Glad to see this loco back on the Severn Valley Railway. Well done to all of the Erlestoke Manor Fund guys especially the guys at the shop at Bewdley station who I will say have a great selection of second hand model railway items, books and sometimes railwayana.
Not much of a GWR fan but have a bit of a soft spot for this one after I went on her footplate when I was about nine years old. I also didn’t realise that the prairie at Barrow Hill was an SVR one, it’ll be a shame to see her gone but it’s nice to know that she’ll one day get another lease of life!
There are different private owners or societies within the SVR and the owners of 34027 'Taw Valley' made the decision to have her painted purple for the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
Severn Valley Railway please can you bring the great marquess steam locomotive back to the Severn Valley Railway in Shropshire and Worcestershire and when the great marquess is back at the Severn Valley Railway please can you paint K4 class 2-6-0 tender steam locomotive the great marquess back in LNER green livery with black and white lining and number the great marquess locomotive 3442 but not 61994 and paint the LNER logo on both tender sides of the tender and after you Severn Valley Railway had painted the great marquess in LNER green livery please can you put the great marquess locomotive on static display in the engine shed and house at highley station if you could
BTW, God bless you guys for keeping these locomotives alive.. every single one of them
You wonderful people - wish you’d run the country!
I remember very well back in 2010 when she was coupled up as double header with Bradley Manor, great combination at the time,.

Lots of TLC for a gorgeous old girl. Welcome back. Can't wait to see her in action.
Great to see her back.
Hah, I wondered why there was a GWR tender on the Coventry road the other day
Great to see Erlestoke manor make a welcome return home to the severn valley railway 5 years after its last steam running here back in 2017
If the constitution says locomotives should be in authentic livery how come Taw Valley is purple?

Erlestoke manor should join odney manor at wsr forever

The west somerset railway damaged it's cylinder block
I believe that was 7802 Bradley Manor
Typical. loan a newly repaired engine to another Railway and they damage it.
