+Ray Koopa The SNES has a sprite limit of about 90. Given that there were already sprites on screen, the sprite rain seems not feasible. Although since the sprites keep disappearing off-screen, it removes one from the sprite limit. So yes, it's possible. Give me my disbelief back lol

Actually, there is a max of 114 sprites in this scene. Because the letters are sprites too. And the SNES's sprite limits are 128. You can count with a debugger emulator like the No$sns, just looking for the Vram viewer.

Mario Paint was very complex for the time in the star theme the harp was sampled with changing octaves.
