Regarding the believe in the "Gap Theory" that there are millions of years between verses one and two...the original writing was one narrative with no verses. Verses weren't invented until the 1500s.
Both of you are incorrect. The gap is not a physical literary issue, it is a chronological issue about historical events. If you are not born again according to Biblical Christianity you cannot comprehend the truth, it's not possible. Ezekiel 28:11-19 and Isaiah 14:13-14 happens between the verses. Verse one is just an opening statement that destroys every religion and evolution immediately. If you don't understand 2nd Timothy 2:15 in a King James Bible you can't possibly get things right. When you do finally read the verse, who would you look to for an example of how to do it correctly? Failure in this one task is why so many different denominations exist, and they all blow it every time.
This highlights something that is saddening about many fellow Christian’s approach toward this subject. We spend little time looking for evidence to make a convincing argument, instead, we go on and on about the failures in others.(including Christians with slightly different views) Is this what Jesus taught us ?
I brought the evidence up to my pastors, to defend our faith. Their reply is we have sessions from time to time in our activities schedule. Fine, but this needs to be a theme to be discussed over weeks during service. And, it will give Christian parents the knowledge to answer their kid's tough questions as they become teenagers.. Once you get somebody to successfully rationalize a creator, the rest is easier.

My response to another Lennox video... Firstly, from what Lennox said is interesting to learn that Usher wasn't specificaly working out how old the earth was, he was working out when Adam was born. From 6:34 Lennox talked about the earth moving idea. The important point in this section is that Lennox around 7.50 stated that the word 'fixed' in the Bible is NOT talking about being geometrically or spatially fixed. This is an important point. When we are reading the Bible we must be careful not to impose some popular/traditional contemporary definition of a word upon how the Bible uses that word. We need to examine what Moses etc had in mind when using that word. When I was a kid if someone said 'Web' I would think of what is made outside by a 'spider', but now I would most likely think of the internet. Unfortunately, Lennox doesn't apply the principle he used for 'fix' to 'beginning', 'heaven' and 'earth'. What is the word beginning in verse 1 of Genesis Chapter 1 referring to. You can't use the word beginning without having the object or action to which this belongs to. In the same verse we have 'made'. God was making things. This would take a period of time to accomplish. Moses was telling us that God made 'Heaven' and the 'Earth' at the START of this manufacturing process. Why is it important for this to happen? It would help if we knew what Moses had in mind with the words heaven and earth. If we look at the context, like the rest of the chapter, we see that Heaven was made on the 2nd day and Earth was made on the 3rd day. This is the BEGINNING of the WEEK / manufacturing timetable. There must be a reason why Moses tells us that "heaven" and "earth" had to be made at the beginning. The answer is in verse 2. God had picked one of His water-covered planets to put Adam and Eve on. The land God wanted to put Adam and Eve on was way down in the deep, dark water (without form) and therefore couldn't be inhabited (void). God had to do something about this water. In Isa 45:18 we are told that God FORMED the Earth so that it could be INHABITED (not VOID). Notice in day 1 that we have an evening and a morning, a term used to refer to a 24 hour day. Evenings and mornings are based on the apparent movement of the sun through our sky. The sun was already there. If you think that 'heaven' is the universe then that is a problem. However, we will now look at what Heaven is. In regards to day 1 notice that the Apostle Paul said in 2Cor4:6 that the light that God made on that day came from the DARKNESS which was at the bottom of the water in Gen 1 verse 2. I suggest that it was the activation of the VISIBLE LIGHT SPECTRUM. On day 2 we are told that God turned the middle portion of the water of verse 2 into a firmament to which God gave the name 'Heaven'. What is this firmament made of? Obviously components of the water. If we go to day 5 we find that WINGED fowl FLY in the FIRMAMENT of Heaven. So Heaven is the Atmosphere, containing the air that Adam and Eve need breathe. This is WHY Heaven was made at the BEGINNING or the start of the week. Making the air AFTER making Adam and Eve would have been a disaster. The 2nd day ends with a layer of water above the atmosphere (that would have fallen in the Flood), then the Atmosphere, then another layer of water which was sitting on the land referred to as the Face of the Deep. So we still have water on the land. On the 3rd day God made Seas. Seas have basins so obviously God had formed basins in the Face of the Deep and all the lower layer water flowed into these basins. This left the surrounding land to be at last ABOVE the water level. The Atmosphere dried out this land between the seas and God called it Earth. So in the Bible the word Earth does NOT refer to the whole planet, but only to the dry CONDITION of the land. It is this CONDITION that is 6000 years old, not the planet. Notice that we are not told about the land and the water being made during this week. Since the universe and our planet existed before the Genesis creation event, why did God carry out the Genesis creation event? The CONTEXT of this event is the conflict between God and Satan. Many angels had left God to join Satan (Jude 1:6, Rev 12). Jesus said that the believers shall be equal to and like the angels (Matt 22:30, Luke 20:34-36). Even if Adam and Eve had NOT fallen, they and their descendants would still been made as angels to replace the fallen angels. Don't forget that there as a 7th day in this creation week in which God (plural: includes Jesus) blessed and hallowed that day. Jesus told the Jews that He was LORD of the Sabbath (Matt 12:8. The 7th day of the week to the Jews). Why do so many professed Christians ignore the day that Jesus Himself said that He was Lord of?

