@@worldofxtra i ended up being held at Camp Fuji Marine Base after landing and was told to stay in that hotel for a week (basically held hostage at that point) then leave back for America immediately. I told them im visiting my husband whose on deployment in japan okinawa so i still had another flight to make. But instead they took me to that military camp and literally wouldnt let me leave. (At that point i was so scared and confused sense this was my first flight alone ever and I made all the right calls to the military so i could even make this trip which each military base i spoke to said i was in the clear ) They made me pay for my stay at that hotel, made me pay for everything i ate, and then told me to figure out by myself how to get back to the Tokyo Haneda Airport which was like 2-3 hours away. I even told them why they couldnt help me get to that airport but they just said your a civilian we cant give you a ride (even though its their fault i was even all the way out in the country side) So yeah, being alone in another country where i dont know anyone and didnt know enough japanese for that type of situation was literally traumatic.
@@111ena i asked them about covering anything and they said it was out of their hands even though its their fault it went down the drain. I seriously had a cheap hotel booked in okinawa already which in the end i couldnt even refund that. The hotel on that military camp was expensive af for no reason too
