I had just recieved my amped1 a few months ago and loved it. Upon hearing this being released, I immediately ordered one. Should be here in a few days and I can't wait to try it.
This is a brilliant product if you like to keep things simple. My live rig is usually exactly this… a basic pedal platform amp and a few pedals. I don’t want to fiddle with presets, I just want to tune up and play.
Intriguing. Looks very well thought-out. I may have to try one as I'm not so happy with my current ampless+power amp/ sim pedals (Hotone AMP + Mooer Baby Bomb).
I run a pretty large pedalboard (yes, there's a couple of Blackstar pedals on there ;) - HT Dual & LT Dual) and the high headroom in this unit appeals to me, as does the power scaling.

Nice product, sounds good but for this to be a live solution everything needs to be foot switchable, either as presets or individually. So now you need to add a midi board. Line 6 and Fractal already have this figured out.

This seems great but I was sold on Blackstar a few years back when I had their 5W tube amp. It made me want to never go back to solid state. But I also love the built in effects. Hughes & Kettner does a midi-switchable tube amp with effects but it’s twice the price of this. Not many other options for that. Definitely willing to try this because I know Blackstar sounds great but I’m still leaning toward requiring tubes.
Can you change presets of any kind with midi? Like clean with chorus and reverb to suddenly distorted with delay or a volume increase for leads?

Hey Blackstar, there will be any way (even with a sofware update) to make one of the footswitches toggle beetween the clean amp to a dirty one? I actually don't see the convenience of making it an all-in-one rig if I still have to connect a MIDI foot controller for example. I'm saying this because it could be an amazing product!

Even a midi wouldn't work well because you'd be using a shared EQ. It really needs the ability to have stored presets with preset switching. It seems like another typical case of Blackstar making something that could be great if not for a huge oversight. This Silverline has the preset functionality but doesn't have a usable loop, this has a loop but no preset functionality. It is very frustrating, I'd like to be able to use either this or a Silverline but need preset functionality and a loop that can be used. Blackstar often come so close to bringing out the ultimate bit of gear and always let it down with a missing or broken feature.
Is this 100w into 4ohm speaker?

you could use the stereo line out (cabrig) with a splitter cable, or run any of the outputs (not speaker outputs) into an interface. so yes

With MIDI foot controller connected to the MIDI in can you switch between amps and have a clean (USA-6L6) and a drive (Classic-EL34) for live use? Or two complete presets with different effects?
I just said same thing I would like a master volume for boost on leads on clean and dirty channel.

Live I don’t think they thought that far ahead yet.
You can switch or set almost everything by midi but it doesn't have preset functionality so not it's not really useful to switch by midi as you can only make one change at a time. For example you could change the voice, then change the tube, then change the treble, then the mids, then the bass, then the volume but each one at a time, not all at the same time. It's a shame, this would be an amazing bit of gear for live use if it had preset functionality. Without it, it doesn't really make sense, I'm not sure who this is aimed at.

@@STF_YVR Livelogic isn't really useful as this doesn't have preset functionality so while you can program livelogic to make any single change at a time, livelogic can only make a single parameter change at a time effectively making it useless for most people in a live situation. For example you could set three switches in livelogic to switch to each channel, that's three switches gone just for channel switching but all with shared volume and EQ. You can set a switch to change a specific parameter like mids or volume but you would have to program it to a specific setting and that switch would then only do that one setting, such as volume to half. So livelogic with this isn't really useful.
I would buy a stereo version. Too bad it’s effects are mono.

Hey, Blackstar…why would I buy your product when you don’t even have the common decency to answer so many of these people’s questions on your own videos? Terrible.
I believe that some engineers must’ve gotten fired for not including the ability to switch from clean to distorted channel without a midi footswitch. Their answer to that is the Amped 3, but that has no effects! (Other than reverb)🤪🤪🤪… with that being said, I’m leaning towards the 3, and adding a few effects in the loop and/or in front of the A3.