I’m not seeing a young earth being able to facilitate the apparent tectonic plate drift. I’m interested in any thoughts. I want to believe it all, but am just not there yet.
That last sentence sums it up. Believers WANT to believe this crap because they're so invested in it. And this is why religion can be harmful as it causes people to literally deny reality. Don't take a dying child to the hospital, just pray for him to be healed ...that would be pretty funny if this hasn't happened a zillion times and still does causing easily preventable deaths.
well, I don't know how long tectonic plates usually take to shift, but, if you read Genesis chapter 1 it sure sounds like God made the dry land in one big piece, and the waters were all gathered in the same place, and then in Genesis 7:11, when describing the flood, it says that the 'fountains of the great deep were broken up' (that's kjv some other versions put it 'burst forth' either way the language is violent). the floodwater wasn't just rain, it was geysers and spouts of water from the heart of the planet. That sounds to me like the sort of thing that might reasonably be supposed to have set off a chain reaction of earthquakes and tectonic activities that might have caused the continental arrangement we see today, and I don't see any reason why it couldn't have happened over a few thousand years, given that kind of sudden trauma. Admittedly this isn't exactly my area, so if you're really interested in learning about this sort of thing I suggest you do a deep dive into the literature yourself. Just remember that the people presenting the facts aren't going to present the bare information, they'll filter it through their worldview either consciously or subconsciously, so keep sifting through the assumptions on both sides until you find the raw data, and then you can decide for yourself what narrative most reasonably explains those facts.
@Joe dirty71 Many things in the Bible can be taken literally. Of course the metaphors should be taken metaphorically, but the historical information is another matter entirely: for instance the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth is one of, if not the, best attested historical event, ever, and if you can't take that literally you can't trust history. So backing up that would make at least 7000 years in the first seven days, but the Bible says 'like'. In reality God would set the length of his day by when he said it was done. Therefore we have no clue how long time passed in God's day or how long those 7 steps of creation lasted in our human time. So basically we know it was 6 phases and one of rest. Then human measurements begin. So the Earth could be billions of human years old or less. Who knows. There is also the fact God exists outside the laws he created for the universe. So if he created it outside then placed it inside who knows what time difference there would be to us.. People think way to small when reading Genesis they tend to put God in a bubble. That's like using a word to define the same word.
In short no. As explained at the opening it's biblical "evidence" (the bible is true because the bible says it's true). Yeah, this is, "The most convincing evidence for a young Earth" ... if you're already a young Earth creationist. You'll notice, he's not arguing against Biblical Creationism skeptics in general, but against old Earth creationism in favor of young Earth. Even at that it's nothing new. Rather than "the most convincing" it's really more like "the same old" evidence that Ken Ham and his followers have been preaching for decades. As an aside, when they use the term "evidence" it is important to understand what they mean. To a Christian, Faith is "The substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen." Heb 11:1 So, when they say they have biblical "evidence" what they mean is they have faith that what the Bible says is true, in spite of all other evidence to the contrary.
I don't really care about how old the earth is. I do care how old these stars are. And how old the light is on the sky. I legit want to know, if the universe was created in 6000 years: 1) How do you explain Mars' Jezero crater and its delta formation with the levels of detected carbonates knowing it would take a LOT longer than 7000 years to form based on the testable/repeatable minerology, erosion and sedimentation rates? Was there a global flood on Mars? Geologists can explain it in detail, why can't young earth creationists? 2) How do you explain paleontologist's ability to perfectly predict the exact fossils expected to be found at each layer and location? Just one example is that they can predict that stegosaurus will never be found with T-Rex layers and they have tens of thousands of these examples and they are correct 100% of the time. Where do paleontologists and geologists get this magical power from and why would God go out of his way to plant all of these fossils that disprove a young earth? 3) How do you explain the lack of certain types of fossils between Mt. Ararat and the areas they now live? For example, the lack of kangaroo, koala and other marsupial fossils between Mt. Ararat and Australia. The Bible predicts that should be at least ONE as they migrated back to their natural habitats. 4) How do you explain what creatures like carnivores and Koalas even ate on the ark? Koalas ONLY eat a select group of gum leaves that ONLY grow in Australia. Did God just magic all of the meat for the lions and gum leaves for them? 5) How do you explain why there is no evidence of any Egyptian army under any seas east of Egypt as the Bible predicts? Both Atheists and Christians have looked with divers and technology like sonar, but not a single piece of metal from that time has been found. No sword, shield, belt buckle, anything! 6) How do you explain why creationists can't get any papers admitted to science journals (not even accounting for peer review) based on your argument of the supposed evidence of a global flood all over the world? The scientists I know would LOVE to prove other scientists wrong because they'd get Nobel prizes if they could upsend the science community. 7) Why is the 'problem' of millions of years in literally every single field of science? Astronomy, Archaeology, Biology, Forensics, Geology, Geography, Linguistics, Paleontology, Physics, Virology and Zoology. Why do they ALL agree and why is there no field of science that indicates a young earth? 8) Why would God be fearful of mankind working together in one language to build a large tower that could "reach the heavens", but only 4000 years later God is suddenly ok with humans living on the ISS, the Moon, communicating using translators over the internet and using phones with instant translaters? The common excuse is because man was instructed to spread out to all the earth, but that's not the reason the Tower of Babel story gives! The Bible gave a very clear reason it was because God feared that there was nothing that humans could not achieve. Are we just going to ignore the bits of the Bible we don't like? Why would God give a reason only for us to reject it because we now know better? 9) How do you explain the ability for big oil companies to use evolutionary theory to find hydrocarbon deposits? Did you know they've even been assisting NASA to finding biological markers on other planets? The world is moving on enjoying modern technology and furthering scientific knowledge while YEC Christians are looking as silly as flat earthers not knowing that evolutionary science actually works in the modern world. 10) Why aren't American Christians out the front of NASA protesting the Mars Perseverance and Curiosity rover missions? The NASA missions are a waste of time as Christians already have the answers for the age of all the craters and mountains on Mars right? Astrogeology and astrobiology are the key goals of the mission, did you think NASA were spending billions of dollars just because it's cool?

