Sienna with 250k miles. You make solid points. Also, the drive shaft cam-🔥Pure fire. Great episode. 👍 👍
Your Van is your home, so no different than doing nay maintenance around your house. This is exactly why I really like your channel, real and not all dressed up!
I went ahead and joined the channel membership for a dollar (and made sure to make a calendar entry for a month from now as suggested). I really enjoy your content and hope the 30 members in 30 days works out. Good luck!
Thanks for your practical advice and inspiration! Working on an old hiace and amazed at the toolset you've packed for on-road (or rather off-road?) maintenance. For those trying to help Max, it's NOT the 'Thanks' button on the right but the 'Join' button on the left side.
I've just joined! I appreciate the videos showing you fixing the van. I've got an old Toyota van too but I don't know a fraction of what you know in regards to fixing cars and stuff 😂
Giving the people what we want to see!! Thanks for the motivational content. I recently had my ECU recapped twice by Vanlife Northwest. As much as I love those guys if I were to do it again I'd go through someone who does more than just recaps the capacitors, once they leak it's likely they also damage the board.
I sent Vanlife Northwest an email and they never replied to me lol, so I'm going to try to do it myself. Thankfully I think I caught this before too much damage is done. At worst I think I will have one trace to repair 🤞

You have some serious troubleshooting skills there. Most YT van dwellers can't change their oil.. Were you a mechanic in your past life? Impressive that you even carry a makeshift press with you.
I hear u about knowing ur vehicle. I'm on the road too & I took it to 2 mechanic places. Both told me all looks good & they even drove my car & still found nothing wrong. I hear a knock, clicking as I turn & brake. When I get to a home base place, I'm going to check my CVBoots and the point. How did u record ur U joint running under ur car? Did u set or take it phone to record it? I hv a 2005 Honda Element that has just hit 100k. Still my young baby. 😊 I hate the tech company. That RUclips is so greedy, 30% is what I understand they take from chats. Great that u r able to fix the shaft. ,👏🏽👍🏽
I had a similar issue with my Transit Connect. No mechanic could figure it out either. At some point I think you have to accept older vehicles just make weird noises sometimes too. I have a magnetic mount for my gopro for the vehicle mounted shots.
@@dustyodyssey Thx u Chris. U have lots of great tips. U r 1 of my favorite to watch about cars. ☺️ The noise I'm hearing is something wrong. But u r right, eventually old vehicles will make noises.
Really enjoying the content. I had my van die while driving and checked the ECU. I didn’t see any leaking caps, but had it done anyway. I haven’t had any problems since. I kind of wish I had done it myself but I’m not the greatest at soldering. Looking forward to seeing you tackle that
I get a member ship, for 0,99€, it says that from that 16% are taxes. So, youtube get only 0,83€, you even less, i hope you dont have to pay taxes again for that.
How long did you live in the ford transit CONNECT ? What happened to it ? Also ❤please check under your ❤"I LIVE IN THIS VAN" ❤video, ❤because somebody who is a mechanic and has easy access to parts for your vehicle offered to help you get parts if you ever need it. 🍀🍀☀️🍀🍀 where do your parents live, you're lucky to have a place to work on the van, and family to help. Don't worry, Hearts only trying to get your attention. Lol 😅
Mission Accomplished! Thanks for signing up everyone. We reached 30 members this morning. Don't forget to cancel your membership! 😁
I didn't know all of this about losing so much of the donation money, and a better way to help. 8:06
Actually - so glad to learn what RUclips does to/for its creators. I've always wondered how much gets into my favorite peeps' pockets.

Your mechanical skills are impressive. In the middle of the desert no less. Great job. My Tundra might need work.

Oh my gawd I just had this same problem 😂 wish I could’ve fixed it myself. Probably because of the Dempster highway dirt too.
Oh no! That road is crazy 😅

Is everyone out to make the all mighty dollar.. what a state of mind..l think if you get up and in great health...best gift of all

Thanks! Will do!
In this case, the best way is to donate to a paypal account , don’t you think? Didn’t know they take so much ! thanks for the information.

Can you link the forums you resource? :) thanks!!
It's the Toyota Hiace Owners North America forum on Facebook. I don't like facebook but it appears to be the most active forum on these vans in NA.
@@dustyodyssey thanks!!
