Thank you for talking about the Ben Affleck scene and the human aspect of war. I think a lot of issues like PTSD, while maybe not solved, can be abated if people considering combat roles in the military were better educated and mentally prepared for such tragedy.
We do a great job of training our troops to go to war, we suck at bringing our troops home. The military believes they do prepare us for war, they numb us to the killing of the enemy. I know that sounds horrible, but when the enemy is just that “the enemy” they are dehumanized which makes the job easier. We deal with different PTSD issues, for me it was seeing my men killed, for others I know it was killing the enemy which has never bothered me. I know some troops that are more effected by the destruction and civilian casualties they saw. Some that never left the wire, or saw anything that still hear the incoming alarms and wake in sweats trying to run to bunkers. PTSD doesn’t have a one way approach to train or educate against, we never know who’s gonna have it, or when they’re going to break. Destigmatizing PTSD in the Military, especially combat roles is the first step in truly helping the military combat PTSD effectively. Unfortunately PTSD has been, and still is a career killer, and unless you’re already in the senior ranks you can’t admit you have a problem because of you do you get put in staff positions. Staff positions, while necessary for career progression to a degree are also positions you put combat guys you don’t think can do well on the line. Troops with PTSD put in staff positions that aren’t seniors often don’t get required line leader time for career progression ending up moved around staff until they reach mandatory out dates. Even more often when combat troops get a diagnosis of PTSD they are immediately recommended for medical retirement, I fought that myself for six years. Remove the stigma and troops could get the help they need before PTSD takes over their lives, or dead ends their careers. Hell I think a combat leader who’s been through PTSD treatment and returned to the line would be better than just medically retiring the guy, they’d have the tools to identify and talk to their troops about the experience. They’d also know the hole that PTSD is and could help troops get out, unfortunately PTSD therapy is time consuming and costly so I don’t see that being an option for our current military models.
I love how the scene where they find the money and keep finding money, and then realise the entire house is filled with more cash than they can carry, is actually based on reality. Pablo Escobar was making so much money, and getting so much paper currency that it actually became a huge logistical problem for them. They had so much physical cash, that they could never spend all of it and ended up burying most of it. They actually lost money because it rotted away in the ground.
My explanation for the suppressor thing was always just that they had to source all of their stuff in country and not make it look suspicious, and getting a suppressor is way harder than people seem to think
I mean lets be real here , a suppressor wouldn't have helped one bit in that scenario . They are all indoors, every guard except the dude they dropped was already subdued. If they hadn't been taken care off they would be alerted either way by the shot. There are no guards outside the building so there is no point in being quiet anyway. What the dude on the right got right however is that they should've gone in and just dropped them all in the first place :)

My only problem with the movie is why didn't they make 2 trips once they realized they were heavy and in the mountains outside the country. They could have landed made a pile went over then went back and carried on
not sure if you guys are judging from the whole movie or just watching a few snippets of it, they do address the issue with suppressors, its weird they didn't bring that with them however they took down all the other cartel members outside and inside before taking out the last guy who walked out of the hallway. they used non lethal force in the beginning. although suppressors wouldn't be enough to be stealthy considering the 7'62 and 5.56 is going to alert all the people across the house even with suppressors obviously.
Suppressors would work in terms of keeping the concussion down. If you've ever fired a gun indoors, it is a massive boom even if you are trained, even if you have seen combat. That's why today, the US military seems to be shifting to suppressors for frontline infantry. It's still loud but better than deafening loud. My thing is how they landed that helicopter... By all means, the moment they lost that tail rotor, that was it, they could not possibly control that aircraft as well as they portrayed it. Ignoring the member jumping out of the cargo hook hold. How the "professional" pilot handled the aircraft was, actually, dog shit. He should've known to cut all fuel off before hitting dirt, turn off the engines and let the main rotor freewheel and let the main and tail landing gears take the G-Force landing. Considering its a Russian model Mi-8, it was more than capable of passing through the mountain pass too with the load it was carrying (which, considering it was hundred dollar bills, was relatively light compared to having 20's, 10's or even 1's), and if I were to apply the same standard of 32 G's of full actuation on a Black Hawk's dual stage main and tail landing gears, I wouldn't doubt that the Mi-8's could handle that, if not more considering that its a troop transport AND gunship. More importantly, it seems that, if we are accounting for the multiple "hops" it made during its crash, either the pilot or the copilot were grabbing the collective and ramming it up each time, which means they were increasing the rpm of the main rotor, which was preventing them from staying on the friggin' ground. The whole scene kind of rattled me because they did everything you're NOT supposed to do in a crash landing sequence.
And smiling while doing it. I would most likely have been focused with teeth gritted but thats me. Maybe slip a smile in if i thought we where going to live.
Actually (_acshually_) landing a helicopter without a tail or tail rotor or even main engine loss is completely possible. New pilots even train for it, it's called "autorotation". My knowledge of helicopters is less then that of planes so id recommend just googling it to lean more. But needless to say its far more possible to do then most people think.