Even translating from Elizabethan English to modern American English is full of difficulties as meaning of words change. I believe that "was" is more correct than "became" because the earth was not what it would eventually become as God chose to create it piecemeal (He could have created it completed right from the start but He chose to divide it into 6 periods He called days (He rested on the 7th day to provide a day of rest from everyday work and have time to worship. The earth was without form in my understanding is that it had not achieved to the form ready for mankind; and void meant that the earth had yet to have life on it. This was His plan and Moshe (Moses) wrote about God's purpose in creating an earth. Keep thinking and seek the truth and I will pray that you receive His Truth (reality). Peace to you and yours.
I think of it as the laws of nature. Every painter lays a white paint on the canvas as a sort foundation for the art piece(usually anyway. Most traditional artists do this). The first day was God laying the foundation of this portion of the universe that was nothing, “void,” as the bible says. There is evening and morning now because time(a law of nature that has now been created) now exists. This sets the foundation for the rest of creation. Hopefully that makes sense. 😅😊
@@gogkrakenx8288 The difficulty though is this: everything we see, every person, every shape, is just the brain interpreting the consistent pattern of photons that hits the eye. When I "see you," what is happening is that really my retina is being hit by photons that bounce off of you in such a way, at such angles, that you can be interpreted and visible. Right? The problem here is, since stars even in our own galaxy are as much as a hundred thousand light years apart, which can be measured accurately in a number of ways, well.... when you look at the stars, do you think they really exist? You _shouldn't._ The only way we could be receiving photons that _look like_ they are emitted from stars, in a young universe, is if God created the light that _looks like_ it was emitted from stars, but those patterns of photons were in fact created 6000 light years away from us in space. God, for whatever reason, wanted to make it look like stars exist, when in fact you have no reason to believe they exist at all since there hasn't been time for their light to reach us from that distance anyway, meaning the light that looks like it is coming from stars actually isn't coming from stars. It's a very.... creative.... way to Let There Be Light.
@@Who_IsLike_God OK, let's slow down and be clear about the three 3 things I said. If you think that "we don't need an hourglass to have an hour" addresses my point, you misunderstand. In summary: 1) When I "see you," or see anything else, what I am "seeing" are the particles and beams of light that have bounced off of you. That light interacts with my eyes, which is how people see. Make sense? 2)If the earth is 6000 years old, and light moves at the speed of light, then 6000 years ago, the particles/beams of light that are interacting with our eyes when we look up at the sky and say we "see the stars," or were 6000 lightyears away. A lightyear is the _distance_ that light travels in a year. So 6000 years ago, the light was 6000 light years away. Make sense? But stars are not just 6000 light years away. And the galaxies we _think we see_ and take pictures of through telescopes are millions, even billions of light years away. Therefore, God made light that _looks like_ it is coming from stars and galaxies, which is impossible. Why did he deceive us like this?
The light was likely a dispersed field of plasma. I say this because God separated the light from the dark, which seems to suggest that the light had a material source that was originally intermixed with the dark empty space.
Maybe I missed his explanation of these things (I had some distractions while listening), but how did he explain the length of a day when the sun wasn't created on day one? And what about the earth being void and formless yet there was water here that God hovered over before the earth as we know it (pre-sin, of course) was created? Another question of mine is who knows how long Adam and Eve lived in perfection with the Lord before sinning? Finally, I'll say that imo as an artistic person, there is such joy in the creation process that I find it very easy to believe God would take His time creating everything in this universe.

