@@ninevoltromeo I don't know what is it supposed to prove or show? Yes, in the video you linked James is playing the exact guitar I mentioned and which was recreated here: Hetfield's Electra V which is a cheap Gibson Flying V copy. Yes, it has an Gibson truss rod cover- the information about James having bought it from a guy who attached a Gibson truss rod to his copy is also mentioned- the truss rod/Gibson logo who had many people confused as to the real maker of the guitar.
PS I am sorry if I wrongly thought you were coming at me being like 'LOOK, IT'S CLEARLY A GIBSON!' if that wasn't your intention and you were sort of confirming my point- it's just that people often do that when they provide absolutely no context at all ;)

I even got hold of a Gibson trussrod plate. When I broke the neck I had it repaired but it didn't feel the same anymore. I still regret giving it to a friend of mine. He hung it on the wall in his living room. I now own another white Tokai V and it plays great. I don't know what I would give for a copy like this but damn this is so cool! Greetings from Holland.

Well, not counting paint, hardware and body is pretty cheap. Emgs are can be $100 brand new, tuners, bridges, etc aren’t very expensive. I would say to build it yourself, $400-$500

As you can see by my Vic Rattlehead pic and name I am a metalhead. I bought all the parts for my Kirk Hammett Caution Hot Jackson Dinky build from Warmoth. I didn't do a relic job, but I did buy the stickers and put them in the right place. That was my first attempt to pay homage to my boys. I also bought the Angle of Deth V from Dean with his signature p/u's. This will have to be my next project. You have given me inspiration! Fantastic work and attention to detail, and the little jam at the end was perfect. Liked and subbed

Nice to see you're back, I've been obsessed with modifying shitplanks since I first saw "How to make a cheap guitar awesome" back when I was 15 all those years ago. You proved that it IS possible to polish a turd. My wallet wants to say "fck you" but I want to say thanks for introducing me to this world of guitar customization.
