100% agree! We had a pair of Jacks for 14 years and always had a routine for them to burn energy and whenever left the house they were crate trained. We had alot of fun with them doing go to ground trials and walking in the woods chasing squirrels, rabbits, fox, and racoons!

I have both a male and female JRT. They get bored without any walks or play. I found my female JRT chewing on the sofa cover. She chewed 5-6 holes in it. I was surprised because she rarely does anything. Since the weather has been cold, I have not taken them for their daily walks. Today, here in St. Louis, it's going to be 50 degrees. So, a walk is in store. The separation anxiety with Jack Russell's is real. I take them almost everywhere with me. They enjoy car rides.

Our 3 year old dog loves car rides too, but he will NOT jump in the car. I have not been able to break this fear? He even starts to piddle! We got him as a puppy…10 weeks old, maybe older. But no way will he jumps in car for by-by. We end up picking him up. I think that’s the way it will be forever. Once in car, oh man…he loves it! Hangs his head out the window, lays down for a bit, then looking out window again…so cute..❤

I have a one year old jack rat and I LOVE HER!!! I tell my husband I want a whole farm of them! Everything you said is so true! She is an inside furbaby. Seperation anxiety is real for her too.

My dog is actually my 2nd Jack both dogs are very different though my last dog Toby was so ball obsessed which was great because i could let him offf the lead and he would chase that ball for hours and hed retreive it and follow me when he was off lead.
My new Dog Teddy isnt interested in balls. He will chase it but wont return it.
Its just how he is i doubt i can get him loving a ball like Toby unfortunately. I rarely let him off lead only when i see dog owners that allow him to play with their dogs. Hes still got his balls so i need to be very careful. After losing my Toby it broke me. 3 months after i had to get another and i chose a PRT hes cool but will just run off if he feels like it so it is challenging

How do you break fear in a 3 year old? He will not jump in car, even excited to go by by. He will piddle when we finally pick him up and put him in the car. Yet wants to go with us so bad. It’s sad…he acts like he’s going to be beat! We never hit our dog, never! Yet…you’d think we did by the way he acts. How do we get him to jump in the car? Oh..once in, he loves it, hanging head out window for a bit, then laying down. He’s a great traveler, but he won’t jump in car….

I have a five year old from birth. She has licked us for 5 years. How can I get her to stop licking everyone and climbing on your shoulders while seated! She is so loving, but licking you all the time is frustrating!! 14:42
