thank you for this testing. I am actually using these SATA III SSDs with a direct cable usb-c to SATA. I don't fully grasp the purpose of the enclosure .... just for protection? Seems that the internal SSDs are quite durable and impermeable but have not tried to drop them to see if they resist the shock. And indeed, I have been trying measuring copying different amount of data and the results are surprising and not always aligning with Blackmagic test.
With that cable you could skip the enclosure, but yes they do provide a level of protection. Maybe I’ll try a drop test at some point. Thanks for the Blackmagic reference.
