“ I don’t like that,” and “I’m bored!” are two of the things I didn’t tolerate. I had an “I’m bored” jar. If I heard it they had to pick a piece of paper with a task on it from the jar. It could be a fun thing like extra time with one parent or 1/2 hr tv time. Orrrr, it could have sweep the floors, dust or clean the toilet! Only had it happen once. After that, all I had to do is say “Do I need to get the I’m bored jar?” 😂 The answer was a resounding NOOOO! They found something to do immediately.

They are allowed to not like something. My kids rarely get bored but if they do, I tell them that's a good thing. It has driven them to become creative.
my mom always said if your bored i’ll find you something to do like chores pick weeds 😂she also taught us i’m not your maid your old enough to do it yourself
