I would like to go somewhere in between. I love to have a good looking ride, but I want to be able to get on it as well. 19s are what come on the AWDs stock so I feel that 20s are a good option
V6 20s , v8 22s.. personally 20s are too small for a car this big but I’m from Mississippi and we just ride bigger wheels .. yours is bagged so it looks hella nice that way.. those fr4’s are nice as hell tho . That’s different because everybody has the hellcat wheels
I have 22 inch wheels and 265/35R22 tires have plenty of sidewall. But if you wanna run a thicker tire like me you have to shave down that control arm bolt so it won't rub
22s don’t hurt the car.. they are not very much different from the 20s, there is always pros and cons to things. that’s life, just enjoy the big boys.. comes down to preference
I was just thinking about this today.... i ask myself, why would you go 22s on a car that already comes with rims that perfectly match the car... in my opinion though. I do understand preferences and likes...
I had 22s on my v6 challenger but they felt heavy as hell and slowed me down so i downsized to 20s and i can def tell the difference in MPG, acceleration and handling
Man those 22s did look good....I'm trying to make the decision now on 20s or 22s appreciate the good info and tips I'm leaning toward ferradas as well...cool vid subbed 👍🏽💪🏽✌🏽
I'm on 24s, iv had 20s, 22s, and 24s, I love my 24s but I want to get a nice pair of 20s for main use and 24s for show and a nice sunny day, it will take awhile to get used to the 20s again that's for sure lol
Logical. Good explanation. Like with my goal the drag set up goes down to 17s. Fill the rest of the wheel well up with rubber!!! Appreciate the love bro.
Ok bro, we need to have a discussion if you dont mind lol. So I completely agree with everything you're saying, being you have AWD and you're in a charger thats super charged. All that Speed running ontop of a 22" wheel seems diabolical lol. But lets take out the AWD and powerhouse transmission. My car is a "2018 Chevy Impala," with a normal V6 engine, FWD. So If you had the car, would you prefer 20 or 22 inches on something like that??? I was personally set in stone for 20's. It seemed to be the most logical choice in my book. I thought it was a perfect balance between style and performance. But eeeeeeevery single person is saying "You need to go 22." I've heard this for 3 weeks straight no matter what car enthusiast I had asked, and they all have really good points. So much so, I just yesterday cancelled my order for the 20 inch wheels and instead ordered the 22's. But Im still abit nervous with the purchase switch, because the internet is like "22's!? ARE YOU CRAZY!!!???" lol. So anyway, long story short. My car isn't a muscle car, it's not a tuner, it's none of that. So Im like, ok I think I should be safe on 22's right? Though when I get on a highway, I meeeeaaaan.... I go straight Need for speed on that MF. 100 mph if the road is open enough. With that in mind.... Do I really have any business on 22's? Or should I realistically be fine? (Granted im not on the highway often at all)
I have a 2013 charger SE. I have 295/45/20 in the back and 245/45/20 in front. Can I put 275/40/20 in the front? I'm building it up for "show" and "go"
Very informative video. Thanks D_Dot_Ford. I also have a 2018 awd charger. Thinking about going up to 20’s just to get rid of some of that gap. Any ideas for brand of rims? I want to stay with the sporty look. Thanks
@D_DOT_FORD why did you choose ripp over the competitor twin screw? same price and it has a wine. kind of wanted your input on it since you said you did alot of research I've been doing some and i kind of want to hear your thoughts on why you went the centrifugal supercharger.
Ripp is prove. Through the years. I spoke with a few companies and Ripp answered every questions I had. Others would start to talk but then cut off communication. This to me is telling because if you’re not willing to answer my question when you’re trying to sell me the product what will happen when I have the kit. And now that I have the kit Ripp always reaches out to me to see if there is anything they can do
@@DDOTFORD another thing I'm having a hard time on is how is the maintenance on the car do you do it yourself or send it to a shop? are you able to just take the supercharger off and put it back on after whatever you needed to fix was done? would i need to get it re tuned after that? I apologize if this is to many questions.
I will be getting blaque diamonds BD21 for my 2014 AWD Charger when the snow melts and am not sure of the offset. What is the offset of your new Ace 20s?
Ok I want to get new rims, 20s, but I want to go to 275/40r20 on all four. What rim size/width with what offset should I look for? Those ferrada rims looked great too. I trying to find some rims that look similar but are cheaper; do u have a suggestion? I have a 2017 charger SE
First and foremost I want to apologize for the poor choice of words I used now with that being said I believe Dodge Chargers belong on 20's and nothing else
D-DOT-FORD, I just installed the hellcat replica rims 20x9.5 inch on my 2016 AWD charger, since it’s AWD, so the tires do stick out a little bit which looks fine to me. I put 245/45/20 winter tires on for winter for now, but I am thinking to get 275/40/20 summer tires after winter. The tire shop guy did say 245 now is fine on the hellcat rims for AWD charger but for 275 width tires would probably rub the car when making turns or wont fit. I don’t believe so. You have AWD, can you please help out with this? Thanks.
My previous set up I have 22x11 in the rear with 295/30/22 no rubbing. But the only reason was because I had no meat on my tires. I’m not riding with 20s and have 265/40 and no issues.
D_DOT_FORD Thanks for the fast reply, since I purchased the exact same size rims as the hellcats, i will put 275/40/20 summer tires on the rims. If you put 22x11 and 295width with no problem then i will be totally fine lol. Thank you.
D_DOT_FORD Just missed one thing, were your previous front tires set up the same as rear or just went with 245? DO you think 275 for front tires should also be fine?
Bro I hope can win the ripp supercharger. I already have 3.6 challenger and want to make videos like you and 86face. You should check out my vid for a well priced oil catch can on my channel
The Ripp package isn’t going to be a supercharger haha. They are putting something things together but I’m sure it won’t be a 6500 kit for free would be nice though
I think 20’s with a thicker tire better more comfortable ride.
Yea it does
D_DOT_FORD a
Actual Facts Boxing Talk A.Santos I agree 100%