I don’t really have a stance either way. I just like to see the different views. I also, do not see this as a salvation issue.
To call Jesus a liar, makes the one pointing the finger, the one with 3 pointing back, the one that may not even realise is lying. In Mathew 19 the divorce debate, the Pharisees were trying to trap him on this, he pointed them back to the beginning. Anything outside this timeline is conjecture or downright lies from the Antichrist spirit.

The map was at least 10 feet long and about 5 feet high, containing thousands of individual lines that he had drawn, connecting every people group on the planet back to the middle east and Noah's family. This also included hundreds of branches that split off from main branches, and showed in great detail the population evolution from various genetic mutations (such as blonde hair and blue eyes, or whatever). Then branches from them, and so on. And Ham's descendants (Ham means black in Hebrew) who had migrated southwest into Africa, including all genetic mutations that gave rise to the various traits of Africans. And all people groups who migrated into eastern Asia and down into Australia, all all of their variants. Anyway, I can't explain it all, if I can find his video again, I will come back here and let you know because it was the most incredibly detailed genetic study that I have ever seen. I believe in an ancient God, a very old Universe and a young Earth. The World as we know it is clearly symbiotic and in sync with the rest of our solar system, therefore it makes perfect sense that they were created at the same time to function together. So the fact that the Bible says "and he also made the stars" is very likely a reference to the other planets in our solar system, which are in fact stars to us. There is no conflict with that view and the Book of Genesis. Furthermore, one look into the night sky makes it clear to me that our world is NOT the center of the Universe. Our God is a very big God and we are mere insects in the grand scheme of things. But the age of the Earth as we know it is easy to recognize as a young world if one can grasp the full measure of devastation that the flood caused. The CPT model makes perfect sense, and the book of Genesis is a historical testament that is very accurate. The greatest inaccuracies are not inaccuracies at all, but the result of wrong assumptions.

