Hi Bob, new to your channel. Loving your videos. I'm from Ireland and I always make scrambled egg with milk in a pot, so I will definitely try this method. Thanks for sharing .
Love scrambled. Have you ever tried bringing down the heat a bit and just breaking them straight into the pan. For most of my life I was mixing seperately before adding them to the pan. Watched a ramsay video where he just added them straight to the pan. I tried it and not only was it easier but it tasted even better.
First off, I take the eggs out of the fridge so they can get to room temp. Second, I get the pan to 360 degrees before I put a little avocado oil and some butter in a pan, then I put the well beaten, salted eggs into the pan and I constantly stir lifting the eggs off the burner back and forth until they are cooked to my preference. I usually make French omelettes. I typically use either a carbon steel pan (SolidTeknics is my brand of choice), or I might use stainless steel.
Glad you are enjoying them, I have been pressed for time so I have not been able to add to many videos lately. I plan to add more videos more consistent very soon! I do have new recipes on my website you should check them out. homecookbasics.com/
There's a few different methods like Gordon Ramsay, Thomas Keller and Heston Blumenthal. I've not tried Heston Bluemthal, but it's an interesting, although very time consuming method.
I do mine totally different. I blend in a tablespoon or creme fraiche with an immersion blender. Then cook low and slow under medium low heat. I finish with a couple teaspoons of cultured butter.
Hey bob i am really enjoying your videos , very beginner friendly and i can follow very easily. Im just gettijng into cooking because i want to learn and im glad i stumbled across your channel. I would love to learn how to make chicken parm. also what are some beginner dinner recipes that you would recommend?
Try me Chicken tacos...homecookbasics.com/grilled-chicken-tacos/ or a great dinner recipe is my chicken florentine... homecookbasics.com/chicken-florentine/
Butter is made from cream. That comes from cow's milk and is skimmed off the top of it. The cream is aerated and the process continues until the air is for out leaving a former liquid in a mostly solid state. The room temperature butter is a good idea and I do that myself. I find it perfectly fine to leave a stick of salted butter outside the refrigerator for 2 days but I wouldn't try it with unsalted otherwise known as sweet butter.
I prefer scrambled eggs cooked in bacon grease (I save it), I also add half and half and black pepper. The bacon grease is already salty and the half and half make them fluffy 😊
I would say about a week or so in a butter dish on the counter. You don't have to store real butter in the fridge. Real butter form the store is pasteurized and in the end is mostly fat and that makes it "safer to bacteria". You will tell when it has gone bad.
lol, butter's made from cow's milk, else it can't just say butter 😉 that other stuff says spread or margarine or some other crazy made up name, that looks like a big breville 4 slot 8 level smart oven air fryer pro, do a review, please
What is your favorite way to make eggs? Do you prefer scrambled, over easy, sunny side up? Let me know in the comments!

So good! Some people like the "other stuff" that is not maple syrup, its truly corn syrup.
Yummy!!😘

Warm butter - how long do you keep a stick of butter out at room temperature?

What type of 🍳 do you use? I wanna buy one.
I use them Madein pans, they have been great.
Can the salt & pepper be added straight after the egg goes into the pan? 🍳
Sure why not!
Scrambled eggs with extra salt is my favorite
Bob, it's Jay give me a call...!
No milk?
No milk for me. I do not see the benefit, I always felt it kind of diluted the egg flavor. My Mom always used milk.
@@homecookbasics Agreed after trying without milk I was hooked.
When I do that, move it around, it starts to stick.
You need more buttA

Ok I will!
😂 he hid the the egg that was stuck to the pan.
I'm English so that just looks like a messed up omelette, I prefer to actually scramble the eggs.
Interesting, to each there own. Thanks for watching.
English "cuisine" sucks big time, so your opinion does not count, Rose! LOL
Don't need ANY fat to cook eggs at all..don't need the greasy mess..to much stirring
So how do you keep eggs from sticking to a stainless steel pan without butter or oil?
Go home, Gerald... You're drunk!
Do you have kids?
I like scrambled eggs with cheese. I like my eggs moist
Cheese is good
