    Very nice job! I'm getting ready to build a window greenhouse from salvaged windows so this was very helpful. Thank you.

    "Pride of craftmanship" trumps "over budget" every time. And for a bunch of oddball sized free windows....I think you made them work GREAT!!!

      Getting closer to done, hopefully the outside will be complete by the end of the weekend... then I can go back to working on the zipline :)

    You did an awesome job Chris. Really looks nice. Excellent job on the frame work and entry stone work. I could tell at about 6 minutes into todays video, your Appalachian weather is exactly what it is in north central West Virginia, never know when pop up rain shower is gonna happen. Our weather pretty much all summer long has been just like that. I guess we should be thankful for the rain. LoL.

      Very wet summer here, but not complaining. Didn’t have to water any plants hardly at all this year.

      Do you have a video showing how polycarbonate is looking now?
      We have cedar structure up, next step is the roof and walls.
      We're out in VA, and can't wait to finally have a controlled environment...

      I sort of do. Basically looks just the same but I do show it in this video when up looking up at the ceiling. TNT #212: One year review of Greenhouse Build

    WIth the Purlins, did you not have to line up the sheets with the rafters ? Nice Video :)

    • @TryNewThings
      @TryNewThings  2 месяца назад

      Tried to line up the rafters with the vertical seam locations. Did not account correctly for the piece thickness that joints one sheet to the next. So I was out a half inch for each subsequent sheet (if I did not trim them)

      @@TryNewThings THs is the exact thing I was needing to hear. Thanks. These companies that sell the plastic have minimal information on rafter spacing, I h=guess if a person uses purlins, they can get away without the company's information. Thanks again !
