You reminded me of the 2 weeks thst i could not take care of my orchids. I woke up in the ICU, thinking about my orchids! Really 😂. My sweet daughter thst does not do orchids did her best to spritz them every day. I tell you, not one of my orchids died. Not a one! 😊
Yes, I did recover. I had to go to rehab for a week after surviving Spinal Meningitis. No wonder I love Orchids so much. We are hardy Souls 😂.@@NicoleDeanna

I see the flower variation! I'm convinced it's a little different depending on the temperature when it's in bud!
well at least you aren't going in July or August so it won't be so hot and the plants can get by a little more easily. Have fun, watch your passport (a friend of mine got their swiped in Rio, what a mess that was).
I ended up ordering the angel baby little darling den and it was in bloom and it smelled like only black licorice distinctly I asked my mother what she smelled without saying anything and she said same thing. The shipping and lack of light on the buds/blooms developing maybe affected the scent the flowers produced. I hope next bloom cycle it gets a floral scent haha. Also it was pretty much a fresh division with virtually no roots so that stress maybe hurt the scent produced too perhaps. It is indeed vigorous though I've noticed too so that's good it's establishing very fast.
I hope you end up liking it! It's one of my favorites, so vigorous. For me it's floral and fruity and reminds me of gardenia. Hopefully yours will pick this up when it blooms next time. Yeah sometimes the first blooms are different, I hope yours doesn't end up smelling like licorice, I don't like that smell lol ❤️ Happy growing ❤️

Mine doesn’t bloom yet ! My Hoya takes longer to bloom.
I find that some hoyas bloom sooner than orchids :)
