Imagine being 16 and having some of the Demo tapes before the album had even hit the shelves and teaching yourself to play those riffs by ear. 😁 This old GenX'er did exactly that. Anyways, what gauge strings you got on your Jesus V there? I always used 9 variants to the low E, but nowadays we can get even lower gauge. Ernie Ball is my favorite with Super Slinkie. But they now have even lower dow to 7 - 42 😲 like fkn spider silk lol. Super Slinkie, Zipper Slinkie, and Turbo Slinkie if I remember correctly.
@@lilmike2710 I spent a lot of hrs rewinding tapes in my teens. Nothing came out exactly right but I'm happy I had to to that for many years. I have 10-52 on the Lana V.
@@cypher6009 The bassline from is from Anaesthesia, on top of it is the melody to Solitude. Just wanted to add that since I can't play the bass solo very well.
Anesthesia with solitude just perfection 👌🏼
holy shit bro this definitely deserves a like! dude you're awesome
Thank you!
do you have any tips on how to learn kill em all songs?
I watch others, few play them entirely correct but a combo of that and watching Metallica is good. And good ears of course.
@@metriffs thanks man im only playing since 3 weeks lol but i can kinda play skeletons of society
I played ACDC only as a beginner 🤓
Only thing that keeps this from reaching perfection is the tuning.
Lol, sounds like a tuning spastic who tunes with devices to achieve 100% accurate tuning. This is false. Never be obsessed with tuning
wtf are you doing here😭 (bro will never find out who I am)
and some reverb
@@SirBoycie Couldn't bring myself to have reverb on, or I might have had the tiniest bit of "room" delay on. But it takes away from the precision.
u meam tone?
No remorse no regret!
The verse riff for Metal Militia is the most epic shit ever written
Yeah ! Yeah ! 🤘
Metal militia riff is soooo cool. You are on fire bro 🔥
Dave Mustaine wrote that rif. It's nasty
That was cool what ya did with anesthesia pulling teeth.
Thanks, like it too. Fits so well.
@@metriffsSolitude from Black Sabbath... So cool!🤘
Great job! Awesome skills🔥
Awesome 😎🎶🙏💥
sick video man love your shirt
3:14 *floyd rose bridge muscle memory*
Haha, looks like it. Never had one though.
awesome sound !
Never really occured to me how happy KEA sounds compared to later metallica albums and a lot of thrash in general
Love the chrome emgs
Yeah, I had to look around a bit to find them. Looks good.
That V rips bro!!!
Whats up with anesthesia, that was awesome.
Cool video and playing!
I’ll show my age - I recorded it on 8-track tape and wore it out!
what the hell kinda glorious sounding amp is that
I believe it is the Mesa Mark IV.
Great album for playing riffs
sounds good
Amazing
Awesome dude! Best Metallica Album!
Thank you!
You make me miss my guitars 😭
Did you sell them?
Do antichrist by slayer
You forgot the main riffs „The four horsemen“. My absolute fave.

What amps / pedals you using here sounds unreal
Mesa Boogie Mark IV, no pedal except some delay during the clean part.
2:10 please tell me, what song is this?
2:10 - 2:37 is No Remorse
awesome playing man but whats up with solitude in the middle? I mean still you nailed it but I dont think thats a kill em all riff
@@cypher6009 The bassline from is from Anaesthesia, on top of it is the melody to Solitude. Just wanted to add that since I can't play the bass solo very well.
@metriffs oh that's dope man, very creative way, just didn't realize it since Cliff's distorted bass usually really drags your attention
Second best album after justice. Great playing.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
is that anesthesia on 1:02?
Yes. The bass line is. Then a Black Sabbath melody over it.
can you show your AMP settings?
I'll try and remember. It's nothing special, just to my liking.
what is that riff at 1:03?
Black Sabbath Solitude with Anaesthesias bass line.
@@metriffs thanks
@@wiktorz8524 not planet caravan it is solitude
@@metriffs Black Sabbath Solitude....
Yes. Had a brain fart.
ok WHERE DO I FIND THIS T SHIRT ? I NEED IT I GOTTA HAVE IT!
Can't remember really, might have been ebay. Search for his name, lunatic, tshirt.
what amp, cab, speakers?
I think it was the Mark IV. Celestion G12T-75 old vented ones, V30's. Marshall AX and BX.
Lot of Dave Mustaine riffs on here. Imagine that
Well he wrote some of these so, that's why they're included.
He cowrote 4 songs so some will be his yes
Tired of hearing about that guy.
Bruh, okay it's a 40 y/o thing and they're all chill about that
I think bro forgot seek and destroy
2:39
@ oh shit my bad
What V is that?
'67 RI
would sound better in correct tuning but amazing playing its very very clean!
Thrash metal. That's all!
Remove the second sentence
Great. Pedals are for posers. This sounds true
Sorry to break it to you, but James used a Proco RAT distortion pedal on Kill em all, and Kirk used a tubescreamer.
Why?
That makes no sense
huh
Kirk Hammet uses a Tube Screamer and a Wah Pedal.