This is the "special pleading fallacy". Special pleading is an informal fallacy wherein one cites something as an exception to a general or universal principle without justifying the special exception. One who employs this fallacy has no means of distinguishing their own god belief from any differing belief. Confidence, on the other hand, stands on proven ground, fueled by past successes and tangible evidence. It's a calculated bet based on what we can see and understand. While both involve trust, one navigates mystery, the other, familiarity. The word "theory" also commonly experiences the conflation of its two very different meanings. In every day use, it simply means an idea. For example, "After seeing all three of the Star Wars sequels, I have a theory that they were each just made up as they went along." In science, however, is not merely a passing idea. Rather, it represents a very high level of confidence based upon rigerous, peer-reviewed testing and observation, and can even be used to make predictions." For example, Newton's theory of gravity (1687) predicts that the gravitational force on any object is proportional to its mass, while his second law of motion predicts that the resulting acceleration is inversely proportional to the object's mass. The theory has been subject to endless observation and testing, and yet still survives. Thus, to conflate the theory of evolution as "only a theory" demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding of the difference between the two terms. Christian apologetics offers many silly arguments such as these. They are intended to keep the faithful faithful, and hold no weight in any scientific arguments. At the current time, science can neither prove nor disprove any god beliefs. Even if evolution were scientifically disproven, therefore, we would be no closer to proving the existence of any gods. I would caution against listening to Christians who speak against science and anyone claiming to use science to speak against Christianity, as the two are currently not reconcilable.

Interesting .. belief can be a fickle thing. There are three major mono-theistic religions. Judaism, Christianity and Islam. At least two out of the three are false. The Jews are waiting for the Messiah .. Christians believe the Messiah was Jesus and He has come and gone .. and the Muslims while giving a reluctant nod to Abrahamic religions .. defines it's own religion as noted in the Koran. Islam introduces the Prophet Mohammad and Allah into the equation. Well let's see .. only one of the three can be right. Two have to be ruled out. The context has nothing to do with Creation. It has to do with God’s patience with humanity, yet his definite coming judgment! The subject of Creation is a complex and mysterious one in which we need a bucket full of humility. Pastors and teachers too often speak of it as though it were a simple matter and befuddle the minds of their congregations. Creation came about ‘in the beginning’, which if you parallel that statement with the opening of John’s gospel, then our minds are even more blown by learning that the ‘Word’ was there in the beginning, and this Word was with God, and the Word was God and ‘all things were made through him’! Wow! Where are we going? This ‘beginning’ was obviously an eternal ‘beginning’, as God is eternal and has always existed! This puts ‘science’ in its place! (Which I profoundly respect by the way) and I believe is part of God’s common grace. But hey! If scientists were to investigate the creation for a million years, they would only be starting to scratch the surface! That is why we need ‘revelation’, as found in Scripture. But arguments amongst believers about whether the Earth is old or young, I believe are irrelevant. Instead we should be falling on our faces in utter awe and deep humility!