Have to disagree. A high enemy body count is good for a soldier. But these guys are doing a robbery. The more people they kill the more of a $hit storm they create. A bank robbery doesn't want to kill all the security guards at the bank, he gains nothing except a heavier sentence if he is caught.

newer vehicles are lighter due to fuel economy, so they won't stop military grade rounds like they used to--some LS engines are aluminum blocks. As for a building takedown, you drop in from the top so your opponents feel there's an exit and don't fight cornered--but they run down onto the street and into your second squad. Suppressors trap the gases released by round discharge so they don't run into the wall of air outside the barrel at supersonic speed, but they don't slow down the rounds to subsonic speeds like a silencer. The comment on the fire is spot-on, you cuddle up for body warmth (but of course it's not macho for movies), but yeah the AR comment drops the ball.
Please react to the Siege of Jadotville. Best war movie on Netflix, and probably an interesting case study also. If you haven't seen it, it involves conventional line infantry without big-army support, conducting a defensive action against a numerically superior mixture of contractors and indigenous forces, and also looks at how politics can influence military operations. I figured you'd probably have a lot to say about it.
@@GrowYourOwn13 wasn't really a fan of outpost. Interesting situation, good effects etc, but didn't really do anything to make you care about the characters as people.
Pretty sure pistols will get through both doors. It's just tinsheet and plastic. And I'm fairly sure 5.56 will also get through the engine bay. 7.62 and 308 run through front to back, easy.
I would think a good downpour would give you many potential advantages. Ambient noise to help conceal your own movement is the biggest one, though. Tracking won't be as effective if you're concerned about being hunted. Also, if you're uncomfortable and used to being uncomfortable through training, there's a good possibility the opposition is also uncomfortable, but may be more averse to it, meaning they perform poorly. They may also abandon their post altogether to seek shelter, leaving gaps in security. Also if for whatever reason you're concerned about smells that are foreign to the environment, heavy rain will obscure them. Your enemy may also assume that you consider foul weather a deterrent, meaning it's the perfect time to act. But I'm just some guy on the internet spitballing.

AR does not mean assault rifle. I'm kind of surprised that a green beret does not know that AR stands for armalite rifle. Escape from Tarkov: RAID Better than any movie released by pedowood or shitflix. Produced by a video game developer to promote their game of the same name, but you can tell the film was directed by someone who’s actually traded hate down range. Y’all wont regret it.
You don't want to kill everyone in the house. Buck is thinking like a soldier with the backing of a government. Think more like criminal. If you shoot everyone and authorities connect it back to you then they are looking at you as a mass murderer. The more dead bodies you create the more motivation there is for the government to investigate and potentially extradite you.
Can you please actually go through the entire movie? Some movies you do one or two scenes and that's it, while there is usually so much left we wanna see and hear about.