I had 22s on my Charger with 265/35/22 tires and it rode like factory. I went back to 20s when I lowered my car.
I have 22s on my charger r/t hemi thats the max size of rims u could put it literally a 1/4 inch close to touching the upper control arm.
Nah bro I had 24s on mine
@@MAGNUMTIZED79 oh yeah l bet you needed, rim spacers didn't you.

Get the 22s for the look (feel every bump), or 20s for a better ride/performance.
Very true
20s you don’t want to make the car heavier especially if your going to be hitting the gas a lot
22s don’t hurt the car.. they are not very much different from the 20s, there is always pros and cons to things. that’s life, just enjoy the big boys.. comes down to preference
I have 24s and they feel just like my factory 20s
I believe it just like I said my 22s was great but after I bagged it I started having issues
24s I still had a nice ride but to many potholes in my city so I'm rocking 22s now
I was just thinking about this today.... i ask myself, why would you go 22s on a car that already comes with rims that perfectly match the car... in my opinion though. I do understand preferences and likes...
I think a little t of people who initially go 22s or higher think show first but when I decided to supercharge it I needed a change
I had 22s on my v6 challenger but they felt heavy as hell and slowed me down so i downsized to 20s and i can def tell the difference in MPG, acceleration and handling

Always Bro #teamripp
I'm going 19 or 20's and lowering my car a bit. Can't have low profile tires in Chicago :(
I know the feeling
Ive always been putting 22s on my magnum with 265-35-22 tires. No rub no nothing.

Hell yea. AWD Gang
Have you considered 21" wheels?
Yea I have. Took it into great consideration. Actually almost did it
You didn't have any issues with the awd? Cuz you had the stagger set up ? Let me know please. Everyone says you can have a stagger set up on AWD cars!
Notification squad hahah 🤙🏽I personally like 20s hahaha

I’m looking for some 20in hellcat rims
The newer hellcat rims?
Yes
Y’all guy car reviews is having a meet and greet in June you should come
Slim is? Where?
In Minnesota at it’s suppose to be the 24th of June which is on a Sunday and it’s suppose to be at the dealership where he got his car from
24s would be nice
Lol
I Just Put 22’s On My Charger But It Rub When I Do A Turn , I Was Thinking About Adding Spacers What Do You Think ?
Sure I have two inch hub centric spacers on my challenger
I got a Ford Taurus 2011. Big sized car. 22” or 20”?
20s for sure!
I say 20's for me i just like to race and i like the race look
Yea 20s to me is more logical for what I got
D_DOT_FORD 22's look good also just to big for my taste
22s was really eye catchy honestly but 20s is just an all around better wheel
How u get the grille?
What are the bags you’re referring to?

You want something practical so lo pros may be the way to go if you do 22s
That would be very unattractive
265-35-22 thats a good tire size
I’m looking to buy a charger but not a 18 or 19. Which year and trim you think is the best ?
Officer Orange cheetolini 08 RT
Q why you say that?
Officer Orange cheetolini the body style is better imo. And plus U get the hemi
Q isn’t all the R/T Hemi?
You mean the 08-14 body styles?
Where you get the front splitter?
Abaza Carbon
😎🇺🇸👍 20s more rubber on the road ✌🏻