Isn't it a bit foolish to try to determine the age of the Earth by counting generations in the Bible? The Bible is a collection of books and not all books written FOR the Bible are included IN the Bible. It's an edited anthology. That's why you have little hiccups every now and then when places like "The Land of Nod" are mentioned and where Cain got his wife. If God wanted us to know exactly how old the Earth is, that information would have been included in the Bible, but it isn't. The only true answer is that the age of the Earth is NOT given us to know in the Bible and any argument or estimation of the age of the Earth is merely unsupported opinion based on incomplete information. The precise age of the Earth is unimportant. I'll say that again, the precise age of the Earth is unimportant. No Christian should ever try to tell another they know the age of the Earth. Trying to sell someone an opinion based on incomplete information is more like something a cult leader or a dishonest salesman would do. The Earth need not be only 6,000 years old for God to exist, if you feel differently you're only fooling yourself as the Bible does not give the true age of the Earth. Man has interpreted through his self proclaimed "wisdom" out of vanity that which was never given for interpretation. Remember, if God exists he certainly could have been around 4.3 billion years ago without question.
An old earth weakens the christian narrative, because of the earth is old, then god was just sitting on his ass for most of history untill 2023 years ago. So people like baldy here just casually contradict everything known in many fields of science to strengthen his own narrative, completely oblivious to the fact that he cannot actually support any of his claims .

just as you said 'your theory'. Not facts

It's the only reason why we have a 7 day week.
What the text was like in the 1500s or before doesn't matter, the King James has the text broken into verses.

We spend little time looking for evidence to make a convincing argument, instead, we go on and on about the failures in others.(including Christians with slightly different views)

I brought the evidence up to my pastors, to defend our faith. Their reply is we have sessions from time to time in our activities schedule.
Why do so many professed Christians ignore the day that Jesus Himself said that He was Lord of?

well, I don't know how long tectonic plates usually take to shift, but, if you read Genesis chapter 1 it sure sounds like God made the dry land in one big piece, and the waters were all gathered in the same place, and then in Genesis 7:11, when describing the flood, it says that the 'fountains of the great deep were broken up' (that's kjv some other versions put it 'burst forth' either way the language is violent). the floodwater wasn't just rain, it was geysers and spouts of water from the heart of the planet.
Period.

@@leftgrrl Satan was there from the beginning. Genesis 3:1 - Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
Loyalty to God is brought on by knowing Him. Understanding that we did nothing to deserve the forgiveness of our sins, but that God came to earth, in human form and lowered himself in obedience to die a most horrible death so that we could live in relationship with God.
Faith - faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. It takes faith to believe that God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish - but have everlasting life.
Tithing - tithing is a biblical principal, it’s literally giving God a 10th of what is already His. It’s also the only thing God has ever said “test me” about. Micah 3:10 - “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
Christians don’t “tithe to their faith out of fear of Satan.” Lol
We tithe because God has said that if we do, he will pour out so much blessing that there will not be room to store it. I personally know it to be true, as do so many more.
It would be convenient though, if Satan was made up, if he were fictional. I could see how it would be a great benefit to him if he could convince others that he was fictional. But I know better. I know the truth and the truth has set me free. I have heard God’s voice, I have sat in His presence, I have been healed by Him, I have felt His overwhelming Love permeate ever fiber of my being, I have moved mountains with a mustard seed sized faith and I know that I know that I know that my redeemer lives.
You can know Him too, He already knows you. He knows what you are going through, He knows how broken your heart has ever been, and He knows just what you need.
Try this - next time you misplace something, anything. Your keys, your shoe, a remote… just something you in the process of looking for - stop and ask God to show you where it is and see what happens. I believe that God will show you exactly where it is.

Exactly how is that? When every culture has evidence of the flood. At the same timing.

1) How do you explain Mars' Jezero crater and its delta formation with the levels of detected carbonates knowing it would take a LOT longer than 7000 years to form based on the testable/repeatable minerology, erosion and sedimentation rates?

Well the part where he is pushing people away from christianity, best part of the lecture by far.
Very nicely done, Tim. One area where we probably differ is that I'm persuaded that the Masoretic text is unreliable regarding the ages between Shem and Abraham. The scheme was concocted to support the idea (I believe) that Shem and Melchizedek were the same person. Josephus and the LXX have it right, and this adds 750 years. It should bother all of us that church leaders, seminary professors, Bible college presidents and the like have departed from scripture. "Take heed that no one deceive you" may point at them.

