All of this recipes turned out fantastic and I will definitely be making them again! What have you been whipping up from your pantry in the past few weeks? Let me know!
I made a super easy 3 ingredient dish. It's potatoes, onions & cheese. I added a little left over ham but it was optional. I filmed it if you have time to watch
You have an amazing personality. So fresh & full- spirited & I love watching you in the kitchen. Those were easy, economical, & delicious recipes. Thank you for spending hours in the kitchen preparing, cooking, cleaning up the mess, AND filming & editing for us. As a fellow content creator, I can attest to all the time & work involved. Frankly, you are superwoman to accomplish all this while caring for 3 kids & a husband, & a part-time job at the church. I'm VERY proud of you, Mindy
Crockpot liners are lifesavers sometimes 😅 especially when I have to use my 3gallon crockpot for big dinners.. other than that, usually, as long as I remember to spray the pot, it’s not a big deal 😊
I love your style of cooking, everything is affordable and fairly healthy. Even though I'm a vegetarian, I enjoy your channel a lot! Keep up the good work!
So happy that I found this video. I had made that coffee cake banana bread a few months back, and my daughter loved it. Then I couldn't put my hands on it again. The other banana breads I've made seem to have fallen short...LOL Now I can make the famous coffee cake version again. THANKS!!!
I've been meaning to try that 7UP recipe forever now. Every thing you made looks wonderful. With all of those wonderful vegetables with your dinner, I never would have guessed it to be a pantry meal.
I like going back to your old videos. You are so positive and helpful. More Mindy! I think I might try your casserole. We have canned biscuits on sale here this week. I make leftover pie lately and I even tried a rice casserole dish to use up all the cooked veg in my fridge. I often make scrambled eggs with the kitchen leftovers thrown in.
How many times can I say Great video ! Between you and Frugal Fit Mom & Jordan Page 's channel I have learned so much about frugality and cooking thank you
7-up biscuits are a favorite for my family. I really love your channel and everything you do. I'm going to repeat what others have said, you have such a soothing, calming voice.
I pulverize a bunch of spinach and add to my favorite banana bread recipe. I have to sneak it in when I have it. Pizza crust is another good place to sneak if in, but you have to cut the water back a bit because it adds too much liquid. It’s hard to go through a whole box of spinach if I don’t sneak it in.
I made the 7up biscuits probably a year ago but I think my Bisquick was old because mine didn’t rise enough at all. And I just made the Mexican chicken last week and it was very good.
I just love all of the recipes you share with us and especially how you cook from your pantry! It’s encouraged me to cook from what I have. Not only does this save $$, but it keeps food from going to waste. Thank you for making such encouraging teaching videos!
So glad everyone is safe and sound! We were stuck inside for about a week due to the ice and snow, so I definitely got creative with my lifestyle meals, too! Thank you for sharing these recipes! I think I will try that crockpot recipe!
As someone who survived snomagedon in Texas I will just say cooking with no water and no electric for 5 days with 7 people in 1 house (it was the only house with a fireplace so 3 families 1 house) was its own challenge. Thank God for cast iron skillets and campfire coffee pots. Try making a frittata in a fireplace. 😁
Because I LOVE your channel/posts so much, I'm contributing a couple future posts ideas: 1) Have viewers send in their favorite quick-make recipes (less than 10-min prep or whatever you decide) that cost less than $3-5 to make, then do a post on you making a few 'viewer faves' to feed the fam for X-amount of days. 2) I'd love to see a post on fun things your family does that are no-low cost -- if you don't want the family featured in it, you could always just shoot scenes of the venues or activities, also snacks you serve during at-home family-fun and on-the-go fun events.
Such yummy looking dishes! You have great easy going delivery in your videos😊 I make coffee cakes often and have found that a parchment paper sling in the pan allows me to remove the bread with ease and limits the loss of those delish crumbs on top.
Homemade bisquik is my favorite. It tastes better then the store bought ones. I always have some made up in the cupboard. I love those 7up/Sprite biscuits and mine never turn out that nicely so that you can cut them. I might have to add the flour and try again soon. Might be a yummy treat for breakfast!!
Mindy! I so love your channel, recipes, and personality but coming to you as a WW member all of these yummy bread videos are making want all the bread!! 😆🤤🤪
The banana bread looked yummy. I'm in Houston and my plan was to bake all day when the storm hit. But alas, the power went out and so did my plan! Luckily no burst water pipes in my house. We just hunkered down and layered up. Glad it's warmed up now.
I'm so sorry! I hope you have your power back and things are getting back to normal. Kids went back to school today here, and everything is pretty much melted!
Hey Mindy. I’m watching while editing. Cooking from the pantry is awesome. I try to keep staples on hand just when I don’t want to go to the store and also what we eat often. Great video💖💖
Thanks, Keyana! Yes! I find that if I can "stretch" a few extra days until I go to the grocery store, it saves us a little money, too, because we use stuff up that would have gone to waste, and I can go to the store less. :)
Found you couple weeks ago and Great channel😊!! Mexican chicken looked delish!!! We do Mexican a lot but next time I will definitely try with cheese sauce for a change from shredded cheese 🧀
Everything looked great! I cant wait to cook this ham I've had in my freezer. Not because we're excited for ham but to get it the heck out of our freezer already.... 😵😜
Everything looked delicious. When I first saw the biscuits, I thought of chicken pot pie. Will definitely have to try the crumbly banana bread. When I make my crumbly mix, I mix my dry ingredients together before I add the butter. Just my personal preference. Great video.
The coffee cake banana bread looks delicious! I usually don't like baking things with crumb toppings, because _certain_ family members make a mess when eating. =)
I can’t wait to try these recipes!! Great job. If you could talk just a little bit slower when describing ingredients that would be so very helpful! Thanks for your wonderful videos!!
If the banana bread was cooked on the outside but not the inside that may mean that your oven was a little too high. In my experience with banana bread, you might want to cook it a little bit lower since it is such a wet batter. I hope this helps!
Did you roast your green beans from frozen? If so, how long/what temp? You made some awesome stuff, I aspire to be able to do pantry cooking. I’m terrible at it and waste so much food!
They were pretty much frozen. They sat on the counter for about 15 minutes before I prepped them for the oven. I think I roasted them at 375 for about 15 minutes and then bumped the temp up to 400.
@@SeeMindyMom I just tried with soda water and added a tablespoon of sugar and a big pinch of citric acid. The dough was super wet, but a bit more powder helped - resulting biscuits were really light and soft, for sure worth making again 🙂
The biscuits are good but have you ever used 7Up and making pancakes those are good too throw some chocolate chips or m&M's in the pancakes even better
I am a 1st time viewer so I do have what may seem to some a strange question, as I said 1st time viewer. Do you wear glasses on a regular basis? I noticed you kept pushing them up, so I figured they are either too big or you don't normally wear them. Just curious that's all.
I thought it was funny because she said I have over ripe bananas that need to be used and then in the same sentence she said my bananas weren’t quite ripe enough. Love your videos but I had to go back because did I was like did I hear her wrong.
All of this recipes turned out fantastic and I will definitely be making them again! What have you been whipping up from your pantry in the past few weeks? Let me know!

