Funny thing is that the plot is not that creative it was just too bold to ever be tried by a writer. Flipping the protagonist is the antagonist and the villain had heroic motives is nothing new in comic lines previously tackled by authors but this was so hard to pull of in the bat mythos cause it had 80 years of history I'm in awe of the set the story and after a long while I actually liked characters that I previously didn't as much I liked bullock, harleen, and Barbara as batgirl, I truly love the costume design and liked that jack was realistic. Sean gordan is amazing and I cannot wait for his next work after curse of the white knight.

This series is worth getting it just on the art alone, my god is Sean Murphy an incredible artist, I haven't seen an artist fit Batman so perfectly since Capullo.
One of the reasons that I find this storyline enjoyable is that it finally sort of cleans up the Harley Quinn situation that DC brought upon themselves. The sequels to the series was also enjoyable as well as it showcased ORIGINAL Harley's part in these stories.
I consider Jack Napier as the real name of the Joker with 'The Killing Joke' having the origin of the main DC Universe. I loved Joaquin Phoenix's 'Joker' but I consider that film to be an alternative Universe separate from the main DC Universe. I like 'Batman: White Knight' and I wish DC Animation made an animated film based on it. I will consider that comic to define the two characters in 2010s after the DCEU failed.
Here's the thing he wasn't called Jack Napier in The Killing Joke Just Jack the Napier part came from Batman 89 and was adopted into elseworlds comic books for the Joker and Batman the Animated Series but it was never truly used in the main DC universe.
Man, I love this video.this comic really got to me and made me look at the whole gotham mythos in a completely different way and really got to me emotionally. This video brought back a lot of strong emotions
It really s one of the finest batman stories out there. To top it off it's second part is also good and follows up on a lot of the established story elements that white knight set up.
I think that one of the things that I like so much about the story of White Knight is that, while there are alternate realities in which the roles of villains and heroes are completely reversed (for example, look at earth 3's crime syndicate, as they and this earth's version of Luthor are shown in the movie of "A crisis between two earths"), in the story of White Knight, instead of already making The Joker good and Batman the bad, they instead give more focus to the other, not as focused sides of each one of these characters, while also not changing the fact that Batman was a hero, and Joker was villain. Instead, the story pushes to explore elements of both characters in a way that makes us think "hey, why aren't we talking about THIS aspect of the character more?". This is a very refreshing aspect of Murphy's White Knight universe, and I would like to see more of it in the future 😁.
I absolutely agree! Now that it finished, you should really do Curse of the White Knight, the sequel. It goes all out, even more than this. Both are modern classics.

It's good with it's weakest spot being Harley Quinn (the real one) being written in that response to how classic Harley used to be way where it's just not Harley anymore. Thing about HQ is she's not mature nor intelligent, canonically she blew/banged her teachers to get a degree, she's meant to be the equivalent of Joker in where he's not an agent of choas but a Jerk, a troll but actually pulls of his threats and wants she is an immature impulsive kid in a bombshell body. Would have probably enjoyed the book more if they Did the JOKER thing where they add OCs to fill roles and purpose but keep cores and absolute necessary characters. Just a healthy mix of new and familiar. Just look at Duke. EWW.
I don't like it. It's not that simple - "oh uhh the joker just needs to get his pills lol" - no, the joker is not a mental condition, it's a state of mind and an existential outlook! And the writers had Bruce act way out of character and generally be a total moron for the sake of Jack being the better man.. Not to mention Harley's much simplified and cartoonified situation that results from all of this

My guess they had a talk with the Mad Hatter to control the villains, interesting he is no where to be found though. Also you mention they use clayface to control the villains you forgot to mention about how they had to do it. They used Mad Hatter's tools to do so, because the Mad Hatter is (I believe) the only one who knows how to control peoples minds
Seeing as how they're set to make a sequel to 'Joker', maybe they should draw from elements of this, especially if they continue the themes of class warfare.
You have to suspend your disbelief considering even if Joker is now sane he is still a mass murderer so people complaining about property damage vs being okay with all the things Joker has done is a bit strange, but for the story they are telling and being set outside continuity, it works and was a really fascinating premise. he doesnt do as much as bruce wayne in this story. for ur last point tho, I think one of the news reporters said that they all showed up after him, implying he caused them to.
It’s OK, though. This is a “multiverse” one of the MANY earths destroyed in CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS …
it’s not part of the canon, neither should it be. It’s OK. DC continuity should really try bringing back POST CRISIS 2008-9 … so many reboots make comics trash ..
Take that Tom King that is how you make Alfred’s death meaningful and not just shocking.
alfred's death was more of didio's fault than tom king's. tom king didn't want to write the death of Alfred; the "death" was suppose to be a fake out.