Dear ted burney,
Translating from one language to another is very difficult due to different concepts and different ways of seeing things.
This is not an argument - just an honest question: what is the light that was created if the sun was created later on?
@@Who_IsLike_God
OK, let's slow down and be clear about the three 3 things I said. If you think that "we don't need an hourglass to have an hour" addresses my point, you misunderstand. In summary:
1) When I "see you," or see anything else, what I am "seeing" are the particles and beams of light that have bounced off of you.

I wish I could find it again, but about a year ago I found an extremely detailed video about the dispersal of Noah's descendants. The man who did the research worked on the project for over 15 years, analyzing the DNA of every single people group on the planet. He then constructed an incredibly detailed map of the dispersal of humans from Noah to this day. And everyone, I mean everyone, led straight back to Noah's family in the middle east. It seems like he said he estimated Noah's family to have lived somewhere between 4500 to 5500 years ago, based on his calculations, not just of population spread and genetic variations, but also based on mutation rates.

The problem comes by man trying to use man's understanding to explain how the God of the Universe created things.
This is the "special pleading fallacy". Special pleading is an informal fallacy wherein one cites something as an exception to a general or universal principle without justifying the special exception. One who employs this fallacy has no means of distinguishing their own god belief from any differing belief. That is, if one can suspend "man's understanding" to establish that Yahweh is the one true god who created the universe, then one can just as easily and justifiably suspend their reasoning to conclude that Brahma, Allah, Tepew, Gichi-manidoo, Chuck Norris, or The Force is responsible for creation. Special pleading is essentially a tool that rewards "wishful thinking" for the person who relies upon it while offering absolutely nothing of value for the person who does not.
@Captain-Cosmo Belief in God is called faith. But, everyone has faith, your faith is apparently in no God. Call it what you will, no one was there to see the beginning. Science of evolution is called a theory for a reason.
@@glennorrell3446 Regrettably, you chose not speak to my argument. Nonetheless, I will address your new claims. Respectfully, you are conflating two words to mean the same thing which do not. Please let me explain.
You stated the "belief is God is called faith". Indeed, I remember Hebrews 11:1 very well from my Sunday School days. But just as many words have multiple meaning, so does the word "faith". The word "faith" is also used in reference to a level of confidence apportioned to evidence. That is, "I have faith that my car will start this morning because I just had it serviced yesterday." In this way, religious faith leaps into the unknown, trusting in unseen forces and divine promises. It's a surrender, not a surety.

2 Peter 3:8-‘one day is like a thousand years’
The context has nothing to do with Creation.
Instead we should be falling on our faces in utter awe and deep humility!

no, it was all terrible
@@tattoogoon my hope is that it reaches as few people as possible.
it's absurd...
It is widely accepted by both geologists and astronomers that Earth is roughly 4.6 billion years old. This age has been obtained from the isotopic analysis of many meteorites as well as of soil and rock samples from the Moon by such dating methods as rubidium-strontium and uranium-lead. The young earth theory needs to disprove the methodology of isotopic analysis to substaniate it's proposterous claim of a young earth.
@@Pikkabuu great point!
Isotopic analysis is not verifiable.
In fact, it has left faulty assumptions numerous times on known dates.
Numerous studies on this subject if you want to take the time to look them up.
@@davidlawrence616 The next time you go for an x-ray you will be validating the principles of x-ray technologies that have been advanced over decades. The levels of harmful rays from radio active materials have been substantially reduced in both level of severity and exposure time. A niinimal amout of exposure to radiation to enable a useful image for interpretation by Radiologist to detect physical defects of our bodies is both testament to the progress of the ever imporoving science and the application of the readiation technologies to accurately detect abnormalities.
None of this would be possible without the understanding of radio active isotopes and their levels of radiations which must be both precise and accurte. The over ride principle of safety to the subject being scanned is paramount to it's success.
There are many things that are ‘widely accepted’ by professionals that just aren’t true such as the concept of a chemical imbalance in mental health
What most people claim to know as a fact is often nothing more than just siding with someone else’s theory rather than looking into it for themselves
Even though it’s not my favorite thing to watch or listen to, I thank God there are people that have been blessed with a passion for defending the “Word of God.”
Sin is very destructive, there have been many times in my life I have gone astray. I never intended to stray far but I ended up so much farther for so much longer than I ever could have imagined.
it’s the same with the “Word of God” if you overlook what it says clearly in the Bible today in one section, you’ll be more inclined to overlook another section later and then another and another until your faith crumbles and you have no foundation to stand on.
I will worship toward Your holy temple,
And praise Your name
For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word above all Your name. Psalm 138:2
I recently started researching Christianity. (I went to a church school but haven't been involved during my adult life)
Even while an atheist I never believed the earth was as old as scientist tell us. Something just didn't add up. I never knew a lot of Christians thought the same. It was a big "aha" moment when I realised.
Atheists and evolutionists always seem to piss their pants when creationist theories are presented. They are so scared that they even want to deny telling of creationism in schools. Strange. If they believe that creationism is totally incredible, then why don't they let the schoolchildren decide for themselves to laugh it off? Problem is of course the danger that they won't laugh it off ...

