Nigel did NOT look impressed with the 303 rounds. True, he didn't actually SAY anything... ...but his expression spoke volumes! Loved this entire mission/sortie... Thanks.
Dude, this new map is looking great. Can't wait to try it out. Also, VR seems to really make a difference. Could you maybe make a video about settings and models? Thanks anyway, GS!
Thr screaming ejected pilots make me laugh every time...and yep...I know how that sounds 🤣...cant help it...perhaps I need help...I need to load up IL2 again...
@@EvoraGT430 He joined USN and ended up with Night Fighter - 101 (Corsairs) on the Enterprise and then (for lack of a better term - conscripted) to the RAF 63 Squadron (Mosquito).
I love these warbird videos! But every time I see you do a bombing run, I want to see you climb into an A6 Intruder and do some low altitude bomb runs. Thanks for the awesome content!
Fun fact the wood used in the Mosquito came from a small island on the west coast of Canada known as the Queen Charlotte islands (Haida Gwaii). A lake is named after the famous aircraft around which they logged the timber.
The mossy is such a sweet aircraft. I don't know if they model it in 'Battle of Normandy' but the rockets for sea strikes were usually solid heads. Approach from the sides and aim for the waterline. Eight of those rockets is essentially a broadside from a heavy cruiser.
How feasible would differential thrust be with the mosquito's two engines? I know that WW2 props can be quite temperamental, but it would be interesting to see if it can be used at all.
It would cause tons of vibrations. The skill of flying a dual prop plane is tuning the harmonics of the two props to minimize this. As a pilot you are constantly needing to nurse this.
It works but it’s challenging due to the constant speed props. You gotta independently control the manifold pressure and RPM… on a jet you just have to split the throttles lol
During WWII, the odds of hitting a target with a 500lb bomb were approximately 25 to 1. With less than 50 per-cent cloud coverage an average B-17 Fortress Group could be expected to place 32.4% of its bombs within 1000 feet (ca. 305 meters) of the aiming point when aiming visually. The average B-24 Liberator Group under the same conditions could be expected to place 30.4% of its bombs within 1000 feet (ca. 305 meters) of the aiming point.

Hey Brother please do a interception video between su30mki/Rafale vs J11 at Himalayas region. You can use s400 since India, china both use s400. I want to see how bvr missiles, SAM reacted at mountain terrain.
BF-110 VS Mosquito merge-dogfight might be interesting or maybe a Mosquito Night Fighter Mission ... they were said to be quite good for that sort of thing ... Nigel seems a steady hand, good to have on-board ... though he doesn't say much :)
Bombing trains was usually done along the railway line from ahead of the locomotive - it was better to drop short than long as the train would be derailed if the tracks were destroyed ahead of it.
Hey bro love the channel, Try changing the bomb delay to 3 or 4 seconds and you can skip bomb ships and point blank ground targets and have time to fly away before detonation 👍
When playing Luftwaffe campaigns in past flight sims, I hated doing an intercept mission and finding out the targets were Mosquitos. They're so damn fast, I needed to dive on them with the extra speed to catch them. On the level? Good luck. After they dropped their ordnance? Ha!
Have I missed something? Why are there so many comments about 'differential thrust'? If it's a crude reference to something I don't know about, I don't need a full explanation, I just don't understand why so many people are asking about it - even to the point of asking for a video of it over and over again.

Thanks for watching guys what world war 2 aircraft do you want to see in action next?
Definitely a Spitfire!
Messerschmitt Me 262 A or B , Fiat G.55 , Kawanishi N1 K2 Shinden-Kai. Thank you
Please fly The F-82 against The Me262!🙏
What's up, GS? Why don't you show us some of that Tempest action again? Or maybe the soviet fighters in winter camo?
me 262
thanks for every thing bro keep it up

To be fair the 303 rounds managed to clog up the air intake for an engine on the last bomber.

Nigel looked unimpressed after that first 190 kill but I loved it
Nigel just wants to get home to his wife and a cup of tea, he doesn't understand the crazy American's obsession with dogfighting.
Nigel is wondering who in the hell his pilot is talking to, but is keeping calm and carrying on.

Fantastic Mosquito Rockets. Incredible.

Somebody tell Nigel to lighten up. Dude just never smiles.
Air Warrior from the olden days.

Wonderfull Retrô Mosquito Dogfights. Very Interesting.
Nigel's the strong silent type

I love the look of those radium dials on the mosquito.
Brilliant video mate. Love these IL 2 episodes. Would be great to see more. Also the WWI VR episode are great too.

Sweet! My favorite WWII aircraft!
What an amazing aircraft, an engineering marvel.

Good video. Live the WW2 stuff.
How about a video with a 262 against a Mig 15 and or an F-86, or even an F-80.
Ahh... The now common 109 wing off. Their favourite pastime since the DM update.
Nigel was the mvp this mission, no doubt about it
Imagine if the .303's were swapped out with a pair of 50 cals plus the 20mm!
Why was Ben Afleck flying with you😁
Set the sight to bright.
Can you make a video of the F35 vs Su57. Love your videos!!!!!!!!!
Sure you got strafed just as you crossed over the threshold at the end?
Could you do a il2 carreare?
WOODEN WONDER
If the Germans could have come up with mutated termites to use as an anti Mosquito weapon, they might have rendered those aircraft useless.
I'd like your mosquito video better if it was a Me262 sawing it in half
Nigel was far more stoic than Jester who randomly ejects for no reason....lol
Love these “Mossie” fights. My dad flew these (and the Corsair F4U). So this always gets my attention. Thanks as always for the entertaining vids!

Hes like sven, comes with the A/C.
Nigel completely unfazed by the carnage around him, probably thinking of tea and biscuits back at base.
Forget the spitfire, the Mosquito was the most badass British aircraft of WW2.
Hey could you do a Mosquito vs P 38 video? That would be awesome🤙
Unfair...Mosquito stands no chance

Works great on the ground for doing donuts lol.
Doubt it would work in air. Props do more pulling as opposed to jet engines doing more pushing.
