The fact they can still leave a voicemail to take up your voicemail space is stupid. How can we block them completely? Things like this are important but apple is worried about updating nonsense like music or camera features, nothing business or educationally based.
Apple has no control over your voicemail. Voicemail is handled by your phone carrier, ask them to block the number if it’s a problem. Apple just hooks in to an api and pulls data from your carrier, that’s why some aren’t supported.

Do blocked FTs ring 11x and then show the normal "Facetime unavailable" sign, or do they ring literally indefinitely (like, several minutes if the blocked caller could tolerate it) with no indication that FT is unavailable? Thank you!

I looked at it later on in the day and it turned to green and said sent as text message. I’m not sure if I’m blocked but it’s always gone through as blue and said delivered until today.
It really depends on the user. If the person you are messaging is an android user the bubble will always be green and you will not be able to see any sort of delivery notification underneath the message. If the person you are sending the message to is an iPhone user who is using iMessage for texting, there is a very good chance you may have been blocked but I’m not 100% sure. It could also mean that you had some sort of a bad signal and it sent it through an SMS instead of a regular iMessage. I know that sometimes I’ll send a message and it shows delivered and two minutes later I will be in an area with little to no cell phone reception and delivered message changes to say message failed to send and asks me to try again. I just send a message to someone last night and they read the message and replied back to me. This morning when I got up, I went and reply to their message and it shows a blue bubble, but it doesn’t say delivered or send or anything. So I am guessing I may be blocked but I’m not 100% sure.

One issue I’ve noticed is if you forward calls even blocked calls get forwarded.

Go to your settings- phone- and you should see a blocked contacts option.