China is 9000 years old. And Mesopotamia is way older then 6000 years. Simple math doesn’t add up

Damascus has been continuously inhabited for 11,000 years. Some more numbers for your equation.
.. also, Jericho dates to about 9,000 years before Christ. Actually three cities, 2 built over the previous, original one.
Has anyone gauged the figure that shows the cubic kilometre volume that would have to fall in forty twenty fore hrs.Ito massively submerge all mountains ? I suggest that Noah and the animals could not have survived that And . . . where did it A come from or B go to ?
People have... It isn't possible. There isn't even enough water right now to cover every mountain, rain or no. The Flood story is a myth. Don't take my word for it, do the research. It being a myth is verified by science and history.
I have been convinced to rake the Bible literary. I am a sinner, but I believe in Jesus, as my saviour! Amen!
Spoiler... It's Old very old
No it isn't God dam it. am. it's just a theory of supersticion andaa yeah. mm i love cities with big buildings.
God is great❤
❤❤❤Thanks for presentations like this.
This could be hard to process but what if YOU are wrong?
@@mytubex2 Thats the thing we aren’t wrong, and you obviously have the same sentiment so keep it. Let’s see how it unfolds in the end and who ends up on top. In that day you’ll all have to bow and show reverence to Yahweh. It’ll be a sweet sight to see even if I don’t make it to see the gates.
@@imani4075 Wow, you're basically saying that you wish God existed so he punishes the non believers so you can rejoice in their suffering. And this kind of feelings is coming from the love of a believer, and easily justify what in any other context would be condamnable. Congrats.
@@solomon05032 You added words to my comment that I did not say. I’m not going to defend myself because I know what I meant. If they don’t hearken to the words of God, they will suffer. This is true for all of us. If you want to sit and debate with people that don’t want to listen, that is up to you.

Who ends up on top
It'll be a sweet view
Good job.
That was outstanding!
Outstandingly incorrect
The most "convincing" evidence doesn't compare to the mountains of evidence we have for evolution.
@user-tt8lf3fv1y First off, a "kind" isn't a classification. Secondly, no organism outgrows its ancestry. Eukaryotes always produce eukaryotes, animals always produce animals, mammals always produce mammals, primates always produce primates and humans always produce humans. No one is arguing against this.
Their is no evidence for evolution. Evolution is a horrible religious belief. It is based on faith and a presupposition that evolution is true. Evolution was made up by racist white eugenesis. People who called the Africans animals and considered them the missing link. It's a sick belief that people accept blindly, beasd on fake science, and fictional evidence.
Actually God is ‘Eternal’!
@@petercollins7848 I have the same opinion Peter. I believe God exists outside our known Universe. The evidence is in the first line of Biblical text. "In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth." This simple reference tells us God created Time, Space and Matter, all elements that determine the makeup of our known Universe. That's a pretty deep understanding of how science has defined our Universe found within an ancient text supposedly from primitive minds of uneducated author(s).
In THEE beginning. Tim, isn't the word the in light faced type, ie. it's not in the original, which really reads, In beginning....???
