I bought brand new sg standard -22 played happily. About 1 year later found a used sg 61' reissue pretty ok deal and it became my favorite guitar straight away. I have found out it is 2013 standard! Still best guitar I have ever played! I really like horns to be sharp, not like my -22 where the other horn is more like a bubble and that slim neck is for my tiny hands better.
I have a 2013 SG 50s Tribute w/Bigsby and chrome P90s includes a 70s "chainsaw " case for sale for $1,100. The SG is walnut w/cream plastics and has custom etching of roses(front) and rattlesnake (back). Plays perfectly set up for slide.
I have a 2013 sg standard. The serial numbers still used the 1st & 5th number for the year. It looks as though yours is 2012. The tuners are kluson deluxe, the auto tuners were introduced on the 2015 models
You're right about the serial! This was an early guitar of the "2013" model standards. I have a cherry red 1 too. I have owned 12+ sg standards.
this 1 felt special and better quality. I intend to keep this.
You’ve got a murphy lab relic without the price tag…and its natural relic…I’d leave it as is too…looks great👍

The first guitar I bought with my own money was a 2013 natural burst SG that will have to be pried from my cold dead hands.
