Hi. If you add netting substrate, you can have anywhere from 12 to 50 Prawns in your tank. It also depends on your harvest size too. Less if you want bigger Prawns..

Top 2 horizontal layers of substrate are not being used by shrimp in this vid...is it bcoz of too much light penetration in these layers or is it becoz they are bottom feeders and don't prefer to go to the top of the tank? what's ur observation?
+Greg Cxox Hi Greg. No, I only feed them sinking pellets. Sometime during their adult stage, about 4 inches I would throw in some minnows I get from the bait shop just as a treat..😀

It's because they are feeding. Foods sink to the bottom.
Has nothing to do with the lights.
So once feeding is completed they would return to top 2 layers and rest and moult there right? so that all subsrate is being used effectively?
Kt. Besides the sinking pellets you feed your shrimp , do you feed any other foods?
