Dude, how the hell did you turn that TA-152 into the Felon at the end of Top Gun Maverick? I swear you hit that kvochur bell move when that surprise P-47 started shooting you
How do you think the Me262 would fare against the MiG-15? Both got some big guns and decent speed, and they're almost contemporaries. Dunno... could be fun?
Ta152 is such an amazing looking plane along with the FW190. The cockpit visibility is pretty poor, though. Makes you appreciate the bubble canopies of the later Mustangs and Spits.
As good as DCS can look, IL2 is just miles better. The weather effects look real instead of like marshmallow puffs, the flames coming off the exhaust of the radials, the bomber gunner fire that you can actually *see* - SO GOOD
Some people swear that IL-2: Cliffs of Dover is actually the best when it comes to details like that. My personal favourite is B-17 Flying Fortress : The Mighty 8th where every individual round that hits any aircraft will make its own individual hole.
The Fw 190 was one my favorite warbirds. When I was going to college, there was an airshow nearby, so some my friends went over. And there was a guy there with a 1/3 scale Fw 190. It looked so real until got up close. The man who build from scratch (and also the pilot) was there and he told us all about. So cool.

Early on yes. I have a document from 1945 which puts the number on 5 hits. But that’s just the average number and also takes into account planes needing fly back to a base of up to 2h. For some reason these reports only focus on Mineshells while all calibers also had incendiary shells, which were in general as effective or even more so than Mineshells, particular against large aircraft. It was even planed to replace both 30mm Mineshells and Incendiary shells with a single type which combined both into one shell, which cut the explosive content in half for having an additional incendiary capsule in the back. But I think this shell was designed for the improved MK 108 with increased RoF.

I’ve just started playing IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad in VR (around 7 hours) and it is infinitely more impressive to me the degree of smoothness and dexterity with which you’re able to control the aircraft in your videos. Not that it was ever anything but
A joystick extension is really nice in IL-2. Learn your favorite plane and you'll pick up on exactly when it will stall. Most new players pull too hard and too fast on the stick. You have to build into the turn instead of yanking all at once.
3 vs 1 killing all 3. Nice! And 18:02 I know this was unintentional but tell me this didn't look like the cobra move from Top Gun Maverick. lol Great vid as always. Well done sir.
