Rich your rocking. Seems like your more relaxed, laughing and smiling on camera. Good for you. Jen you are always great...keep them coming. We sear the water meat with a propane torch right on the plate. No fuss no muss...
Boy I sure am learning a lot of with you guys about my solar and how that energy victron energy thing works I'm just learning how to use it but watching your video now really explains a lot more in detail to me of how it works and how to figure out what's coming in and what's going out so thanks a lot you guys enjoy your tacos your friend. Thanks for a very informative and timely video. We have been considering a similar conversion. Your consumption stats are a key element in the decision process. Hadn’t included the Sous Vide in our set up. It certainly contributes positively as far as flexibility in cooking options. Will include it now. Cheers Kevin H
Wow, you answered some of my questions to you the other week. Great job on the video. How does your oven compare to what you showed about the cooktop? I am really thinking of replicating your setup and would love to learn more before I take the leap. I don't have propane onboard except for the stern grill and have a Oringo 3000 ( needs work) for the galley with no oven. So I am really interested. Thanks for all your videos that provide some thinking points on how I would improve my boat.
Thank you for posting this. The consumption information was useful and Jenny answered a question that’s been on my mind for a while, “How does Rich stay so trim?”. We made the decision to ditch the propane a few days ago and have watched every boat induction video we could find; we haven’t seen one yet where people regretted the switch. SV Delos’ experience was particularly interesting and affirming because they are so often off grid.
I am researching lithium and solar for our new (to us) sailboat (also a Bob Perry design!), and have a question. If you were on anchor and had some heavy cloud cover, how many days do you think you could go before needing to recharge with some other source. (without going into rationing mode) Our boat currently has 4 Trojan 6V and 150 watts of solar (2 x 75W), and I am trying to figure out how much solar and storage I need, then how much I might want. The batteries are new, so I will be doing some testing with the current set up soon.
What size is your battery bank and your solar-panels. Refrig and hot water heater. I guess I should ask for your actual loads list. Thank you very much
Hey Guys. Love your channel. Have a solar project I'm just planning out now and hope you can help. Does each solar panel need an mppt controller or one with the size depending on the amount of solar you plan on harnessing? If one controller, and 4 200W panels, how do the 4 panel wires hook up into the one controller? Also, house bank batteries. Looking at 500Ah. Does battery bank need to be in increments of 200Ah?
