additional point especially for most private individual consumers ......you do not need to update the software for the price every year if youre like me with just one car and not a bunch of cars or intending to add a new car.It will still function normally except for the possibility that some new update for your specific vehicle has come up. And if that is the issue ,you can pay for the update at that time. So basically the majority of users will not need to pay an annual subscription.
I just received this unit. So far I love this little unit. My big concern with it is the only way I could get it working was to give the software complete permissions to my whole phone. Very sketch.
I was going to order one but this is a deal breaker for me. I do have an old phone I don't use that has nothing on that I might think about using just for this. Thanks for the heads up!
Codes do not mean active problems. Most of the "MINOR issues" generate codes when a set of conditions fail or go above/below thresholds and stay on ECU's forever until they are manually cleared. 99% of drivers will never know they about them unless they scan the ECU, this happened to you those codes were probably related with old services you did (like the one on your door), even a simple light bulbs replacement in some vehicles can generate one error code. There are other type of codes like brake system related. For example ABS light will show up and a code will be stored on ECU if something is not within threshold when you switch on the car/ignition, if you scan you will find the code. If you switch off the car and switch on again and the values are now back to normal light will cease, the ECU will clear that code automatically and you will not be able to find those codes again if you scan after that. (in most vehicles) This scanner has a great potential, hopefully more like this low budget will start to appear to take down the big overpriced monopolies that we all know about... :)
Any insight picked one of these up and no matter what vehicle I plug into the only feature that shows is auto scan. So far a waste of money, not sure if it’s user error or a broken unit.
Nice video, I have a 2014 jeep gc summit and the driver side mirror is opening passed the original set position, it closes fine but open all the way pass the middle mark or should I say the original position, any advice?

It's free , you buy fiscally and then update to day when you have it, download the brand car what you need to scan. I have it from more than 1 year and is very useful!
I reckon this has something to do with the phones internals that relate to ability to run 64bit only apps i had trouble going the other way and sideloading a 32bit app to pixel 7a it doesn't work as i found out later google no longer support 32bit apps on pixels from 7 on sometime in future all apps on playstore will be 64bit only
Hey, I have a '17 hybrid Platinum. One thing that bugs me is that the car doesn't have a digital speed display on the little screen between gauges. Anyway, can you customize the gauge cluster with "topscan"?
Is there a user manual for this thing? What's the secret to getting it to work? It's not user friendly at all and I can't get it to do anything using Topscan. On my Toyota all it does is go to a blank Diagnostic screen that I can't get out of unless I exit the program then it won't reconnect! Seems very buggy plus you have to create an account and login to use the stupid thing!

Hi i brought this model after i confirmed disconnect obd and removed went to start car and it did nothing . Tried again and it struggled to turn over can you tell me why it did this did i remove too quick vehicle is a ford focus 2011 hatch back

Bought one - updated firmware - will not download vehicles/recognize my car using autoVIN scan, says my vehicle isn't listed when I type in the VIN, appears to be a huge piece of trash. Great paperweight. Way to make money advertising for a shell company, their website doesn't even load vehicles supported.
I bought one of those last week. Hooked it up to my Mitsubishi triton with no known faults. I did a scan and it came up with seven faults in my ABS. It then set my check engine light, traction control light and ABS. It would not clear the faults and when I disconnect it the lights stayed on. Top Don tech support have been no help. I would not recommend this tool and will not use mine again.
Stop and think about what you are really getting though right, even if you paid that every year for 10 years its a bargain for the capability compared to buying a full size dedicated scan tool. I just never really understand why people can complain about this, it's the nature of life nothing good, great and or useful is going to be free. I think in this case it's like a rent to own or budgeted way of having a good thing over time.

I am a guy who owns a car who only connects his scanner whenever the car produces an error and tries to troubleshoot it. Of course the more info I can get from the scanner the better, but I only connect my scanner to my car once a year if any. Not a complain. Just saying.

I know that keeping software running gonna generate costs, but they need to be precise about what subscription gives. If this will be useless brick after subscription end any Delphi etc will be beter.

Of course, every obd reader has to be plugged in in your cars obd port.
