Duuuude, the emotions I felt when Megatron carried the replica Rewind out of Magnus' armour were indescribable. And even more indescribable was the happiness when Skids told Chromedome to go on the ship's roof
Gotta say, in terms of character, I prefer the scholar/scientist from IDW rather than the hot-headed fighter from The Headmasters. Chromedome’s personality from the headmasters his basically the same fiery-tempered fighter-for-justice we’ve seen in a lot of anime, JRPGs, and even other TF shows, it’s a bit too basic. Chromedome’s personality in IDW was much more interesting and tragic, his guilt over changing people’s memories during the war, his relationship with Rewind, it’s a much more compelling character than what Headmasters gave us.
Not to mention his name actually makes sense if he's a scientist. Most of the initial Headmasters' names contained puns about heads, and as a result, also referenced academia. Chromedome's name is meant to imply that he's an egghead, a nerd among nerds.
I like the Japanese version of the headmaster's origin better than the Marvel one. The whole concept of Nebulos just doesn't work for me for some reason.
Agree, the real cybertronian being only the head and the body being a vehicle is much better, not only allows them to save energy without having to become Micromasters but allows them to exchange bodies and as long the head survives they won't be killed. They even have the advantages of the comics Headmasters without their disadvantages.
Transformers Headmasters japanese version of Chromedome still best the typical hot-blooded with strong sense of justice but also smart too. Like any protagonists would do as Convoy and Rodimus Convoy. He has romantic relationship towards Arcee oblivious love interest.
Still prefer Japanese Chromedome to this day. IDW Chromedome is alright, but I really don’t care for that version of Chromedome. The young and spirited Autobot Headmaster from the Planet Master is who I think of, and honestly I wish we saw more of him.

In the final 3 part episode the rebirth. Chromedome was one of the characters that was a mystery. They never had him talk much so you didn't get to see much of his personality. The same for Point-blank too.
I still don't get romance with transformers. Tbh I don't get gender with them either it should really be that there is no concept of it and you just have a style a format.
I find it interesting that in Headmasters Chromedome was a bot who left Cybertron "Millions of years ago", but is a "young bot". And he doesn't even have the Ark crew excuse of being offline for 4 million years after crashing.
Chromedome is so iconic. He's a japanese protagonist, he's a mind editing surgeon and he and Rewind are the most iconic gay couple the fandom knows and loves.

It has to be said, Destro will always be THE Chromedome.
Of course the first gay character in Transformers would just lead to a bury your gays trope.
Well, yes but actually no. They back peddled on that VERY hard. I’m happy to report Chromedome and Rewind made it to the end of the series and got to walk off into that sweet sunset.
"Yeah we gay,keep scrolling"
I find it hilarious that ChromeDome is usually an insult or nickname for a bald person. Granted Hardhead isn't exactly a compliment either. Surprise there wasn't one called Airhead or Brainfart.
Or Numbskull
Airhead would work with transformer with flying altmode, to reinterpret his name he could be air commander
I think you kind of described Highbrow and Brainstorm without meaning to.
What about Scrap face
I like cromedome's colors ,they stand out among the other guys.
Never rly knew much about the character tho, great video 👍 love your work
In the final 3 part episode the rebirth. Chromedome was one of the characters that was a mystery. They never had him talk much so you didn't get to see much of his personality. The same for Point-blank too.
This likely ain’t gonna happen, but could I request the basics on metroplex, stunticons and protectobots?
I like the Japanese version of headmasters than the American version from Macon Ga USA
I always thought Chromedome and the other Season 4 bots came from Paradron.
Happy Pride

How about making "The basic of Tracks"
Thanks in advance
Their Conjux Endura almost made me cry, goes "Domey"!
Really liked how Brainstorm cared for him too when he was grieving the loss of Rewind
Chromedome's friends Jack and Abel. I don't know why, but "Jack and Abel" sounds so much like it's a pun I'm not getting, even though I'm sure it's not.
Is he abel to jack Rewind
*me seeing the title* “isn’t that the gay one?”
I still prefer the japanses take on headmaster just makes more intresting turning head master from "davids" into "goliaths" to survive.