@@glendasully I'll go watch your video! 😊
You’ve probably already heard this hack. When cutting in butter, freeze it and grate it right into your flour mixture and combine! So easy!

Really excited to make the 7up biscuits.. thanks for the bisqick mix recipe! 🥰
I’m a few seconds in and have to say, you know it’s good when you have to give yourself a round of applause haha
Well, it was for the recipe for that banana bread from alattefood, but yes...it was so good!
Lol ive been known to clap when my taste buds are extra happy

Me, too! I think I left the house just one time in 12 days. I was grateful we only lost power for a short time, though.
I never watch cooking videos but I love to watch you! Everything always looks doable and scrumptious. Hope your weather improves. ❤️

Sometimes when I need to make a crumble topping, I grate frozen butter right into the mix. It helps everything mix together really well.

Just the fact that you thought to make Bisquick! So cool 😎.

I laughed so hard in your opening when you clapped over the dish i do the exact same thing when i cook a good meal :)

How long did you end up cooking the crockpot eggs for? I’m new to the crockpot :)
I cooked them on high for 2.5 hours. They might have been "done" before that, but it turned out fine for me.
Great ideas, love to see you make a vegetarian cheese sauce one day with potatoes and carrots.
My friend MiRanda does that all the time on her channel, Running on Plants

Thank you so much! Likewise!
We don’t drink/have soda but I really want to try the biscuits! Could I sub sparkling water (maybe with a little sugar and vinegar)?
I’m not sure. I think the sugar and acidity from the 7up is necessary for the taste and leavening.
@@SeeMindyMom I just tried with soda water and added a tablespoon of sugar and a big pinch of citric acid. The dough was super wet, but a bit more powder helped - resulting biscuits were really light and soft, for sure worth making again 🙂
I am an Australian could you let me know what I can use instead of bisquick?
Fun drinking game. Every time she touches her glasses, take a drink. 😂
The biscuits are good but have you ever used 7Up and making pancakes those are good too throw some chocolate chips or m&M's in the pancakes even better
I have not, but I'm definitely going to try that! What an intriguing idea!
Good afternoon from Greece , in my country we don't have sour cream or its very rare to find ,what can i use as a substitute for the biscuit recipe?
I sub plain greek yogurt all the time for sour cream! :)
Your banana bread looked amazing
It was great! Would recommend!
What was that seasoning u on top of the green beans & potatoes? Didn't look like salt & pepper. Green can?
Tony’s
I found some at Dollar Tree, but they carry it in other stores. Tony’s Creole Seasoning. 😊
Do you thaw the green beans before roasting them or do you roast them straight out of the freezer?
They sat on the counter for about 15 minutes, but that was all
So tasty 😋🤤😋🤤
When my bananas are getting too ripe, I cut them in pieces, put them in a freezer bag for smoothies or banana bread later.
I love “SCOSH” as a measurement 😂
I am a 1st time viewer so I do have what may seem to some a strange question, as I said 1st time viewer. Do you wear glasses on a regular basis? I noticed you kept pushing them up, so I figured they are either too big or you don't normally wear them. Just curious that's all.
I have worn corrective lenses for 25 years, but I mostly wear contacts.
How much cheese did u put in for the cheese sauce?
I think it says two cups in the recipe. There’s a link in the description box.
What temperature idd you do it
The banana bread
Can you list the ingredients to last meal?
There’s a link in the description box.
😋 Man that 🍌🍞/☕️🍰
LOOKS DELICIOUS ❣️
What’s a “skosh”?
A “pinch”, a “dash”
Are you wearing a new pair of glasses it seems like you're touching them a lot?
Bet you could have swirled that sour cream into the bread
Ugh I was excited about biscuits until you said shortening:(. It’s not something we can eat in our house
I think you can sub butter in the homemade bisquick mix
I thought it was funny because she said I have over ripe bananas that need to be used and then in the same sentence she said my bananas weren’t quite ripe enough. Love your videos but I had to go back because did I was like did I hear her wrong.