@@rafaelalodio5116 if the cops dont kill you, you go to jail, if the cartel doesnt kill you, you're tortured and mutilated for trying to take their money. There's a difference when you're out there alone stealing from killers and bank employees.
I wish you brokedownn more of the in--house shooting scene.
newer vehicles are lighter due to fuel economy, so they won't stop military grade rounds like they used to--some LS engines are aluminum blocks.
I thought all these years that AR was for Armalite 15
I haven’t watched this channel in a while but this a pretty cool channel
well thank you
Bro, I died harder than Ben Affleck in this at fat batman lololol
Ahh I never seen this movie . Didnt know "fat batman" was in this too lol awesome vid yall ! 🤘🔥
Fuuuuuuuuuugggg yeah! This movie is badass, I've seen it several times
Another great fucking video! Hands down my favorite channel on yt
thanks man!!
That Arrogant Bastard Ale will set you right. Good primer.
Hey guys. AR means Armalite. Just so you know. Love your show. Semper Fi brothers!
No Outpost is
@@GrowYourOwn13 wasn't really a fan of outpost. Interesting situation, good effects etc, but didn't really do anything to make you care about the characters as people.
All duty caliber projectiles will punch into one side of a vehicle and put the other if the vehicle isn't armored.
Pretty sure pistols will get through both doors. It's just tinsheet and plastic. And I'm fairly sure 5.56 will also get through the engine bay. 7.62 and 308 run through front to back, easy.
Please review "Close" starring Noomi Rapace on Netflix. I haven't seen any vet reviewing that one yet 😁
ill add it to the list
A .22 caliber will go through a car door. We did ballistics in my police science class. We went up in caliber started with 22 to .223 to include 9mm and slugs and bird shot
I like thay you guys full screen the scenes
You need to do the outpost next
we will add it to the list!
Subscribed because of the explosion
Sounds.😂😂😂
Fat Batman 😂😂😂 I died 😂😂💀💀💀
Ar 15 doesn't mean assault rifle it means armalite rifle version 15. Assault rifle is anything with a stock, grip, separate maxwell and barrel that protrudes out past the upper and lower recievers
Maybe the vehicles were armored, especially if this was in Mexico were there is a great surge of armor upgrades in vehicles due to kidnappings.
Def going to watch
Love these videos!
Hey guys! You could make a review on Escape from Tarkov. It seemed to be pretty realistic!
There is a multi episode series filmed in live action on RUclips that’s definitely worthy of a review
3:30 incorrect. It stands for armalite rifle.
we are clear thank you
A pleasure. Thanks!
I'm pretty sure the AR.in the AR.15 means armorlite rifle named after the company that makes it not assault rifle seeing how it is not an assault rifle but a sporting rifle as a military man you should know that
i should know a lot of things that i dont
I wish the end of these have more of a wrap up at the end about overall thoughts
Great breakdown, I love the callouts of dumb movie script strategies like 'we'll shoot them, but definitely only one of them'. Would love to see a breakdown of Sicario (and the sequel if you like, but the first one's my favourite)!
on the list!
Cool & literally first 🥇. As the 5 portrayed inside this 2019 Netflix movie were former Delta Force operators using older 5.56 NATO Colt carbines & Glock pistols (17 & 19 models); With the actor who played the Mandalorian used the Type 56 7.62mm AK rifle.
Oh my! I bet your parents are so proud of you, I know we here at the FNG academy are overwhelmingly excited that you were 1st!!!!!
@@Last_Chance. 😂😂😂😂
Were they supposed to frmr D boy's? I was thinking SF?
@@Last_Chance. na not really 😂
AR does not mean assault rifle. I'm kind of surprised that a green beret does not know that AR stands for armalite rifle.
ArmaLite, or Armalite, is an American small arms engineering company founded in the mid 1950s in Hollywood, California. It ceased business in the 1980s. The company was revived in 1996
I feel like Ben in that scene when I play CSGO. The only one on the team who dies and because of a baiting teammate.
Do a review on Battle Ground
Old WW2 movie about Hundred and First at Bastogne / Battle of the Bulge
Cool movie .
I was hoping to get a GB's comments on the song that the guy sings when he's carrying the money up the mountain.
Escape from Tarkov: RAID
Better than any movie released by pedowood or shitflix. Produced by a video game developer to promote their game of the same name, but you can tell the film was directed by someone who’s actually traded hate down range. Y’all wont regret it.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
AR = Armalite
The ar in ar15 is not assault rifle. It is armalite rifle
Just a word to the wise: AR stands for Armalite Rifle the original pattern holder before the design was sold to Colt Firearms
we are clear
You don't want to kill everyone in the house. Buck is thinking like a soldier with the backing of a government. Think more like criminal. If you shoot everyone and authorities connect it back to you then they are looking at you as a mass murderer. The more dead bodies you create the more motivation there is for the government to investigate and potentially extradite you.
Great episode dudes!
Please review Masters of the Universe movie from 1987. I think you'll love it. Perfect movie to watch 6 beers in lol
Den of Thieves would be a good movie breakdown.
on the list!
You both have some fire IPA’s 👌👌👌👌👌
IPA or nothing my man!
Can you please actually go through the entire movie? Some movies you do one or two scenes and that's it, while there is usually so much left we wanna see and hear about.
This was a great movie. Great acting action and production.
Haha I know I am late to the party but AR in AR-15 stands for Assault Rifle had me laughing. But for real none of us know all these terms and its easy to make fun of someone for something you that they dont know. Keep putting out the good videos.
AR15 is not an assault rifle but I think I understand why you said yeah.
So AR stands for "assault rifle" and Taran Tactical is phenomenal. Roger
Hey man those assault rifle 15's he trains those actors with are simply precious! Taran greatly enjoys anything precious... 😉
@@berryreading4809 show taran the precious
@@frostbitepokin9520 your comment has broken me now... I must shave my head to show my mental state, now as per required 😥
A-firm
The whole point of this series is so you can write off your Netflix account…. I’m convinced 😂
Hey y’all, I’m sure it’s been recommended but y’all should do sicario.
on the list!
Yes!
